i just cant seem to get a handle of the herb drop rules
they are meant to be for soloing (or in solo areas) yet they drop from 2x hp mobs but dont drop in mith mines or blazing swamp
Greetings,

Well, in my experience with da erb, I remark that some types of mobs drop much more herbs than others.

I think it's a question of hitting them up and checking if that class like da erbs...

Kinda like : Yo yo, mob, you got some [923] ?

Fix colors on herbs, and listen to me on the radio (http://www.lineageradio.com) ...

Yesterday my student was studying in EG, and after killing first 4 bats, she got 4 herbs of magic. Random, isn't it? Not that they were of some use for dwarf anyway ...
I was able to acquire herbs from almost all mobs that I encountered in Ant's Nest, from magic to strength.
I forgot what I was going to say...
Ok i'll do my best on explaining my theory, not sure how well it will be, lol.

Well some 2x mobs are actually considered solo-able and are put in areas that are usually meant for soloing so i guess they drop herbs because of that, Monster Eye's outside dion for example do.. Leto warriors and overlords do, they are all 2x mobs.. but at a soloable location.. i havent been to Blazing Swamp so i dont know what that area is classed for solo or grouping, Mith mines is the hardest of the 3 mines Strip/abandonded Coal/ Mithril mine, i dont know how the others are considered but i dont think Mith mine is considered soloplace.. that could have it make sense? I think its all about what the area itself is considered to be, not the mobs in the area.. I'm not completely sure so dont quote me on it but it would make more sense this way, no?
The new patch that is coming has changed drop rates and locations of da erbs. Blazing Swamp is on the list of places that will drop them.

my point exactly
mith mines is prolly the best solo (nuker only) spot in game period, its the sorta place most 70+ ppl would kill to have doesnt drop herbs

ants nest is pretty **** far from soloable (except for the first few rooms) drops herbs

blazing swamp is one of very few 70+ solo areas it doesnt drop herbs

i beleave hotsprings drops herbs, i soloed it but its not exactlly a solo area
Herbs drop from what are classified as field mobs.

Hence they do not drop in TOI/DVC/Cata necro.
They should drop in Blazing Swamp and there is a fix for this comming.

Not sure why they would be dropping inside the ant nest but for some reason this could still be considered a field area.. hence the herb drops.
I reaaaally wish erbs' dropped in skyshadow meadow and ancient battlegrounds...

These are my favorite solo areas...

actually word on blazing swamp is that it isnt classed as a field
thats why the xp is so bad there since there is no field bonus applied
