What new feature would you like to see in the future of Lineage II: The Chaotic Throne? (If you choose Other, please discuss your suggestion in this thread.)
I'd like to see a new race but I chose other because I would like a counter feature for my shop (mentioned in a post by myself several weeks ago). However I'm not sure if you'd class that as a feature, if not re-submit my vote under race :)
Large Territory Wars. More PvP area's that can be owned by clans (and there perspective alliance) that give some kind of bonus's while XPing in an area, or maybe increase stats. Making PvP mean something by adding reputation points into the mix (although its paultry) was a good start, but theres got to be bigger and better reasons for it.
I would like to see a new race but I hope it's not one where you need main and all subclasses level 80 before you can morph into it through another crazy quest. So I guess I'll vote new land for now. Maybe.

Territory war (large scale) all the way. I always thought that was the point of Lineage II and why there are two (and hopefully a third) nations. Owning a castle should be more than just collecting taxes and having a blacksmith!
I think a new race should be added. Then turn all dwarves into it SO WE DON"T HAVE TO BE ONE ANYMORE! Maybe we'd serve a purpose then and NC might actually listen to us.

Voted: OTHER
I'd like to see:
1)Complete removal of the 'RPS' balance systems.
2)Removal of the 'Solo' Olympiad as it is now.
3)Rebalance of the 'new' skills and changes to old.
[It's a GROUP pvp game so trying to rebalance it for SOLO pvp was a bad decision.]
4)Removal of 'instant herb' and instead a rebalance of Armor masteries, Regen Rates, Potion costs/Heal amounts and Mob Stats/Skills so Field mobs are soloable easier/cheaper self buffed instead. (AKA Remove the bandaid and fix the design instead.)
5)Remove pets from mobs Aggro lists. AND/OR GREATLY increase their Pdef and Mdef so that a mob's sneeze isn't all that's needed to kill them.
6)Reworking of Spoil tables so more base materials are gained via spoil and various Key materials are spoilable/easier to spoil. (More mobs/better odds and amounts.) - Replacement of redundant spoils. EG - Recipe Oriharukan Ore/Elven Jewelry/Black Ore Jewelry parts.
7)Reworking of the 7 Sign Systems. It's completely broken as is.
8)Increase in Quest rewards (All) and Quest Item conversion rates. (AKA Giant's Cave/TOI)
9)Increase in Fish conversion rates.
10)STOP RENAMING PLACES AND THINGS IN GAME!
11)Increase the size of the Clan Warehouse.
12)Add Clan Hall type benefits to Castle Ownership for ALL Alliance members, not just the clan with the Lord.
13)If you have a clan hall you are barred from Signing up to Siege a castle. (Not from defending.)
14)Add Penalties to characters on a siege field who are not signed up for either side. (Prevent alt clan ownership and multi-castle domination by one clan/ally)
15)Rework the festivals so Melee has more influence and mage/archer doesn't dominate so much. AKA Remove the pedastals (melee cant hit what is on top of them) and speed up the melee attackers. (They move like they have a L6 slow cast on them.)
16)Remove/Rework the Polearm limits on mobs that can be hit. 20 is too low for chars with masteries.
17)Remove the (Additional) Pole/Bow penalties for 'mystics'.
18)Remove/Reduce the number/effect of 'stun' mobs in group/.5 HP mobs.
19)Allow L11 and L12 Crystals to me leveled on NORMAL mobs. (They go up to L81 now you know...) OR Allow them to be leveled on ALL 'Normal' Raid Bosses of L61 and up.
20) REMOVE/RELOCATE/REDUCE Mobs which 'summon' reinforcements OFF the 'field' areas. (AKA Timak Orc Troop Leaders, Ragna Orc Series.)
21) Add a way for excess Manor Crops to be removed from the game (Manor buybacks far too low) without dumping crops onto a NPC for a pittance of adena.
What about game client changes that lock out bots? After they are gone, we are done with GameGuard too.
I don't hope this sounds to harsh. What I wanted to say is that I like playing Lineage 2 but I think there are still optimizations possible other than adding large content.
Territory wars, the larger scale the better (and "large scale" means "give the lower levels a meaningful role in it, too" as I understand it - large in the amount of the player population that can participate)! Give us (more of) a reason to fight for.
I chose "Other". I want to see Dwarfs with mystic abilities. Instead of "Fire" and "Water" related spells, dwarves can have "Earth" spells. Throwing rocks then boulders as the skills increase. "Avalanche" and "Earthquake" for AOE spells.
Mechanical "blades" that spin on the ground (Ultima Online i.e. bladespirits). Once release they would target mobs and/or RED players automatically.
***
Last...make the dwarves have a COMBINED skill...such as 3 or more DWARVES to summon a GOLEM that would be immense. A Siege catapult comes to mind...this large siege engine can be used to run up and then across to the topmost part of the castle walls. The dwarves would have to be in party to summon it. Also, they would all have to have the skills. You could separate the various parts to "control" to the party members. I.E. control movement, control ramp, lower ramp, raise ramp. One dwarf would not have to control all the features.
ALSO, dwarves that are in party would be able to ride this siege engine towards the castle wall.
VOTed for territory war,i have been waiting for this since liineage2 was made. But also a new race sounds very tempting. All would reroll and the world of l2 would be full of one race -no good. Still. It the owlr do gracia would be intorduced and the new race would be there,so u can not get easily to aden or elmore before high level and lots of adena . like from Gudin to stuttgart -
<<<<3 large scale territory war ---- lineage2 deserves it since it was made for things like that,who needs more races now. We got our hands full with the current ones allready.
I voted for a new race. I think Lineage 2 needs a "monstrous" race to counteract all of the pretty. But not monstrous like "Bugbear" monstrous, something proud and noble like... oh, I don't know, Lizardmen? Koff.
Though I really want territorial wars as well. To give PVP meaning and purpose beyond the "omg gank" mentality.
Where's the "all of the above" option? :)

This is exactly what I thought, a nice demonic race or something. Sadly, it's probably the angelic race...
Just remember, if they introduce a new race, all of the older races will have to get something special so they don't feel left out. :D
-----------------------------
Just a thought- seperate Elmore and Aden versions of characters- same skills and job trees, but a whole new set of skin tones, hair styles, and faces. The same but different. And when Gracia is open, yet another set of character customization options. :D
I would love to see a new race but unfortunately, I just don't think it would benefit those of us already playing. I certainly have no intentions of rerolling and I doubt many others would either. And there would be problems associated with "morphing" into the new race - aka class restrictions. Would the new race have the ability to be all classes from the start? Would it have its own race specific classes?
So anyway, due to my disbelief that NCsoft would make this race truly be an option to those of us who already play L2, I chose new lands. And I agree with nameless - more solo ares, specifically, more high level solo areas. As it is now we have very limited choices after level 72.

exactly what im saying
while a new race might work well in mmorgs like WOW or D&D in L2 the grind makes it almost impossible for anyone other than a reroll or a subclass to play the thing
on the other hand at 70+ theres like 3 places in the whole game you can solo (only 1 of them good)
and the party areas are more a case of killing 5x hp mobs for double the xp

read some of the suggestions forums bud we all talk about a new dwarven race, you should check it out.
One thing is for the return of the sky wagon
but the suggestions of helping out the dwarves starts with increasing the battlefield. check out the suggestions so you know what us forum peeps mean by that.
I feel increasing the seige field is the most important suggestion that can possibly made.
If i had gone with a new race, I made a post on a new dwarven race that would include alchemists as a profession change, even been trying to paint what they would look like
but i dont know what i could use to model the race.
Everyone wants to see gracia would have been my third suggestion
and if i could change my answer to other?
I have an entire post on the improvement of castle ownership i want peeps to take a look at.
it includes adding:
royalty garb
In castle activities
Summon parades
Summon court Jester
castle owning clan mounts (comes in variouse types)
much more
Based on the latest opinion of people on kain server, clan mates want perks just as us clanlords get. I think they deserve more things to do in a castle. check out the suggestion before i blahblahblah anymore

Okay, now we're talking. That would be awesome. Even cooler, Golems that could merge to form a behemulated and humongofied super Golem, a la Devastator or Bruticus.
