SE and BH duo setup

I'm looking into most effective DPS setup.
Now BH is kinda easy: gonna try Plated for a while with +5 STR/+4 DEX tats and crit duals. Otherwise BW heavy.

What about SE? At the moment he does like 30-40% damage on a single mob, while BH the rest. And he doesn't want to sit while I fight either. Has anyone tried putting Plated set on SE? How much MP regeneration does he lose? I know healing would be a lot slower, but you can always use BSPS. And its not often either when fighting green mobs. VR helps.

What about the weapon? I was thinking crit duals, though M.Atk is slower and because of it Greater Heal is less effective. Allthough I don't know if the M.Atk effects the reg effect as well? It does first heal, but nothing to scream about.

Tats? +5 STR / -5 CON or reverse?:) +4 WIT is must though. The question I need to know if those hits are still gonna matter later now. Like I've said at level 47 he does 30-40% total damage which is not neglectable.

I know a SE like that would be gimped for pretty much everything except duo.
Btw how are two handed blunts with Focus comparing to duals with focus? Do blunt masteries apply to two handed blunts?

yup but still not worth it
the highest dps you can get with a dwarf is with a set of focus duels
i tested a meteor shower with focus vs a set of kesh*kesh and the kesh actually done more damage despite the meteor haveing a sa and me haveing over 70 lvls of blunt mastery
Higest DPS you can get ingame is with an Meteor shower with Focus. FINAL.

And I can backup my clames.

http://lineage2.mugimugi.org/Stats3.png

I need to explain this pic ofcorse.
Thers 5 tabs, the % tab is the crit rate you wuld have with just Focus buff, hte Crit 1x is 1x crit damage aka if you wuld never crit, Crit 2x is criting for 2x damage aka just a normal crit, Crit 3x is with DW, and 4x is wit han BD in the party.

Elysian Axe +0 = 100% damage aka, thats where all the damage difference where calculated from, All weapons ingame here is also what I got ( except meteor shower +5 ) So I can say for sure I know my words about this.

Btw that stats is counted off from what an lv 74 BH wuld have.

The first 50 or so lv's is fine with crit duals but from here on due the new crit 2 handed blunts your actually way of beter to get them specialy at like lv 55+

Armor Plated Leather works up to 55 or so as well around here the damage become usualy to greate and BW is a really good choise, at A grade Tallum heavy is the armor for highest DPS.

Higest DPS you can get ingame is with an Meteor shower with Focus. FINAL.

Obviously that is assuming comparable levels of enchants. A +20 Doom Crusher would probably kick some real butt ;)

The Kesh*Kesh +4 didn't get as good of numbers as the meteor shower +3:

Kesh*Kesh +4: -9% +1% +12% +22%
I was more interested in SE setup, but ok:)

Anyway you can get rather accurate stats for weapons with buffs and equipment from the following tool:
http://rapidshare.de/files/36867486/l2calc.rar

But is it possible to calculate DPS if you know P.Atk, Atk. Speed, Critical rate? I am really interested in those two handed blunt duals with Focus.
http://l2p.bravehost.com/patk.html

Add in crit damage is a LOT more harder then this thoght.

A normal crit unbuffed is 2x the damage, with DW it's 2x *1,3 damage and with an BD it's 2x *1,3*1,3 in damage per crit.

the crit rate is critrate / 1000 to get the % out of it, and this is 'upfront' crit rate, I know it differ from behind and the sides.

But is it possible to calculate DPS if you know P.Atk, Atk. Speed, Critical rate? I am really interested in those two handed blunt duals with Focus.

You can calculate a number proportional to DPS -- DPS also depends on the pdef of the target.

Your formula is going to be:

[Character PATK]*[Character ATK SPD]*( [Crit Rate]*[Crit Damage Boost] + ( 1 - [Crit Rate] ) )

The Character PATK is the PATK listed on your character tab, counting in all buffs and masteries. L2P has the data on how to calculate that from your weapon PATK.

Likewise Character ATK Speed is on the character tab.

Crit rate is the actual fraction of attacks that are critical, they are the number on your character screen divided by 1000. This number caps at 0.5.

The crit damage boost is how much damage your crits do -- for example, if you have no buffs the number is 2 because a crit deals double damage. Buffs that boost critical damage boost this number (which sadly isn't listed on the character select page).

I'm looking into most effective DPS setup.

Polearm on a dwarf and +Wit +Con +Dex tattoos on a SE?
Arigato: are you sure about Crit rate formula? Cause if I change crit from 45 to 150 DPS increase is for example from 209k to 230k on BH.

So Crit Rate = Critical / 1000
and the last part of the formula would look like:
(Critical/1000*2 + (1-Critical/1000)

Agreed.
I don't agree, for a BH where you hunt specific there is no choice to hunt group mobs and even if they are annoying and so is spoiling.

