If one of the gods reappeared back into the world and gave it's race favor in the world for a period of one Chronicle. I wonder how many people would roll that race or continue to play the unfavored race.
If you are referencing to dark elves being favored by the return of Shilen, I doubt it'll be the case.
I did my 2nd class transfer recently (SH) and on one of the 3 quests you are asked to retrieve the Revelations of [insert can't remember the name here]. That book is supposed to reveal what is going to happen to Shilen and dark elves (I think) regarding the "event" from the Chaotic Chronicles era.
You don't get any specific information...just that your character absorb it. But the npc do mention something about the fate of the dark elves, talking about it as not being that good...(can't remember the wording).
Also, if you read the lore on the chronicles, I think they all mention about something coming, affecting all races. I don't think any race will be favored by it. Dark elves might play a big role (looking at the CGs, if they mean anything that is) but they'll end up like the other races I bet.

We're banished to Atlantic City to play nickel Slots and bum free drinks, all the while wearing sun glasses that are too large for our face and wearing powder blue suits.
Shilen instilled the spirit of water into the first form that was created. This is how the race of elves was created.
The race of elves was wise and knew how to perform magic. But they were less wise than giants. Therefore, giants let the elves serve them in politics and magic-related activities.
After the race wars, there was a group known as Brown Elves who were dissatisfied with the complacency of the Elves. Possessed of a strong ambitious streak, they insisted that battle with the Humans must continue - even if it meant the use of banned black magic. However, this stance met with violent opposition from the other Elves (Tree Elves and Light Elves).
Brown Elves and the Tree Elves lived together.
Brown Elves wanted to learn anyway accepted the help of a human mage named Dasparion. In return for learning dark magic, they agreed to give the secret to immortal life. (Future Raid Boss?)
The Tree Elves banished the Brown Elves when they found out that forbidden magic was being learned, and in retaliation the Dark Elves destroyed the Tree Elves. The Tree Elves, with their last breath cursed the land and the Brown Elves creating a cursed and rotted woods and corrupting the Brown Elves into Dark Elves.
Shillen remained their God while the "Light" Elves accepted Einhasad's decision to have Eva (Shillen's younger sister) asscension to control of Water. I'm guessing that that the God thing and the genocide thing are why the Light Elves aren't to fond of the Dark Elves and vise-versa.
Why the hell aren't DE's Brown as they are in the Lore and in L1? They look like the Lastabad Dark Elves, unless this Race of DE's eventually becomes the Lastabad, and the true Brown/Dark Elves are the playable DE's in L1...
Giants could ride chariots made with their own hands and freely go in and out of the gods' palace. They could use magic to lift up an island and live in the air like gods. They could prolong their life span until it seemed like they would live forever. The giants began to think that their power was equal to that of the gods. In spite of their wisdom, they became excessively arrogant.
with the coming of chaotic throne. I think they will be giving us garcia and the arteias soon. those:
Yet even with the giants' might, they merely altered the direction of the hammer slightly, and it still grazed the cities as it descended upon the world.
That was enough to destroy the world's greatest city; countless giants and other races were instantly crushed. A large hole was left in the earth and immense waves covered its surface. In the end, almost all the giants had perished.
Those giants who managed to live fled to the east to avoid Einhasad's anger. Their route paralleled that of Shilen in her earlier flight.
FG was changed to seal of shilen in C5. the giants are in CT, and under GC.. also some that are in archane lab in schagart.
their martch east would make sence cause that would meen they would of had to travel from the west from garcia.
Garcia would have to be the world blown a part from Einhasad's anger. where the giants and arteias lived. which would make sence in that humans lived on talking island that would be half way between aden and garcia.
The Gaints moved across, the land where the water flows the the west of rune and gludin. and would make sence why gludin is destroyed, and rune is higher up on cliffs.
there is alot of interresting things in the lure thats not been added yet.
she(Einhasad) decided to borrow Gran Kain's hammer - known as the Hammer of Despair.
the Lake where Eva hide at (should be around heine).
The water dragon and where he left to go rest after the Big battle.
The elves decided to seek help from the race of the wind - the arteias. Their reconnaissance skills and aerial attacks would be sufficient aid for the elves to triumph over the orcs.
I found this in chapter 8. where the elfs got concord by the orcs and every one refused to help them.
There seems to be some interresting insight into the arteias with in some of the earlier chapters.
So I guess we'd possibly see the arteias soon and they would be a very powerfull flying race. Mostly a race of rogues and mages; I'd guess out of that passage in the lure.
if any one remembers the old load screen from C1, there was a city that floated in the air. I think this would show up at the same time that does.
I'd be interrested to see some of these places show up thats mentioned in the lure that they talk about with the giants.
And the place under where the huge battle between shilen's children (the 6 dragons) took place.

Read my post earlier. The Wood Elves cast a curse on them and corrupted them to Dark Elves.
It's possible they reversed this change before Lineage 1 but as far as I can tell, they revel in their current form...
*gurgles*
Please. Stop. Calling. It. Garcia. :p Garcia is a well known last name associated with people of Hispanic descent. Gracia is a fictional continent.

Why make a big freaking deal out of a typo!?!?!?!
for cring out load I saw someone else make fun of my spelling of it and thought I had it right, I didn't oh well.
Now that I've been rereading thru the lore I know it's worng can't edit my old post so drop it.

I read the Lore, and your post. The curse placed upon the Brown Elves corrupted their woods and it seems that that the name "Dark Elf" was an adopted name either by choice or they were labeled as such by their reputation due to their delving into the Dark Magics, or perhaps both.
In the first Lineage there are a race of Dark Elves called the Lastabad which look like the current Dark Elves we know and love, that are Evil, they arent playable - theyre mobs that even raze Gludio to the ground in a past patch.
My original question was this (reworded): Is it possible that the current pale blue DE's eventually become the Lastabad Dark Elves, and that there is hidden faction of "true" Brown Dark Elves that have broken away from the current race?
