The fix for the community server is part of the content currently in testing on the Public Test Server. Once that goes live, we expect the community server to return to service.

So here's my guess......
I believe that this is all tied into the new skill "Summon Friend". In order for this skill to work, and to keep it from being exploited, this skill will be tied into your friends list. The friends list resides on the community server. I'm sure that there will be other changes as well, we know that the party matching system is getting an upgrade. In fact, I would not be surprised to find that the upgrade on the party matching system is also tied into "Summon Friend".
My guess is they're redoing the clan listings and maybe the interface. Hopefully we can see clan rankings through the new interface (if there's one).
All i know is i hope they redo that light gray header background with light blue text. Who ever came up with that, needs a good swift kick in the butt.

I am hoping that they enhance the clan message board. Maybe make it so only clan members can see the posts on their clan's board. Even have it bridge to the web so one can check messages when out of game or browse the official boards in-game.

Changing the colors scheme would be great!
What I will look forward to the most is being able to send in-game mail again :(.
i would say the party summoning is actually a new skill, says so right in the patch notes.
the community server fix (they had said earlier) was due to exploits IIRC. with what i couldnt tell you, but summoning friends and party is a skill. that much i know for sure.

How did I do Mistryl?
The only reason for it to have been down as long as it has is that they found a possible exploit and are waiting for a patch to fix it from korea. Any other server problem would of been fixed within a few days.

lol like the way they borked the clan hall buff system.. I guess by your logic they found an exploit with that as well since they havnt fixed it yet.
Is it working in Korea Mistryl? and is there any wild guess on how long until it will be back? This is a really needed feature the Community server and from your recent announcement post it sounds pretty grim :(
Olorae would have corrupted the character database with excess EXP already - but not for writing mails, but for roleplaying, if such a thing were possible. :p

If such a thing ever happened, he'd become like Neo in the Matrix -- his roleplaying would bend the fabric of reality on the server itself. He could roleplay taming Antharas and before you know it Antharas would be his personal wyvern.