Eh, okay. So that really isn't in the spirit of Lineage 2. But I do agree that Dwarven "technology" is something that should be further explored. (the Ginzu Golems at the Archaic Lab are pretty impressive)
I also like the royalty garb idea. Or any kind of "civilian" clothing for that matter, much like the weddding attire.
(originally typed this and it was really long with plenty of renfence links and whatever, but i clicked soemthing and lost it before i finished, so this is the second-draft, half-bss version)
i voted for new race, but there are some "others" that have been suggested in the suggestions forum. as for a new race, a lot of things have been suggested, ol mahums, goblins, dwarves, lizardmen, and arteias.
arteias (http://boards.lineage2.com/showflat.php?Cat=0&Board=suggestions&Number=593010 )
Before new race or land or territory wars i'd love to see:
1- all cheaters banned (I.E : add new features to help reporting bots AND ebayers).
2- Dwarf race upgraded with GOOD pvp/pve skills (lots of good ideas in this forum....)
3- server transfer
I vote for " Territory war (large scale) "
I understand this like large place on map ( not little arenas or flat colliseum ) that is with PvP area status.To can make good pvp's with tactics.I think everybody know what mean " Battlegrounds" from Word of Wordcraft...... so i can't understand why you vote for NEW RACE atm )!(&@$()*@#&$ ????????
New race will be good maybe later when Gracia appear.I think now we need some place like talking island that is PvP area it will be awesome with some kind of registration and clan rep points or whatever bonus to stimulate PvPs

I would like to see improvements in the exp rate as in other games. If a player is not as an active player as the wall lickers that infest the servers they should have the option to gain double the exp if they don't log in lets say in one day or more.
Once the player logs to exp the rate will start decreasing according to the time the player spends in-game and will go back to normal exp after lets say 8 hours.

Mystril I am not sure if it is acceptable for me to post the link below but SirElhorir needs a better detailed explanation of what I mean in my suggestion and this is a whole of a lot easier than me typing the whole thing
i think automatic loot pick-up would be nice, its a nightmare and waste of time to pick up everything. this could be made a toggle setting or something so ppl that do not want to pick everything up can deactivate it. :p
also the adena drop rate and XP per mob seriously needs to be evaluated, i can find single hp mobs that are green to me or even light blue that give more XP then the mobs that are white to me even tho the white mobs have more HP. somehow that doesnt sound right to me.
Territory Wars are great and all, look at DAoC, they were great fun, but i feel this game just doesnt have enough high level player base for something on a large scale.
On a medium scale, maybe, but large scale, no.
I chose new race because it might give people the incentive to roll a new player and start all over again, do the quests they havent had a chance to do because there always grinding for days and months to get that next level at 70+.
Its also a good thing for newer players who just start the game and get to meet people instead of running around TI or Dwarf territory and not seeing a single solitary person, unless its the unmentionables of course.
We wouldn't be polling officially if it wasn't going to be considered.
No name changes. :mad:
O.K. Elrohir :p
I was against it on the forums as well but hey, why not take advantage? What can I scam someone out of here? Besides, I have 2 other forum accounts for that. :p
I made a post about adding on more benafits to owning a castle, one of these suggestions had been that clan mates can
summon certain courtiers.
The court Jester being one of them.
It would be like a servitor of the land...have the ability to debuff enemy oponents with a 10% backfire rate.
as well as have its own jester like macros (juggle,insult,etc.)
check out the post i made on ideas to improve castle ownership, it explains it alot more
I vote for :
X New race (Arteias)
X New land (Gracia)
X Territory war (between the new land and the old ones !)
X Other : a better economy system (yea i know i'm dreaming :p), so, ok, at least, better-organized private shops zones (put the **** shops in the countless empty town buildings or something), or improved searchprivatestore, or, i dont know, anything to improve this bot-controlled economy !
on mtv2 online it has a game mod of evanscence bring me back to life i beleive.
well she was a faery, like a bad *** looking one. check it out for ideas.
so if vote ends korea new race,they get new race and if the vote ends by us with continent wars,we get continent wars as first and then new race and the koreans get continent wars later on :???

Not neccessarily. There are many other factors involved with any decisions regarding new features or other workload, what we are doing is gauging interest and wants of the various communities. As well, all feedback will be considered collectively.

Improve Castle ownership
Add things people can do in the castle
Give the king of the land options to make events in the land
add the seige equipment advertised through splash pages on the sign in screen and the ones pixelated in variouse towns (ballisters ,catapults, and seige towers)
screw it i'll just post my post here.
This suggestion came from adding new seige equipment
Thisw would fit into the idea of having a more larger scale pvp environment during seige
Ballista= use it for defense, as something the clanlord can buy
Warhounds=level them wolves, suggestion is to give them self buffs
catapults= they have pixalated graphics of some in oren, why hasnt this been implemented yet?
Boiling oil= agreed
Seige tower= agreed
Fire in the moat = agreed
Summon Great Beast = should be in castle quest driven
War elephants= requires full party to summons (orc tyrant seige summon)
or
Seige Ogre= orc destroyer summon
those are some
I would like to also see the seige playing field increased.
this would add a lot more pvp oppurtunity if it actually occupied the entire territory during seige.As well as give seige times more of a feel. "dont go outside tonight....the enemy is out the gate"
also the ability to add camps anywhere would offer a better gameplay experiance if such an increase occured.
This idea is from my post on improving castle ownership
which would fit into the "other" category
here are XXX types of players. They all have wants and needs. But not when it comes to seiging. Here are some suggestions that may help taking a castle worthwhile to some.
1. Royalty Garb
Ever see people in a wedding dress? Why on earth
was this ever introduced before the ceremonial
red robe of the king or queen?
I know, add bonuses...but seriously if you could just
have the option? Wouldn't you WANT to look like
royalty if it was offered?
Some say no....I say hell yah!
2.Special Events In Castle
Quests
(all offer xp or specialized drops)
a. Kill the Theif!
something has been stolen from the clan warehouse,
a mob runs around the castle with it (clan lord gets to
pick the item) get him before he escapes! (lasts for X amount of time before he escapes, drops brez's,bsoes,swift attack pots, adena,and offers xp)
b. Attack of the Dragon
Not anthras...but something big enough to scare your mates..
kill it as it seiges the castle before its too late!
(lasts for xx amount of time before it despawns)
C. The Dark Horde
massess of mobs flow over the walls killing everyone in sight. (lasts xx amount of time, clan lord pics the level of mobs that come)
D. Dual with the Black Knight
A mirror image of yourself stands centered in the thrown room.....who will prevail? (instanced fight)
3.Special Events requests from the King
A. In honorable mention, the king anounces an event
to be held in his land. be it pumpkin bashing,
collecting preciouse medals, or just pure pvp,
he decides his lands fate at an npc in the castle.
4. Specialty clan mounts !!
a. The horns blow, as seige elephants stride thru town with a full party on there back...fireworks shoot off as the clanmates wave and cheer...or trample there townfolk
b. whose behind the vail of this four man slave carriage?
why a clanmate of course!
c. Nothing says im the favorite officer then a unicorn driven chariot....man its fast! (Comes in variety bear, Bison, unicorn, cougar)
Options are picked at a npc within the castle
5.Royalties shops (in castle)
A. Unique Items : royal garb, fireworks, armor enchants and the like sold here!
B. These colors dont run : dye shop to add your clan color to your armor, any grade
6.Specialized Servitors:
a. Court Jestor:
Wanna annoy an enemy?
Why summon the court jestor! he debuffs!
when in the clan castle and summoned he juggles,
eats flames and other jestor like emotes.
Ability to add adlibbed comments (think a jestor could shout "!wtb smelly dirty A-ss!"
B. Hand maidens : No princess or queen should be without one, comes with the option of race type. Combs Hair, Giggles, Spreads Rumors, Cries when you die.....
God the orc one is annoying!
