Just what is there anymore of the low end market for the lowbie dwarf?
A dwarf to make lvl 1 and 2 mats isn't needed anymore because of the manor system. Selling soul and spirt ore any profit has dried up when the castles moved in. And no one wants D grade shots anymore...
The fun aspect of being a money making dwarf needs some serious boost.
And the people that say well just do seal stones or crystals, us lowbie dwarfs don't have 50 million laying around in spare change.
There's still a bit of a market...I just head one shout for D grade SS today in Gluido. And given the lockdown on items like animal bone in the manor I'd still say there is a bit of a demand for crafts like Coarse bone powder.
but I think the 'rush' of peopel making A/S grade equip is over. Now it's back down to the slow but steady amounts. If anything B grade equip will see a slight reboost as more people start to subclass a bit more.
Markets cater to demand. If 99% of the demand is A/S grade, obviously a lowbie dwarf doesn't have much to gain because he's in the wrong market. Dwarves don't need any economic boosts unless its cheaper SELF manufactured soulshots so they get better profit margins.
I must have sold 250k ssd the last 3-4 days alone in dion (More than 100k shots last night alone ) with pricing 11a - 12a depending on my crystal expense, so calling the market for shots dead is somewhat of an exaggeration I think. I either craft some low stuff and crystalize or find a good deal on low-mid grade stuff.
I picked up my dwarf when I came back to game two weeks ago, and got it from 33 to 40 and made class-change. The rest of the time ive been trying to make money for c grade ( self sufficient dwarf ) and made 100k into 12kkk in little under a week. Some of that derive from shots.
D soulshot market is popular now, because there is great demand due to levelling academy members.
Low crafts nonexistant? Hm, I was preparing materials for SoM ... 160 mithril alloy, 160 synthetic cokes, and other stuffs crafted from only raw materials I got from spoils and manor. Drained my SE's mana, my BF's SE mana, friend dwarf mana, and all dwarves in giran I was able to find...
Also most of the time I see dwarves in giran with low or depleted mana in private manufactures, so I do not think that market is dead. My dwarf with level 2 crafter can make several ten thousands adena during the night in giran - not much compared to multimillion earnings crafting A/S weapons and reselling, but every bit helps.
Dion is still THE city for anything that has to do with D and C grade, at least on Sieghardt dwarves that sell DSS for 11-12a are sold out in a matter of time.
Same with scrolls, weapons, armour, whatever really.
D grade market is alive as ever. And indeed mostly because of the academy.
High level players who play academy noobs for rep points and for whom DSS / DBSpS costs are irrelevant = good times for D grade shots crafters. Probably also a good time for selling top D weapons/armors, EWD and even C grade for those who want to play their academy toons a bit longer after graduating.
