Not that I complain about this ( I run to some areas and i pickup like 300-400k before i start exping ) but some are infested with drops..Ok i understand that some people wanna pick em up when they are done with their exp.. But I see many many more who just leave them there wandering.. Isnt this kinda funny,since making money the ol fashioned way(grinding) in this game is so hard..?

ya peeps complain about how hard it is to make cash yet they dont loot thier drops. though leaving for when exp done is only asking for peeps to come take the loot as its not that hard to loot what drops after the mob dies :P
Most ppl who dont pick up loot are nukers. Picking up slows down lvling since you have to run to the loot. Most of em are also on an alt, reroll or sub and have enough money, and all you find is normaly the mats/adena, rare drops are picked up.
you leave it you lose it imo. It doesn't slow down my exp that much to take the extra second or whatever to grab my loot. But thanks to all those that don't, picked up almost 2mil adena/drops the other day from someones field :)
if i'm xping or questing, i'll pick up the drops as i go, but if i'm grinding hard, i'll leave all drops till i'm done, weather that be 20mnutes or 2 hours.
i don't pick up my drops & i pk people who come by & try to take them. slows down xp way to much.; i just pick them up at the end.
My feeling is you can take your choice; either pick them up, or don't complain when others do. That said, I won't pick up drops of nukers that are still in the area.
I always ask if I see someone there around if he is going to pick em up later...
Yesterday I picked a few then saw some1 and he told me he is going to pick them when he lvls up.. I returned an hour later and there were still like 40% of the drops unpicked..

Most say that it slows down thier leveling, so they'll pick it up at the end. That kinda negates that idea since you would take the same amount of time picking up the drops after you've had enough xp, as if you had picked them up while you were xp-ing anyway.
If your in an area full of aggros, the time to pickup after your done, would be even greater, since the mobs wont disperse or leave you alone while you gingerly pick up your drops.
Hence, I never saw the point of not picking up your drops, other then you not wanting them. Its fair game to me.
Yesterday when I was wacking groups at AB, I left the drops in a big pile in the center. I just pulled the 5 spawning groups over to the center over-and-over again.
One hour later I got 17% XP(at lvl63), 575.000+ adena, 8 B-grade keymats, 2 A-grade mats, lots of common mats. It tok me 7-8 minutes just to pickup all the loot...... I guess my Gladiator is getting a little tired in his knees :)

I left about 2.5M in adena laying around from my grinding just for you. You can pick it up at your convenience.
Actually it isn't just nukers that do this! All ranged classes, and even some melee do this, WHY?! I dunno!
I am a SpS I can kill a mob pretty fast so it is quite a ways a way when it dies. I usually pick up everything every mob or three.
But anyway, I like that people do this! The pollen event was great, my adena is great, and my materials are great...because I to the ppl a favor to pick up their stuff. Sometimes they get mad and hit you, but then I just kill them! :eek:
I like this grinding better! I get to PvP and make money at the same time! Sounds good eh?
But the main reason I pick up my stuff is, I know I could die at anytime. Zarchie, War, Mob, Lag...I dunno, unnanounced server reset. I learned to pick up my stuff in C1! :D
For a mage I find not picking up my stuff doesn't increase my Exp per hour, because during that time of walking to my drop I regen a little MP which will let me kill 5 more mobs in an hour or something...and the ppl that don't pick up their stuff are out of MP, or whatever.
Sorry Drakkos.. I have read the EULA again and i noticed this little delay.. My server is Gustin . Exp spot is VOS and exp around 12am-4am usually (+2 timezone)

yeah when i hit 56 i would run around map finding mages lvling spots, even if they were there id pick it up, they go to hit you, return 2 and come right back

if I'm grinding for XP...picking up drops is the last thing I need to do.
They added the "hide items" to options to slow or stop lag from items ont the ground.
this is good and bad...cause now you can't see the herbs. how ever it could possible cut your lag which could be good.
but picking up is a royal pain in the ***!!

Bunch of BS really. Half those drops are right under the nukers feet anyway as they move around to find fresh mobs. (Mobs do have more than 1 spawn point you know...)
But that's OK. Leaving big fields of drops laying around is just an easy way to let the rest of us know you don't want it. Now all NC soft needs to do is add the effect of "Hide pickup spamming chars" To that new 'hide drops' checkbox and everyone will be happy.
...Doubtless this will be added as the 'new advantage in economy' skill for dwarves in the next expansion.
well could be that the ppl xpping there had to go to a pvp or got ganked or had to rez a clanner
i used to spend the end of my day with a 40 minuet pick up session but cant really get away with that anymore with clan wars
Welcome to powerleveling, killing stuff without taking the drops.
The whole floor is covered with adena, mats, even some gear, yet they dont pick it up even as there standing on it because they dont want "run over to it" or take the 1 second to click on the item, because it wastes valuable time.
Another thing is pking people that wander over and start taking it. Think of it this way: you see a giant field of gold coins with a sign sticking out of it saying "FREE MONEY!" Hm..what to do...
What do you expect when you leave mountains of drops everywhere without bothering to pick it up?
Youll run into the drops youv left on the ground as you move around, hit the pickup button and keep on grinding. It shouldnt take that much of your precious time to click the mouse every so often.
why some people don't pick up their drops? they are lazy. and if the are dbl boxing anyway.. get the 2nd toon to do the pickups. if you want your drops.. pick them up. if you do not pick them up - is finder's keepers. it is not like i am running around behind you just holding out my little loot bag, you know, if you leave it, and i am walking by, i will pick up what is laying on the ground unattended
I usually grind where i kill a few things close together run get my drops. Unless i just get lazy then i am like everyother nuker and just leave it every where until my adena ocd kicks in.
I only pick up my drops during war. Since I've been at war for the past year, besides 6 unconsecutive weeks, I pick up my drops a lot. However from 52-60s when cdl was the only way I'd lvl, I never picked up my drops. CDL and movement is bad. You need to stay in 1 spot and 1 shot every mob in a 360deg circle at 900 range. Everyonce in a while you can move out a little, but I wouldn't recomend it.
God I miss cdling... it was so fun... I think I'll start again.
oh... and picking up drops between mobs takes a lot of time. Take the corner at VoS. It isn't too hard to kill the spawn point to zero IF you don't pick up drops. If you pick them up, you will never kill it down. If you don't believe me, try it.