C. bards: harpests, violinists, and drummers, all summoned make a helluva midevil rock band! (in castle summons only)
7. Town Reckognition of Royalty
Doesn't anyone know when there conquered?
Well now they will.
a. Anouncing The King/Queen and the Royal Court:
When an Alliance member enters town trumpets blow,
in one of xx many different variations picked by the clan lord. Going furthur depending of the rank of the clan mates, the more gloriouse the score.
b. NPC's bow before there masters, bout **** time.
c. Summon Parade: Fireworks, Confetti, Mounts, Music (of 9 different variations, including the funeral march) and of course The Greatest Clanmates of all times! YOURS!
8.Furniture
Ok ok i know the saying, in a castle there is only one place to sit....but cmon...
1. Spawn a dining hall at certain times where people can sit...
2. A strategy table where alliances can have meetings.
3. A chess table where it macros a chess game....o.O add a virtual chessgame in the castle....**** good idea
------------------
These suggestions are what i felt would offer a need for Roleplay, XP , percs to owning a castle, and events player driven by castle owners to make the experience more enjoyable. I hope they are considered for review, by developers and players alike.
Also to clarify, yes the idea is to be perceived that if players dont want to grind outside of there castle...they dont have to.
Perc of owning one is specialized fun!
Territory war where if you own a castle in aden you can automatically pvp anyone owning a castle in elmore. No declarations needed. The effects would be similar to being in a two way war.
If there where a new race.... i had wanted to see a new race of dwarves....
summin it up heres from the post i replied to
Re: Create a Dwarf Class... [Re: MasterZen]
Ive never played WoW but i saw the cgi movie and loved the idea of the dwarf using a rifle as ranged. and thats what the elmore races need a ranged class.
The cookie cutter look is there, make em look like the new graverobber mobs. add them a special weopon type, like orcs get fists, get dwarves rifles as a bow, where they get weopons like stun shot, triple shot and aoe effects.
Like the elves most races have sub races and id like to see that. The ones out now could simply be renamed as mountain dwarves. the ranged race could be considered hill dwarves and be given a small space next to the dwarven village similiar to the set-up the elves have.
Back Story: A small group Of Dwarves left the land seeking fortune and knowledge of engineering from across the sea and other plains. coming home, they group found that there new found knowledge was far greater then there brotheren could comprehend, so they moved away from the dwarf village to further continue there studies.
Classess:
Before 20:
Fighter:
Skills:
mostly the same but adding the rifle masteries and a power shot
Stone Might: adds a % bonus when using a blunt
Mage:new class! with there new found knowledge this race of dwarf mastered psionic abilities
(taken from dungeons and dragons class of evil dwarves)
Grey Dwarf: these dwarves are always bald and wear dull clothing and accoutrements. They can magically enhance their size and turn invisible. they also mastered psionic abilities. maybe you guys can think of somethingthat would add skill to them?)
After 20:
Pioneer:
During there explorations this class was formed for variouse survivability reasons in the harsh wilderness.
Skills:
Typical Spoils that dwarves get
Typical weight skills dwarves get
Sniper: Long range attack shot from rifle
Breach Shot: Short ranged aoe shot
Rapid Fire: fires two volleys from rifle
Bandage
Cure poison
Axe Raider:
The need had grown with the group to have workers. during times of turmoil these dwarves became deadly with there lumber chopping axes
possibly be able to have dual axes?
and an axe throw?
Crush:ability to crush items
Frost Dwarves:
During journying to variouse lands these dwarves had a history of being slaves to Giants of an icy realm
Invisibility: char turns invisible anything targeting him/her loses target
Intangability:charecter turns opaque and cannot receive or do any damage for 1 minute
Growth: increases size, increases strength, p defense, magic defense
After 40:
Pioneer/Ballister: Becomes an expert shot with a rifle
Tracking: ability like a wolf totem skill increases speed movement
Added rifle masteries
Cure root: debuffs root spell
Wake:debuffs sleep spell
Rapid Fire: Increases rifle shot speed
Summon Wild Bear:
Summons a servitor bear with massive hp and physical attack
Axe Raider/Dwarven Knight: Furthering there abilities the axe raider became the standered Knight of the new race
BattleCrush: lands a massive blow when armed with blunt
Dual axe mastery:ability to use dual blunts
Axe throw: ranged attack
Pale Ale: increase attack,lowers acuccuracy
Berserker:Increase attack speed, and attack strength,uses health instead of mana
Stone Heart: like ultimate defense
Frost Dwarf/Duergar: After further studying there mental abilities this class of dwarves discover the power of the mind
Abilities:
psychic Stun: quick launching stun ability
erase
psychic burst: launches a wave of energy at a target
Mental Block: resistance to sleep for a minute.
Frost dwarf/Alchemist: having built there mental abilities this profession seeks fortune in another way.....
Alchemy: ability to turn basic mats into adena
Greater Alchemy: ability to turn items into adena
Chemistry: ability to learn to craft soulshots spiritshots blessed spiritshots.
Also Im adding just for you guys a list of subclassess that are already involved in other rpgs as well as rpg legend and lore.....
dungeons and dragons and tolkien mostly.
heres the list:
Aleithian Dwarves: Deep-dwelling psionic dwarves who follow the dragon god Sardior.
Badlands Dwarves: Have adapted to life in the inhospitable wastes, developing a natural knack for finding water and tolerance to heat and thirst.
Deep Dwarf: Underground-dwelling dwarves with a greater ability to see in the dark, but a sensitivity to light. They are more resistant to magic and poison than standard dwarves.
Dream Dwarves: Contemplative dwarves in touch with the world around them, which they call the earth dream.
Duergar: Also known as gray dwarves, these evil dwarves are always bald and wear dull clothing and accoutrements. They can magically enhance their size and turn invisible.
Frost Dwarves: Extraplanar dwarves found on the Ice Wastes of the Infinite Layers of the Abyss. They were once duergar enslaved by frost giants.
Glacier Dwarves: Dwarves that reside in cold glaciers, mining a special material known as blue ice. These dwarves have great skill at crafting with ice and magical ice, and are tolerant to cold weather.
Hill Dwarves: The standard dwarven race.
Mountain Dwarves: They live deeper underground and have fairer skin than hill dwarves.
Seacliff Dwarves: These dwarves make their home in high seaside cliffs. They are excellent swimmers
Forgotten Realm Dwarves:
Arctic Dwarves: Found in the northernmost reaches of Faerûn, the Inugaakalikurit, or artic dwarves, are even smaller than most other dwarves. They are very strong and immune to cold.
Gold Dwarves: Shorter and more charismatic than their shield dwarf cousins, these are the dominant dwarves in southern Faerûn.
Shield Dwarves: The dominant dwarves in the northern parts of Faerûn, they are taller than their gold dwarf brethren.
Urdunnir: Also known as orecutter dwarves, these dwarves have the magical ability to shape metal and stone, as well as the ability to walk through solid stone.
Wild Dwarves: Short, primitive dwarves found in the deep jungles of Faerûn.
Dragon Lance:
Gully dwarves, or Aghar as their race was known, are not dwarves in the strictest sense (they are, in reality, thought to be the offspring of a gnome and a dwarf). Gully dwarves are first referred to in the Dragonlance Chronicles, by Margaret Weis and Tracy Hickman, as a "miserable lot". They are the lowest caste in dwarven society, found all over Krynn, living in filth and squalor in places that had been abandoned by most other living creatures, including animals. Like dwarves they are clannish, and several clans live together, following the rule of their chieftains or one particular powerful leader. Females lack whiskers on their chins but had them on their cheeks, and may wear tattered overskirts wrapped around their waists extending to their knees. Despite their wretched appearance, gully dwarves generally lead a cheerful existence, though they are incredibly unintelligent creatures. Only a few gully dwarves can conceive of any number higher than 'two' (anything above that is 'no more than two' of any given thing), and at least one of that lucky few still licks spilled beer from the tavern floor rather than 'wasting it' by mopping up properly.
