Have the botters changed their way of doing things ?
Right now in Pilgrims in Devianne, right at the back, there's a group of 12 "players". The lead 2 players i have sent in many petitions about cos they were deffinately using 3rd party. They now have a clan and an ally, and are plvl'ing by taking every mob in Pilgrims, and i mean every mob, and pk'ing anyone that challenges them.
I just wonder if any other server is having the same problems, and how they are dealing with it as the GM's are a waste of our time and money on this issue.

never seen bots pk or even fight back. r u sure they re bots?

they arent bots.
reason1: they pk. reason2: they train. reason3: they plvl.
its so funny.
the last weekend, legit players got banned.
there are accusations of legit players botting, while they dont.
well maybe L2 players have an obssession bout bots.
well, maybe we should get over it. learn to live with them cause probably we wont live without them (bots i mean).
and MAYBE we should try to find ways to use them ingame.
one possible way is to seed in places that someone couldnt go solo, thats what i did when i needed some mats some time ago. put your brains to work, stop crying and whining.
obviously, nothing is gonna change dramaticaly for a long time. 2 many $$$$$ behind all these and i dont mean adenas of course.

There are many ways of configuring one's "setup" and sorry but I am calling BS on the notion that lots of Legit players have been banned.
Maybe you don't know your friends as well as you think you do, or maybe you are making excuses for your friends... or yourself.

What I do know is how I play, and how the people I associate with play. I also know none of us worry when the NCS ban-hammer comes down and we have yet to look around and say "Gee, where did so-and-so go?"
As for aggressive OverCaffeinated Resoure Gathering Individuals? Yeah I've seen it.

I agree. There is no way to "really" know the people you play with. I remember one woman ingame who casually slipped that she bought a little adena each week just to make things easier.
When I brought up the idea that it was frowned upon she was shocked and didn't (or so she claimed) realize it was wrong. Point being, I would have never known that she bought currency unless she told me.
It's sort of funny the little "tid bits" that eventually seep out.