That should be right. Effectively the last part of the equation is:

[Damage Bonus on Crits][Chance of Critting] + [Damage bonus on non-crits][Chance of not critting]

Where damage bonus on non-crits = 1 (no bonus damage), and chance of not critting = 1 - chance of critting.

It's a weighted average of what your overall damage bonus is. That is, if you hit for 2x damage 15% of the time, and 1x damage 85% of the time, your overall damage bonus is (2)(.15) + (1)(.85) = 1.15.

Technically it's only a close approximation because it doesn't take missing into account. You should technically subtract out the chance of missing, but as that depends on many factors (like each individual mob has its own evasion), it's really impossible to account for.
Thanks, I did some math and got the following resaults with:
-no armor
-buffs means Might3, Focus3, DW2 (yes two)
-blunt mastery at specific level is maxed
-all weapons +4 cause its not fair to compare with +4 duals otherwise

BH at level 40 (without buffs/with buffs):
158k/215k Yaksa Mace+4 Rsk Focus
143k/150K Crystal Dagger+4 Crt Damage*
188k/250k Spirit*Raid+4 Focus
157k/190k Dwarven Hamer+4 Anger
Best C buffed and unbuffed weapon is Spirit*Raid at L40.
*didn't know how to calculate Crt Damage from Crystal

BH at level 52 (without buffs/with buffs):
185k/261k Yaksa Mace+4 Rsk Focus
156k/208K Crystal Dagger+4 Crt Damage
161k/214k Spirit*Raid+4 Focus
180k/219k Dwarven Hamer+4 Anger
217k/291k Art of Battle Axe+4 Rsk Focus
209k/254k Art of Battle Axe+4 Haste
199k/254k Samurai*Samurai+4 Haste
193k/259k Tsurugi*Samurai+4 Focus
Best weapon at l52 is AOBA with Rsk Focus, though keeping 60% HP can be annoying. 2nd best is AOBA+4 Haste unbuffed and Tsu*Sam+4 buffed
Interesting: 2nd best C weapon becomes Dwarven Hammer.

BH at level 62 (without buffs/with buffs):
245k/329k Art of Battle Axe+4 Rsk Focus
237k/288k Art of Battle Axe+4 Haste
213k/272k Samurai*Samurai+4 Haste
206k/277k Tsurugi*Samurai+4 Focus
259k/336k Meteor Shower+4 Focus
243k/310k Damascus*Damascus +4
243k/310k Kesh*Kesh +4
276k/336k Elysian Axe+4 Anger
240k/339k Bloody Orchid+4 Focus
Best unbuffed weapon is Elysian Axe+4 Anger, best buffed is Bloody Orchid+4 Focus. Though numbers are very close with Ely+4, Meteor+4 and even AOBA+4.

What I would like to add are two handed blunts since stats for Dwarven Hammer at l52 look promising.
I also didn't take Accuracy into consideration. What would the formula for that look like?

PS: Mistakes are possible.
OMG Vampir2...its just a game, not a mathematical thing. :P

There is plenty of choice to hunt group, social and/or tightly packed aggro mobs with good spoil at least until you reach A-grade. Sure, hunting and spoiling them requires some players' skills, but that's what will give your duo the highest possible DPS. It's much more fun for both of you in the long run, too.

And by the way, what do you think you have your Spoil Festival skill for?
Small Parties are always nice for a BH, preferly 1 suport, + DD, and the BH = Good kill speed and not to many to share spoils with. 9 party groups for a BH is sueside if you want to consider farm 'cash' becose your not gona earn anything specefic in thoes parties.
Anyone know what Doom Crusher Anger SA does? L2Calc lists as 11% P.Atk increase, yet its not confired. And according to l2...(isn't allowed here) the recipe drop rate is 1/60k.

Anyway here is a list of two handed blunts I needed:
* Dwarven Hammer: 190/83 C Grade : Health, Anger, Crt.Bleed
* Horn of Karik: C Grade : 169/76 Focus, Haste, Crt.Drain
* Star Burster: B Grade :236/99 Health, Haste, Rsk.Focus
* Ice Storm Hammer: B Grade :213/91 Focus, Anger, Crt.Bleed
* Destroyer's Hammer:259/107 A Grade : Health, Haste, Crt.Drain
* Doom Crusher: 282/114 A Grade: Health, Anger, Rsk.Haste
Back to the point.. lol.

If you must have light for your SE, go with BW light if you can. It is 100% the healer's light armor set.

I am a firm believer that an SE who is not tanking has very little need for light armor. Robes offer a larger MP pool, faster heals, faster buffs, and even with the ++mp regen of BW light, faster mp regen. She shouldn't grab aggro enough to need the added pdef of the light set.