Warhammer:
Slayers
A notable aspect to Dwarf culture is the Slayer Oath. A Dwarf who has suffered a great shame, loss, or humiliation will dye his hair and beard orange, and cut it into a mohawk. Before taking up his axe, they will get a blue tatoo on his face and over certain parts of his body. He will then go out into the world, seeking out an honourable death in combat, and in doing so undo his dishonor
Chaos Dwarfs
One branch of the Warhammer Dwarf family tree is unique to the Warhammer universe. In ancient times, some Dwarfs moved far to the east,(they become dark dwarves)Where Warhammer Dwarfs shun most magic (save for Runic magic, which is unique to their race) Chaos Dwarfs have embraced it; where Dwarfs worship their Ancestor Gods, Chaos Dwarfs have turned to the worship of the evil Hashut, Father of Darkness. Where Dwarfs abhor slavery and "greenskin" races (Goblins, Orcs and the like), Chaos Dwarfs hold masses of slaves and are allied with or are overlords of many greenskin tribes, most of them Hobgoblins.
thats the jist of most races dwarven theres more but i help that opens the door to suggestions!
thats as absolutly as far as i could take it
the castle suggestion
and the dwarf suggestion
Territory wars imho. New race may be something fancy, but lets keep it real, there will be plenty of balancing issues about that not to mention rerolls etc etc. Lets add some more pvp flavour by adding clan/alliance contested areas.
Other. With new race story can repeat ie - first NCsoft left u to lvl up then start slow agony of nerfing in name of balance.
So maybe new land.
Id like something like new shop or auction where u can put items for sale and left them for week or two with set price or with bidout price - so no need to sid in town afk.
More **** clothes (armor)
Make pets usefull.
Restore nerfed skills.
Make low lvl spels work up to lvl cap.
on mtv2 online it has a game mod of evanscence bring me back to life i beleive.
well she was a faery, like a bad *** looking one. check it out for ideas.
That was nvidia's video mod. The characters' names were Dawn and Dusk, oddly enough. :p
so if vote ends korea new race,they get new race and if the vote ends by us with continent wars,we get continent wars as first and then new race and the koreans get continent wars later on :???
Not neccessarily. There are many other factors involved with any decisions regarding new features or other workload, what we are doing is gauging interest and wants of the various communities. As well, all feedback will be considered collectively.
In reguards to workload, im wondering how much more gamespace can you guys / gals at NCsoft fill before having to remove more newbie level mobs in newbie towns.
Your already planning to remove all raid boss mobs from newbie town areas. Not sure if many people have noticed, but the amount of mobs in newbie town areas is thinning with every expasion, how much more can you add before there all gone or very few.
The changes I would like to see most in the Chaotic Throne are:
<ul type="square"> New race - especially if it is the Arteias ^^
Level 79 and 80 skills.
New Level 76+ solo areas.
Adjusted experience loss penalties for dying at the highest levels (on level 79 you lose almost twenty times more experience than on level 70 when you die, as it is now).
Any benefit for getting more than one subclass to level 75. Also any benefit for getting a subclass higher than level 75.
Lowered crafting value prices for A and S grade soulshots.
Removal of some restrictions in choosing a subclass: Elves may choose Dark Elven classes as subclasses and vice versa (keeping the limit that you cannot subclass a similar class. e.g. a Silver Ranger may still not subclass Phantom Ranger). All classes (except the classes themselves) may subclass Warsmith and Overlord.These are just some suggestions of changes I would like to see, personally.
new race is worthless, Only thing it will add is a bunch of people rerolling. Now this land war thing is what this game needs!
I'm in a quite happy mood, so let's try this :
"this land war thing is worthless, Only thing it will add is a bunch of people PvPing. Now a new race is what this game needs!"
See, it also works the other way around when you have absolutely no argument at all :p
We wouldn't be polling officially if it wasn't going to be considered.
why not start with what is wrong now and what WE, the NA market wants to see. Maybe if you do this, we might believe you that you are considering doing stuff that the NA market wants to see in the future.
NCsoft considered not using gameguard, they made a poll about it. Wasnt is like 90% said no. Even HGMspam said it wasnt going to happen. I guess Korea said otherwise.
You just copied the Korean poll, you are going to copy the Korean content.
Look at the latest patch that is coming out. Maybe NCsoft missed 100+ posts on it, but there is a lot of negative feedback. Could you maybe consider making changes to this patch for NA? A lot of the changes are not favoured by the NA market and playstyle, why put it in?
I think a lot of the players would like to see stuff changed now, even if it is small stuff to give us hope that we might get something different, or made for us.

/signed (and I'll repeat until we get a reply on this very good point)
i would have voted other, but mass territory wars sounds fun
ive noticed a little thing about tanks that should be changed:
hate and hate aura dont do jack because you can simply retarget, very easy for people who spam click instead of spam hotkeys
id like to see some of the "siege weapons" that were mentioned long, long ago. something like catapults, ballistas, and siege towers would be fun.
Translation to English, please?
WoW system. its based on players who dont have enough time like people who bot, they get double xp if they dont grind in a day, and they get that double xp for a day. basically, its identical xp to people who grind 24/7, but they only grind half as much, half as often. makes it so people who dont have a life and play for 16 hours a day and/or bot dont get ahead of everyone
I've brought this poll to the attention of people at L2guru as well.
Their seems to be a general feeling of people not trusting NCsoft when they say "your opinions ARE heard". Also because of past polls such as GameGuard people's trust in NC when it comes to polls has took a hit :<
I've been reading the official forums from time to time however and seeing how *some* suggestions from NA actually DID make it into the game, I'm keeping a positive view ;)
I do hope NC NA can take our votes with serious consideration and 1) truly show the Korean market our toughts and 2) let the NA market know that we're really beeing heard. This poll and the past services poll will definitely show it.
About this topic: personally I think the new race idea is really great and sounds like alot of fun. The races discussed in L2's lore are very interesting. However, when looking at for example the higher end of the game and taking player suggestions into consideration I must say a system that brings Territorial wars with mass pvp would have a far greater impact on daily activity and make alot of players experience the excitement they found early in the game when alot of servers had their very own "territorial wars" going on.
It would be nice to know exactly what KR and NA devs understand with "territorial wars", but my suggestion as far as this system goes:
I was thinking.. it would be very good if they made it so for example you have a hunting ground with certain "control points" on them, and once you control those points for a certain ammount of time --you can define control in alot of ways. most fair and *cough* NCsoftish *cough* way would be trough quests, or they might as well do it trough pvp altho that would require a very well designed system-- then you gain control over that area which comes with benefits and pros depending on what level area you conquer.
This would bring a highly competitive and active event into the game and imo it's just completely awsome to fight for territory like this and eventually become King of Aden itself.
I would like to see improvements in the exp rate as in other games. If a player is not as an active player as the wall lickers that infest the servers they should have the option to gain double the exp if they don't log in lets say in one day or more.

hmm, just thought up a new idea for "territory wars"
put an NPC at ALL of the major dungeons ie AL, GC, TOI, and have a pvp event once a week for "control" of the "zone" make that event last, oh, 2 hours? maybe just 1? maybe longer? so that the controlling alliance gets maybe higher xp, higher drops, special drops, or some other little bonus (not exclusive leveling, that would rip the PvE aspects to shreds)
my other 2 cents ^_^
edit: and i have a feeling this sounds almost identical to one of the posts before this one, sry if im "stealing your idea"
Why cant we add cloaks, we have the slot for cloaks, and cloaks are amazing. If anyone has played lineage 1, where lineage 2 derived from, cloaks were very cool. Added a great element to the game, such as COI cloak of invisbility, When you put this cloak on you became invisible, this was a very expensive cloak to mention. However there were spells "detect" which would make this person reappear. You could not attack while invisible, but made stealth attacks much more interesting, great for a PvP game. Other cloaks are good as well, ones for mr resistance, perhaps a clan (party) leader cloak when worn increases xp for party or gain clan rep points when hunting normally with it. Could make a haste cloak to increase walking speed. I'm sure they could come up with lots of cloak ideas, I think they should focus on neat things they can do rather than armor bonus and such. Please post more ideas on cloaks if you come up with any.
