i been reading up warlocks as i am thinking of making one and i see they take xp to use pets do i actually loose exp or do they take the exp away as i earn it? like if i kill a mob that would give 100 exp and the 10% pet would take 10 per kill? or if i had 100 exp on me would i end up with 90 exp?

you end up with 90 exp.

same as every other summon that uses crystals; they suck up the exp you get from a mob.

pets OTOH work much differently.

ah just to clarify they take xp away from you to summon? and then they take exp as you gain?

you over all lose XP.
the pet takes a 10% xp or more depending on the type.

Cost of using the servitor.

it's a % base.

so if you make 10k XP from a mob you lose 10% of that 10k XP if your using kai.

did you know that kai in japanesse meens "modified"...I'm a anime fanitic so I know this.

but any how. WK is one of the best cause of queen.

other wise the ES is really good cause it's a huge boost to mages, but you rarely see any mage group with a ES in it.

they take exp from EVERY kill. mind you the summon doesnt actually use any exp for its own levelling or skills. the % thats removed vanishes and is never seen from again.

ah so the summon doesnt cost xp but the xp is taken from kills?

k thanks thats what i wanted to know i hope i enjoy being a warlock when the time comes :) only lvl 8 mystic atm though hehe

you have a long road ahead of you, but it is rewarding in the end.

mind you, you won't really get use your cats until 40, when you become a warlock. until then, from 20-39, you have a 3 hour recharge time on your cats. one of the down sides ofbeing a summoner.