That being said, I melee'd my SE from ~65-69. She duo'd with my prophet, both wore robes. Quite a few times, the quickness of her casts saved her life. (Majestic robes for the SE, BW for the pp, btw.)
Forget about Doom Crusher, the reciep you can get for 4m if you want no big deal at all, the key items you don't get, the only drop in 1 dungeon ingame and all from +82 mobs, I've yet to see the key items out on the market.

I got one of hte doom crushers on lionna, may actually be the ONLY one on lionna to.

http://lineage2.mugimugi.org/doom_h.jpg

As for the Anger SA nobody knows, I dont' like em, wuld never want to have my HP below 60%, I'l go for just Health wich I should have later today got the SA crystal form the event >:) and I get 25% more HP and 5% PVP bonus :P As doom crusher is a really good PVP weapon.
SilverWolfEcho: One question, do you lose attack speed when switching from Robes to Light? According L2calc you do.

Plechan: Anger SA takes 15%. Rsk Focus is the one that needs below 60% HP. But if you use it both Yaksa and AOBA rule every weapon till L60 or so.

And DPS from a SE is very important, for example
BH l52 with BW heavy and Tsu*Sam+4 Focus does 332k DPS
while
SE L50 with Karmian and Tsu*Sam+4 Focus does 185k DPS

I've also added 2h blunts to the table (won't post stats). At level 52 Ice Storm Hammer, Star Busterer, Tsu*Sam and AOBA haste are all within 5% DPS and it goes till L62 where Ice Storm Hammer+4 Focus is on top. With SE buffs.

At L70 Meteor Shower+4 Focus and Bloody Orchid+4 Focus have almost the same DPS with SE buffs, though one has 100 while the other 109 accuracy. With SWS buffs Bloody Orchid seems to be the best weapon, though I have yet to account accuracy.
PleChan: what does description on Doom Crusher for Anger say?
332k damage per second?

Well... actually, you cannot directly compare SEs and BHs DPS. First of all, you need buffs, heals and recharges from a SE (takes time), then you don't really want a SE to tank (so, an SE does not hit until BH finishes first Spoil), then BH has an overhit...
I don't have the SA so I can't say, I wuld never go for it anyway. I only got Doom crusher becose it's hte best PVP weapon choise, not becose of damage but becose of other things.

Such as:

* Health SA is nice in PVP specialy for a dwarf, damage dosnt trully mater to much.
* Stun last beter with it, slower atk speed higher damage per hit, stun average last 2,7 hits, 3 hits with an 1 handed blunt vs 3 hits with an 2 handed blunt will differe with more then 20% in damage, under the same stun time.
* You will hit running targets way harder, specialy as teh atk basicly take almost as long but you still gonna need to run as much more or less, with a 2 handed blunt you hit harder per hit.

PVE weapon is meteor shower defetively a beter choise.

332k damage per second?

This isn't true DPS. You'd need to divide that number by a few things, such as 333 (which I think is the attack speed that corresponds to exactly 1 swing/second), and also divide by the target's PDEF, and then there's also a random +/- that gives damage a spread as opposed to mages which hit for fixed damage.

The numbers he's calculating are proportional to DPS, though. If one setup has a 12% higher number than another, it's 12% more DPS on the same monster. So you can't really use it to get actual DPS, but you can tell how a variety of weapon/buff setups compare in terms of DPS.

BTW this is the description of a Doom Crusher w/ Anger:

Decreases maximum HP by 15% and increases P. Atk. by 11% and damage inflicted during PvP.

11% of the Doom Crusher's P.Atk. would be +31 patk. I am not sure if they add it early in the formula or late -- my guess is it's a simple +31 patk added on to your final value, which would be like all other Anger SA always have been.

So in PleChan's case, it would go from 1216 -> 1247 (effectively a 3% damage boost).

If it actually applied early (before all masteries and buffs were taken into account) the effect would be much better (9%); the effect of blunt mastery would not be boosted so the DPS increase is less than 11%. I don't believe that's the case, though; it hasn't been the case with Anger before. I'm not going to spend a level 12 soul crystal to find out; wish I had thought to check that on PTS when the cats were still there.
I made an interesting graph how BH handles different weapons at different levels:
http://www3.shrani.si/o.php?bh1005191.jpg

If someone knows the formula how to account for accuracy, I'll gladly add it. Yes mistakes are possible, because I had to calculate every formula from the basics (like PATK, Atk.Speed,..), but I did compare at least 20 values with L2P calculations and it seems to match up to one point.

PleChan: According to my table I came to different conclusion as you have. If you made that table I would like to find out what we did different.