And most important they need to add the graphic for the cloak, would look so cool.

they took away that option a long time ago. get over it.
Chess is a good idea, get some chess tables setup somewhere!! You can challenge ppl to a good game of chess ^_^
Another good game would be Go.
I think this game has be designed more for the Korean population from the beginning, it's PvP features are actually there not for the sake of PvP but for the PvE players to feel there are in control. Castles? Clan halls? Do they really boost people's pvp abilities? not really... it's all points towards PvE in the end. The new clan skills are pretty decent, but to do so you have to *shock* do more PvE. In the end, it's all about who has the best gear and levels, which *shock* you acheive with PvE (ignoring the large population of cheaters we currently have in the NA community, PvE is supposed to be the way to get anything) Koreans love this type of game, it's a challenge to them; a challenge of willpower, perseverance. For us, it's a PvP game; the open pvp features of this game allows us to unleash our emotions without a care for consequences, but we (a majority of Western educated people) suck at this kind of patience-requiring game.
So... that was my.. umm.. pre-post speech :O
I think for this game to really suceed in NA, there will be a need to seperate the NA version from the KOR version... chances of that happening are next to none, but I'll go on with what i'm saying.
The game needs to have everything revolve around PVP, I suggest changing chaotic states from going red everytime, to going red only if you're xx lvls (say 8) higher than the target. This would acheive the same anti-greifing effects as before, but allow unrestrained PVP among people of the same level range.
I also suggest gaining experience for pvp kills (based on the target's lvl, and your party's damage on the target, just like raids and normal PvE), this encourages pvp exponentially and takes away alot of the boring PvE grind from the leveling experience. Ofcouse this will not be the main way to level up, and not even efficient for leveling up, but it's a distraction from the grind.
For the olympiad, a group type contest should be available, where you can assemble a group of your best nobles to fight amongst each other (similar to how the battle tournament was done) in 1v1, 2v2, 3v3 .... 9v9 winning points will be distributed to the winning team equally. This ensures that a healer, actualy heals, a tank actually tanks,a warlord actually does aoe skills...etc. 1v1 doesn't prove you are worthy of being a hero.
Buffs take too long to cast... I suggest making a inbuilt macro type system, where a buffer class can assemble their buffs for specific situations, and with one click all the buffs will be given. I also suggest an aura-type skill for buffers, where buffs last longer with party members are in range of the buffer with the aura, maybe make it like a warlock cat buff, where you have to buff it 2mins or so.
The reason for these buff related suggestions is because buffers are all too frequently left out of party because they already have the necessary buffs at lvl xx (56 for prophets, 62-66 for SEs) If you can make a buffer needed in a party during PvP/PvE then it would make it worth a buffer's while to play, whereas now it's more of a punishment to play a buffer class, than enjoyment most of the time. This also solves the problem where a prophet never has enough mp, especially when a party is on the move. The buffer macro idea is to reduce the amount of waiting time (*yawn*) where buffs have to be given out.
Right now, in mass pvp, range still has superiority over melee attacks. This may be remedied by either:
1) reducing the attack power of ranged attacks
2) reducing the attack/cast speed of ranged attacks
One may argue that melee can now dish out more damage than ranged units in a short period of time, but if ranged attacks can take down most of the melee units before the melee units reached the ranged units what's the point of the massive damage output that never gets used.
Traditionally, ranged attackers are always support for the melee fighters, they can deal deadly attacks from afar, but with little accuracy for single targets. Their role is to maim the mass, before the real damage comes. Right now, the game is equipped with enough good melee classes to kill in most of the roles in a real battle, knights with heavy armour and shielding, beserkers that care little about their own well-being but focus on attacking power (destroyer), agile fighting masters (tyrants), fame seeking warriors (glads), quick and invisible assassins (daggers), and the passionate rearguards holding enemies back with their long spears (warlords).
I feel that mages have little to fear from melee fights, because they lack the weaknesses a non-closecombat specialist would have: weak physique, clumsiness, little or no strength in close combat attacks, the fact that a fast moving target close to you is much much much harder to hit than a fast moving but far away target (usually, you body can only move precisely in small movements, big movements reduce precision alot)
This is where the game is broken, nothing can get close to the ranged units, and even if they do, the ranged units lose almost no advantage, whereas the melee had to work so hard through an almost impossible situation to get a chance to have an advantage. Accuracy when up close should decrease significantly for archers (whether they can hit the target will depend on the target's evasion skills), similarly for nukers I suggest making the interrupt chance significantly higher when struck by a melee weapon, the bigger the weapon, the higher the chance should be.
In the end, my suggestions aren't really related to the poll, but if I had to vote, it would have to be for the Territorial Battles (Large scale). Although a new race would be refreshing too ^_^
they did not take away that option we never had it, be constructive if you have to say somthing.
they took away the cloak slot in the inventory. I think that is what he means. Although it wasnt a long time ago, it was in C5. So yes, they didnt take away the cloak slot. Not they didnt take away the option to have cloaks. Although taking away the cloak slot in inventory does lean towards not having cloaks in the game.
What new feature would you like to see in the future of Lineage II: The Chaotic Throne? (If you choose Other, please discuss your suggestion in this thread.)
(AKA Timak Orc Troop Leaders, Ragna Orc Series.) ESPECIALLY SINCE THEY ARE ALL ***** AGRO
21) Add a way for excess Manor Crops to be removed from the game (Manor buybacks far too low) without dumping crops onto a NPC for a pittance of adena. - AH MEN BROTHER
22) Fix Overlords buffs to apply to PETS.
...far too many more to list....
I agree with everything this man says except #1 and #13 and believe that this game would be about twice as fun if they were implemented.
Didn't they mostly fix 14 considering you can at most control 3 castles...and then your clan can only register/spawn at the castle they currently control which makes it easier to take them away.
I agree with everything this man says except #1 and #13 and believe that this game would be about twice as fun if they were implemented.
Well for number #1, I perhaps should explain a little more.
Basically the idea the class A should always beat Class B is what I am saying should be removed. 'Instant win' pvp based on some arbitrary 'mapping' is what is bad, not necessarily removing all the new skills or changes. (I do feel *some* were needed and too long in coming...that whole RPS thing though went too **** far.) A more integrated systems of strengths and weaknesses would have been fine. What we got was an excuse for the [Range > All] 'balance' we already had and a few bones to distract people from how little actually changed. Just like daggers initial 'Might Mortal' SA, I expect NC to undo and redo the 'RPS' systems over the next few chronicles in a futile attempt balance their lopsided mistake. At worst I eventually believe the changes will be nerfed enough that they will be insignificant or restricted enough that NC will rubber stamp it as done....until the next 'bright idea' hits the rotating air oscillator.
As for #13....I'm willing to argue a bit on that. But essentially I believe that clan halls are enough of a benefit, and very seldom are released, that one should have to make the choice between having a clan hall or having the opportunity to own a castle. Being able to do both is a bad case of having your cake and eating it too....in front of a horde of starving villagers.
For "other", I would like to see some more specialization in the classes we currently have, rather than adding a new race which would create more classes.
When I first heard of the "3rd Class Transfer" that was what I was expecting... some new specialization in how you can play your character. I was dissapointed when I found out this was not the case, and I would still like to see some type of specialization in the game.
The speciallization would be something you do probably aroung lvl 60-65 (61 would be nice to coincide with A-Grade masteries). It would be something you would do from a quest, perhaps involving raidbosses. It would be changeable if you figure out that you do not like the results, but to choose the opposite specialization you would have to do the quest again. There would be 3 options for most classes (1 being to leave your character as-is, and 2 specializations). For most damage-dealing classes, the options would likely be something like PvE vs. PvP. For support classes, would be for small groups vs. large groups. And, for hybrid classes (sws/bd/wc/ol) personal glory vs. the greater good.
As it is now, there is a reasonable ability to configure how you play your character based on gear and tatoo selection. However, this results in either of the polarities being significantly weaker at what they wish to do than some classes that have very limited variation in how the class is played. Backing up this selection with skills and abilities that complement how one likes to play would make the game much smoother and more enjoyable to play.
