I've pretty much found out the Kail's Magic Coin quest will probably never work out - I will never be able to get enough coin drops to get the Royal membership, let alone the rewards. What other ways are there in L2 for players to get A-grade weapons and armor?
Bounty hunters and drops. Not sure if weapon recipes drop, but I know they spoil. Armor recipes drop and spoil (some pieces drop only, some spoil only, some both). Jewelry recipes both drop and spoil.
On Lionna the A grade weapon recs are only about 4m or so for most, so you can just buy them too.
there are quests for recipes and parts to construct a-grade armor/jewelry/weapons. kail's is the only one i know of that gives a-grade weapon recipes though. giant's cave has armor recipe quests, aden quests for accessory recipes/parts, and so on. best bet is to check stratics and see what might fit what youre looking for.
To get A grade armor and weapons in this game you need one thing.....teamwork. Only way to get them without teamwork is to be a complete farmer drone working manor and earning enough adena to pay the over inflated prices in the market. I just crafted a low A grade sword last week and total adena spent by us was maybe 4 mil, thats for the gemstones that couldn't be farmed and for a few materials we were short on. Everything else was drop/spoil or manor and contributed by clan members.
You can't craft this kind of stuff without people helping you along the way.
You dont got enough coins for royal? Then you are doing something wrong, sorry.
Silver and Gold coins drop like hell, Blood have a slighly lesser dropchance, at last for me. I remember when Blood coins were about 25k-35k on the market I farmed like 150-200 coins a day in Oren.
Im not sure, but if I remeber correct you need 520 coins of each type to get from lvl3 to royal member. That shouldnt take longer then 1 week, seriously.

your kidding right?
only way is by teamwork?!
come on man.
Look playing the market is one of the best ways if not the only true way to realy make money.
I'm not saying that teamwork don't got it's place, but it most certainly isn't the only way to make money. or gear for that matter.
o/e some C weapons for values of +8 will net you some fairly decent profit. I managed to get 70m from o/e a emi to +8.
just have to be carefull and mindfull of whats hot whats not.
alot of people are doing acadamy rerolls.
if you can manage a way to get alot of D crys and sell them they go fast. I found someone selling a hoplon for 50k, the resell value of the D crys at 650a was 63,700a...right after I got the shield crushed and put up a shop with less then 5 minutes all my crys where bough. and I sold them for 680a per.
Everyone how haves TOP A grade at lvl 61 was on Ebay.
Dont thrust hin if he says " i maked Adena on RB party"
it is impossibel to get A grade on LVL 61 without Ebay.
AND NO!!
I dont was on Ebay but i know some peopel
I can't work out if your post is meant as a joke or not Dorian.
Its not impossible to have A grade at 61, but you have to either spend time playing the market, hunting for the mats/recs or simply hunting for profit not speed.
ps. Im not saying its easy, but its certainly not impossible.
wow, thats so not true it's almost funny. was it meant to be sarcasm? it is very possible to play the market and gear yourself up that way in the top ag gear without being a scammer/botter/ebayer/(insert random fotm means of garnering adena here)-er. that doesn't mean it's easy, or that you can level quickly doing so, but it is entirely possible. buying low/selling high is completely legit and a very powerful means of gaining some adena for your moth-eaten pockets. sometimes it can really pay to spend that extra five minutes looking through the myriad of private shops in giran. :)
It's not all that hard to have A grade at 61 if you are smart at making money; manor and spoils can make a lot of cash. When PleChan rerolled bounty hunter, we were making 10-20 mil per day in manor alone. Do that every day for three weeks and it adds up to a serious amount of cash. Also, as our clan had a castle for several months, we enchanted our B grade weapons with the scrolls we purchased from our clan (at well below market prices). So when we eventually sold the weapons for cash for A grade, they fetched quite a lot.
Also, A grade when we bought it was much cheaper than now -- we got a tallum helmet, boots, and gloves for 58m; they're worth 104 mil now and that's the cheapest they've been in months. It's all about supply and demand -- at that time the tallum helmet was a relatively common raid boss drop and there were many farmer clans doing bosses like crazy. Further, most of the casual players weren't able to use A grade and most of the hardcore already had it, so demand was pretty low when we bought. I think Ple was 63 when we finished his tallum armor set, though we didn't have the weapon and jewelry until later.
We did the GC quest until we got the tallum heavy recipe, and the area that drops the parchments also spoils AOBA recipes, which at the time were 10 mil apiece. We kept a few to use in our own crafting and sold the rest.
We also did some playing of the market -- when base mats hit very low prices, we stockpiled, and when they were high, we sold.
You can also craft and sell. Use the manor to get a lot of some type of material, find gear that uses that material, and craft the gear cheap. Sell the gear. We crafted an AOBA and sold it to buy a lance, when we didn't get many AOE parties, we sold the lance to craft a DE longbow, then later we sold the DE longbow to craft a Carnage bow.
I am not saying that you can't get A grade by playing the market etc. But if you want to craft it your going to need help. You can't farm all the recs and mats solo.

you think your going to get me to stop posting cause I gave 1 person some advice?
keep making fun of me. w/e
I have been and remain leget on kain. every bit of moeny I got I earned and worked for.
I'm sorry if you can't handle my point of view over a subject; that don't meen I've followed throu on that poiint of view.
I've saved every mat I got from lvl 1-59..right now I have over 1.8k bones a ton of mats..I've only ever sold some to clanies to help them with a craft.
then I found out they needed it to craft something to sell, those I wont help them no more. if they ment it for something for them to use then I'll help them, but I felt used cause I helped them make a A/g item, then they sold it. so they made money while I lost money.
you all need to back off cause my view is different.
would you persacute me for being pradistent rather then chatlic?
same **** thing, I agree with spending my own cash for game currency where you don't.
just cause I believe in it doesn't meen I do it or done it.

This is extremely true. As well as:
just have to be carefull and mindfull of whats hot whats not.
That is the crux of making money using the market. It doesn't matter if you find an item that usually goes for several million more than the price you see. If few people want it you might be sitting on it for quite some time.
consequently, certain things become scarce for a while (such as weapon enchantes) and people are always looking for them.
The trick is to know what people are buying, look for deals and maybe push the price a little. Not too much but enough where the buyer will just roll their eyes and give in.
It's really very simple. I made about 16 million this weekend by buying low priced A grade weapons (but weapons that were in demand) and selling them for 2 million MORE than the price that the market was pricing them at.
Now granted, these are A grade items. The problem with this game is that there dont' seem to be enough low lvl players to really feed the D and C grade economy (not to mention NG). But if you can find things like D weapon enchants, D crystals or even several desirable C grade weapons, etc, you can start small and eventually be able to buy more expensive items.
Other than that you can use the manor (I never had luck with it at all) Raid (one of the better ways to get items but truth be told, if you are raiding with a large alliance it might take a while for you to get "yours") Or just "penny saved is a penny earned" it and not use as many shots, ports, potions, etc.
Overenchanting is a great way to make money but not a sound way. If you fail you will lose your investment.

Yeah, I never played solo really. My friend (PleChan) and I have shared everything we earn since day 1. All our resources are pooled and allocated to where they are most needed. We just make a list of our priorities, and work our way down.
I also have 2 accounts, which I either use as Main/Buffer, Main/Shop, or Shop/Shop; I'm practically ingame 24/7, although about 21 hours of that is in shop mode as I grind about 3 hours per day. Typically I run one shop to sell some of Ple's spoils (like all the A grade recipes) and one shop to buy items cheap for our next craft project.

you could pk peeps with grade a armor till the whole set drops but theres side effects to be aware of using that method though