Choosing a specialization could nerf, or even disable, some of your skills that do not fit with it. This would allow for the more balanced, unspecialized, class to still maintain some viability.
~~~Examples~~~
Swordsinger
Option 1: Leave the class as it is
Option 2: Personal glory
+gain heavy armor/2 hand weapon masteries
+gain UD2
+critical chance boost
+increased land rates on debuffs
+some sort of Over-Hit attack (that's stronger than powerstrike :P)
-increased song mp cost
-decreased mp regeneration
Option 3: Greater good
+cast time on magical skills reduced
+m.atk given by weapon masteries
+Healer-type light armor masteries(pdef/mp.regen/cast speed)
+song of life replaced by a %-based heal-over-time (I was promised a heal when i chose sws in the first place!)
+Sword Symphony replaced by 'Lullaby' -AoE sleep w/ long recast timer
+decreased song MP consumpton
-P.atk significantly reduced
-loss of arrest/symphonies
-penalties for wearing heavy armor
Gladiator
Option 1: Leave class as-is
Option 2: PvE
+Viscious Stance/Accuracy MP consumption rate significantly reduced
+Light Armor Mastery gains a boost to critical rate
+increased MP regeneration rate
+A skill like fist fury, which increasces atk.speed and consumes HP
-MP consumption increase for specials
-loss of heavy armor masteries
Option 3: PvP
+PvP damage bonus given to all special abilities
+MP consumption for specials slightly reduced
+when using skills that add focus- a % chance to add double the amount added
-PvE damage reduced on special attacks
-decreased MP regen
-Viscious Stance/Accuracy MP consumption increased
----------------------------------
I'll add some more examples later if people are interested in my idea... would like to hear what people think of it first, though.
I like the consept but think its abit to much, i would prefere not loosing any skills at all and not to huge changes.
I would for example go for this idea instead at every 10'th lvl u get 1 point maybe every 5th lvl after 60, anyways theese points could be used to learn a passive skill. The skill could be like boost p. atk, p def accuracy stun resist whatever basicly anything boostable could be increased. There would be no way to get more points then from leveling to the correct lvl also you should not be able to change your decition / this would be done trew a very timedemanding quest and cost a painfull amount of exp.
Accuracy already cost 1mp its pretty cheap as it is
hmmm interesting idea, but it sounds a little too much like WoW, imo. The specialized class skills/passives would also cost SP(forgot to include that), leveling a skill from the mid 60's to max level takes millions of SP. So, I would not expect very much switching, even from...less than legit...players. As it is, people have a hard time affording all the new c5 skills and 3rd class change ones
Although accuracy only takes 1mp to turn on, it drains mp at a constant rate. It is noticeable that it drains MP at lower levels. However, at higher levels it pretty much just negates MP regen. If you want to use it and VS, you WILL run out of MP.
My idea:
A. Make there be bonuses (3x-4x XP/SP/adena/drops) for 3 major hunting areas.
B. Make each area have a "base" at the center.
C. Impliment a skill for party leaders that allows them to plant an alliance/clan flag at the "base".
D. Make the bonus ONLY apply for the clan/alliance that has their flag planted there.
So basically it's kind of like capture the flag. Not only are you XPing, but you're attempting to guard your base so you continue to get the high rates.
Also - do something similar for 8-10 lesser hunting areas but make the upped rates only about 1.5-2x XP/SP/adena/drops.
Also impliment an option to see where online clan/alliance memebers are on your map.
If "territory war" has any semblance to premade factions, then it's a bad idea against what L2 has been until now. I don't want some "alliance vs. horde" crap. I choose my enemies.
I voted "other", by the way. It could be any one from a very big pool of ideas, be it an auction house, more exclusivity of skills for every class, revamp of the olimpiads (just 3rd job necessary, without subclass, or rearrange per levels), take CP pots out of the game...
the more i think about it, the more i like this idea. if you've got 800 ongoing wars you probably want to xp without a flag to hide your position, or if you have the gall to tell everyone where you are, plant a flag somewhere in eight places that youre not, and xp at the ninth. however, i think the flag should have a set range, if you go out of that range, you dont get the bonus, flag can be targeted and destroyed, can only be planted by dwarf classes, and cost 1 crystal (grade depending on the area) to plant. i like the idea of adena flags and xp flags, so you can either do +5% xp bonus or +5% adena from drops bonus, but two overlapping flags cancel each other out and grant 0% bonus to anything. by not having a central base for each area, it means your enemy has to fist find the flag before they can destroy it. much more fun that way.
edit: i assumed that you would be able to see all planted flags on your map, no matter who you are. you should also be able to turn them off.
also, im all for removing all CP pots and health pots from the game. PvP in C5 is all about who can carry the most CP pots, and since dwarves cant afford them, hawkeyes > all.
remember people who want a new race, is there really a point to it? All it will be is a new look, a couple different stats, but all the same skills. There are very very few skills that are only on 1 class. 99% of the skills in this game are shared between multiple classes. A new race will bring like 1 new skill. All other things to it will look the same, we all know how much NCsoft like to make things look unique. All skills will be the same as other classes.
They need to let us convert at least one char over to the new class tho, so it's not all a bunch of new start-ups. I'd convert my old main (57 BH) over.
I honestly think we need to increase the seige field, as well as improve castle ownership.
If developers seriously want to listen to the players
After that is revamped THEN decide on some new races....as add on upddates developed around improving the new castle owning ideas.
scroll up for the post....skim through it till you get to the ideas to improve castle ownership.
I had clan mates in mind for alot of that stuff...due to alot of complaints around the world saying "after you own a castle....the shows over as far as clan mates are concerned..."
OH!
and whats with the benafits being better of owning a clan hall then a castle? that a little odd?
kindda like if you had the choice of a mansion over a 1 bedroom apt.....we'd all take the apt.....little weird?
wow look at the votes tips when the best L2 forum site announced this poll and the majority of the gaming community saw it.
399 votes is a poor effort for a forum community which at one stage held the most subscribed gameplayers for any game out there, until WoW stepped in that is......
New race starting grounds will look like Franz starting grounds except on every server, and I don't think I need to be any more specific than that...
Mass territory wars, designed well would be awesome.
Create objectives in the world that can be sieged/captured/defended/destroyed at ANY time in every castle territory and yield rewards for holding and controlling them. IE - mines that give ore at a steady rate when captured ( better ore in higher level areas ) or other "nodes" that give different resources - Shadowbane did this so all you have to do is rip them off, it's easy! Also Arathi Basin in WoW did it but of course in a trivial way (instanced PvP sucks).
You could also have outposts and watch towers in each territory that give maybe rep points over time for holding them, and bonuses for attacking/defending a castle at siege time depending on who holds them X amount of time before a siege... make the siege period longer and more exciting with smaller sieges leading up to the castle basically, can't hurt to make sieges a longer event with more accessible small scale fights.
Would make PvP a lot more dynamic, competitive, interesting, and realistic.
Another thought - please don't add any more territory until you start merging servers! The game world is too big, too hard to find people to PvP and group with when there's a million hunting grounds and not nearly enough people to fill it.
thats nice. Cause this is about L2, not WoW. Just cause people dont vote, doesnt mean they arent there. The official site is seen by very few people. Blah is seen by 100's of times more people.
and the total amount doesnt matter, it is what is being voted for and that is my point. Before blah had anything on it, new race was winning by a lot. Blah had something about it, New Race is now 2nd to large scale wars.
The point is, any poll here really wont get what the community wants. If they made polls on the fan sites and counted those, the outcome would be different. If they want to do official polls, they need to do them on fan sites too cause they get a ton more traffic then the official site.
Anytime i log in server is full. To much Pkers and PvPers + zariche. Hard to find free hunting spot. Usualy there we have 5 hunters on single mob + bots. You can deal or find ppl to PK or PvP in arena. Siege laging server enought so adding land wars will be worse.
So new land is better. Maybe to leave all Pkers on old land and on new land non PvP free hunting zone.
My idea:
A. Make there be bonuses (3x-4x XP/SP/adena/drops) for 3 major hunting areas.
B. Make each area have a "base" at the center.
C. Impliment a skill for party leaders that allows them to plant an alliance/clan flag at the "base".
D. Make the bonus ONLY apply for the clan/alliance that has their flag planted there.
So basically it's kind of like capture the flag. Not only are you XPing, but you're attempting to guard your base so you continue to get the high rates.
Also - do something similar for 8-10 lesser hunting areas but make the upped rates only about 1.5-2x XP/SP/adena/drops.
Also impliment an option to see where online clan/alliance memebers are on your map.
the more i think about it, the more i like this idea. if you've got 800 ongoing wars you probably want to xp without a flag to hide your position, or if you have the gall to tell everyone where you are, plant a flag somewhere in eight places that youre not, and xp at the ninth. however, i think the flag should have a set range, if you go out of that range, you dont get the bonus, flag can be targeted and destroyed, can only be planted by dwarf classes, and cost 1 crystal (grade depending on the area) to plant. i like the idea of adena flags and xp flags, so you can either do +5% xp bonus or +5% adena from drops bonus, but two overlapping flags cancel each other out and grant 0% bonus to anything. by not having a central base for each area, it means your enemy has to fist find the flag before they can destroy it. much more fun that way.
edit: i assumed that you would be able to see all planted flags on your map, no matter who you are. you should also be able to turn them off.
also, im all for removing all CP pots and health pots from the game. PvP in C5 is all about who can carry the most CP pots, and since dwarves cant afford them, hawkeyes > all.
I don't like the flag only being able to be planted by dwarves. The skill should be one everyone gets, but it only becomes active if you have party leader status. OR make it so that only clan leader/guard unit/knight unit leaders can plant flags. That would make it more interesting because if none of them are online you have to be extra cautious of the flag.
Making you stay in range of that flag is kind of nice, but then it wouldn't really be as effective because it would only count for that party, vs their entire clan/alliance. Think about it, if you're in a big clan/alliance you'll have many people online at once. There's only so many parties you can have going within range of a flag. I still like the idea of a centeral base. It would make the game much more aggressive for hunting spots, kind of like in the PTS. Perhaps just widen the base and say you can plant the flag anywhere within x range of the center point of the territory. The flag should work just like flags in sieges, when you destroy them you can plant yours. If a flag is planted it would keep all alliance members online in that territory on their toes, ready for the warning shout in ally chat from the nearest guarding party.
Wow the more I talk about it the more I wish they really would impliment it like this :( lolol
i picked new race...but i love the idea of a large scale territory war iv always thought the game would be great if you almost had to choose sides ...the lore says that elves and d.e. are kind of opposites so their should be tension between the two factions sort of thing :p
wow look at the votes tips when the best L2 forum site announced this poll and the majority of the gaming community saw it.
All it proved is that they can manipulate the system by voting using their multiple accounts. :p I'm sure this can be confirmed by an IP check. If they want territory wars, then each individual that voted should explain why they want them. Those that haven't, anyway.
I guess the people who come here often cant log onto their other accounts and do the same? That was good thinking on your part.
Why do people want a new race? To get the same thing we already have, but just a new look? You know there will be an archer, mage, dagger, tank and probably some sort of support class. All the skills will be the same like I said before. Look at when they make "new mobs". 90% of all new mobs in new chronicles are mobs that are in the game already, but they change their name. Look at their "new town" of Schuttgart and the castle. Look at that "new desing".
This is pretty much just a form of subclassing. All the stuff that is in the game; this is types of classes, types of skills, looks of skill, but on a class that we havent seen them on before.
I guess the people who come here often cant log onto their other accounts and do the same? That was good thinking on your part.
There wasn't any need when the voting opened, there was no sense of urgency to try and cheat the vote. "New race" won a decisive victory in the Korean poll, it's easy enough to believe that a lot of people here feel the same. That was good thinking on your part.
I'm sure those calling for a new race could take the low road as well if they wanted, but it's pretty pointless. This is merely to gauge reaction and opinon, not stuff the ballot box and give the axe to the losing idea. The enthusiasm, while refreshing, is pretty misguided.
I think all news are welcome, but in big wars, territorial lands by clans make a new world in l2 i think and help more pvp and new more clan active to win in the game server.
I only have one thing to add here... i my lil opinion...
Ok when u die lose 4%, in war 1%*(if u are a declare ofical war) but wasup when u kill? ANY...i think help for more fun in game thats u UP XP when u kill same that when u die. And its make a different point of view for leveling, hardcore gamers and casual gamers, i think like PVP when u XP up up and up, and in finish... if u are REALLY good player.. u dont lose XP ;).. make L2 for good players and nice fun, noot for hardcore grinding withow fun only KILL-mob-nextmob-kill-nextmob 39849384938 mobs quest and 2% up...¬¬ ok i u like that, no its a easy way to make massive players in my think , l2 need make a WORLD comunity thats if u have 10hours day can play L2, and its u play 10min u can play too and no need goo WOW or other EASY grinder game...
yea i put in the part about dwarfs because dwarves need something, anything...so i throw them into every suggestion, just to give NC more options. but you are right, only the party leader should be able to plant a party flag, and a clan leader a clan falg, etc. the range on clan flags would definately be larger than that of party flags, an ally flag would cover at least an entire territory (and cant be planted in towns or inside castles), party flags would have a radius just right for one room in a necropolis/catacomb. a clan flag could cover TOI, if placed in the center, but i think it should only work on the floor at which it is planted (so there is a vetical limit to the range as well).
where is any of this multiple accounts voting at? I dont see it. Koreans want new race cause they dont care about pvp. This isnt korea. But I guess cause a 100% different game playing community all the way around the world doesnt care for pvp, people here dont either. Am I right with your logic? Nice try on trying to mimic me on your own flaws.
Ya it is easy to believe a lot of people here want a new race also, but it is even easier to believe tha more people here want more pvp then korea.
I guess you are brand new to this game, otherwise you would know for the last 5 chronicles the NA servers dont think anything like the Korean servers. We dont like most of the changes. Hell look at the latest patch that has been announced, or have you not made you way to those forums yet. I understand it takes a couple days to view these boards when you are new to them.
oh btw, if you want more pve, a new race is not the answere. Lvl 79 it takes about 1 hour to get .35%, that is 2 weeks of 24/7 lvling in the best groups you can make. The game is already coded up to lvl 85. lvl 85 would be like 2 months of 24/7 best groups you can form to get a lvl.
So it you want pve, just let it come, it will always be coming.
I guess you are brand new to this game, otherwise you would know for the last 5 chronicles the NA servers dont think anything like the Korean servers.
I started playing the day after Lineage 2 hit retail. Is this really all you have to contrubute here, make kneejerk reactions and try to bait people? Pretty weak effort so far, but keep digging there, slugger.
Look around the forums and rub a couple brain cells together. There are indeed people that appreciate some of the new changes in the upcoming patch. The angrier, more vocal crowd is not wholly representative of the Lineage 2 community. I'd agree that some of the changes are to the community's benefit, others.. not so much.
Ya it is easy to believe a lot of people here want a new race also
Then man up and deal with it, because if NC goes by the community response in Korea, that's exactly what we'll be getting.
where is any of this multiple accounts voting at?
My mistake, I guess the gigantic vote swing from nowehere after it was posted on a certain other forum was some kind of miraculous comeback.
Personally, I'd be thrilled with any of the options on that list. :D So it doesn't much matter.
How exactly do you know Koreans dont care about PvP?
How do you know that a new race will just be a copy / paste version of whats in the game already with a new look?
For starters a new race would indeed create more pvp because more then likely half the servers will be rerolling as new races to try them out, people will be fighting for xp spots all over simply because there is hardly any mobs in newbie areas now compaired to what there was in Prelude / C1 / C2, so that in itself will create PvP on its own.
Secondly, Korean servers are much more populated then NA servers ever will be which means there is hell of alot more pvp that goes on over there then here. I find it funny that you seem to think that Koreans dont care for pvp, i think you need to download the Korean client and go play on their servers for awhile to see how much they really dont care about it.....
As for territoral wars etc, like i said, on a large scale here in this game, they need to ethier merge servers OR make it easier to make it to higher levels, you pointed out yourself how long it takes to grind out levels, and even if people start new races OR the Epic Edition gets newer players into this game, they are facing a good 1 year before they even see level 70 on 1 character. 1 year before they even get to participate in something like this because they will be so low in level they simply wont be usefull and just dead weight.
In 1 year, i can almost bet that server merges on the NA servers have occured because majority of the people have quit and gone to some more major titles due to be released with in the next 6 - 8 months.
I think there's no need to worry about who "wins" this - IIRC last time there was a poll like this, we wound up getting both formal wear and fishing. :p
As far as the majority of the community is concerned, by the way, wouldn't that be USACoolBoys and friends? I wonder what they would vote for...
How exactly do you know Koreans dont care about PvP?
the same way he knows that people logged into all their accounts to swing the vote. I figure if he can use that stupid logic, I can throw it back at him and he would agree with it.
How do you know that a new race will just be a copy / paste version of whats in the game already with a new look?
everything else in this game is copy from on place, paste to another, why would they change now? It seems to be the copy/paste method is working for them, why would they change it?
and about the character transfer thing, are you that delusional?
I guess you are brand new to this game, otherwise you would know for the last 5 chronicles the NA servers dont think anything like the Korean servers.
the huge vote swing was cause the people who like pvp saw it and voted for pvp. Is it that hard to understand?
ya look aroung the forums. If the posts are still there (ncsoft like to delete a lot of negative things) you will see a lot of negative things about stuff in this game.
You're the one that needs to man up and deal with it. You are making stuff up about people voting with multiple accounts. Why not man up and deal with the fact that more people want the pvp, not the new race? Come on, man up. Dont make excuses up.
You would fix the game by doing server merges so we actually have enemies to fight. Instead of looking around for an hour or more for a duo of enemies that BSOE.. Adding new lands would do more harm than good, see above. Having territory wars is pointless since any good clan is already at war with 2/3 of their server.
No im not delusional but i suppose i should of been a little more specific, people suggested character transfers to other accounts as in, take a character of one account and put it onto another, no difference then a server transfer really, except its to another account and i mean hey, if someone is willing to spend 75 bux to do it, why not?
I Vote Other, Server Merges.........
Littlebugger is also from Kain and is a high level WS and would know first hand that Territory Wars on any scale is a bad idea simply because there is not enough population to fill it or make it succesful.
Unless they merge servers and make them heavy at all times during peak hour 7 days a week, Territories will constantly be changing hands faster then it will be worth worring about, unless they will make the rewards so vast that in the small amount of time you own one, it works out to better then owning a Castle for 2 weeks, yeah i can see that happening.........not.
If anyone else here has played games like UO, AC or DAoC will understand how these Territory Wars work and what goes into them to keep them succesful, these Territory Wars however were a 24/7 thing, they simply were not scheduled around and you had to have enough man power at all times of the day basically to hold Territorys or you simply lost them.
All i see Territory Wars creating is another heaven for lvl 75+ people to control, and with how long it currently takes to get to 75+ and how many people are acually 75+ on each server, i cant see to many people being worried about Territory control anytime soon thats for sure, unless you like getting owned.
Its will probally be something like Olympiad, a waste of time to be honest, unless your clan is willing to throw matches and get you hero status.
remove bsoe from game permanently
make ppl unable to run into town if flagged
make teleporting have a short delay (1-2s is fine) so ppl can't gatekeeper hop at cata/necro entrance
also reduce nuker pvp damage like summons.
Other : something to help the casual gamers to level up quicker to be able to play with their friends... most of my friends are now 20~25 levels above me ><
People who vote for a new race and then complain about unbalance in L2 are hypocrites. If you bring in a new race, don't you think their will even be more unbalance than it is? It took NCsoft three years to figure this RPS system (which is good) out.
I voted for territory wars because when I had a choice between taking city of heroes or lineage 2, I took L2 because of the seiges. I may not be a great PvPer or a guy who is looking for blood all the time BUT seiges are always fun. Lineage 2 is about open pvp and wars. Yet the people who doesn't like the open pvp and wars then I don't mean to be rude but why are you here if you're trying to avoid PvPs and ONLY looking for PvE.
Lineage 2 has a reputation of....
a.) grinding is a b**ch
b.) Open PvP and wars
c.) beautiful graphics
The beauty of Lineage 2 is that there is no "end game". Everyone determines their own end game in Lineage 2. Whether you want to be a hero, a castle owner, master of PvE, a greifer, a PKer, and so on it is up to you. But I have a hard time when people complain about PvP in this game when this game is known for it.
BTW, my idea of changing the castle structure should be this.... force people to seige. How can you do that?
Current castle owner
first 2 weeks minimum is 5%
next 2 weeks minimum is 15%
Every two weeks the increment of taxation will rise every 10%.
If people are okay with paying 100% tax just because they like the owner then so be it. But if you want lower taxes then go out there and fight for the **** castle and change the tax.
What new feature would you like to see in the future of Lineage II: The Chaotic Throne? (If you choose Other, please discuss your suggestion in this thread.)
Come on people!
New race? You really want to start your long grind over? Forget that. Large Scale Territorial wars all the way. This is a PvP game, learn to deal with it or go play something else imo.
All these people who cried out for these Territory Wars are standing on large pecies of land with tumble weeds rolling across in the wind with no one in site, scratching their heads wondering where the hell everyone is.............
I don't get it ... unless all those people (me including) would consist of exactly one person, they would have someone in sight - each other.
Which would be precisely what we want. Let the fighting begin ...
Ok let me be a bit more specific.
How many new people have you seen join a olympiad in the last 3 months? How many new clans OR i should say different people join seiges in the last 3 months?
Not too mention, Territory Wars need clan vs clan wars, similar to seiges except its over massive parts of land, i can see maybe 10 - 20 per day, if that, participating in it, seems like on a mass scale to me........
I dont know how many people have siad this, but to make Territory Wars succesful they are almost putting themselves into a postion where they are forcing themselves to merge servers, unless they just all of a sudden out of no where get a influx of players falling from the sky, which quite honestly, i dont see because i just rerolled a newbie toon today, i seen 2 people in TI village and no one out on the killing feilds.
To attract more people to this game they need to do some things along the line of:
1) Drop rates for base mats need to make sense, killing lvl 65+ mobs shouldnt be dropping 1 stem, 1 thread, 1 varnish, 1 coal etc etc, and they should drop alot more often.
2) Increase XP gain for higher level players 55+ so people can get upto the levels in a decent time frame to participate in these new Territory Wars.
3) Make a new race to breath some more life into this game, not to mention a fresh picture. For those who think this would just make the classes more unbalanced then they already are, there is alot of skills that arent even in this game as yet IE:
Mass Wind Shackle - Slows enemies attack speed in a surrounding area. This is something id acually rather see SE's get seeing they already get Wind Shackle, but a suggestion / idea non the less.
Mana Drain - For melee characters in the form similar to Vampric Rage, regains there mana the more they hit and the more damage they do, very badly needed for classes who can burn their mana down in less then 4 mobs.....ie: Daggers, BH's, Gladiators etc.
These are just two examples im running off the top of my head at 4am in the morning here in Aus, but im sure if you put all the classes together you would be able to find a alot more skills / abilities that arent in this game. Not only is a new race a breath of fresh air for this game, but also will populate the lower level areas because people WILL reroll for the simple fact, they will want to test them out.
So let me run it down for you.
Yes i agree with Territory Wars if they merge servers.
No i dont agree with them if they dont merge servers.
Yes i agree with a new race.
There is no reason why i wouldnt agree with a new race.
As pointed out by other people, the gap between the high end players ( which is hardly any per server ) and the average players needs to be closed up before adding something like Territory Wars into this game and only one way to do that, increase XP gain, increasing XP gain alone will attract more people to this game and it will make seiges and olympiads alot more exciting to say the least also.
The game has just clicked over its 3rd year, we have WoW's new expasion being released very soon, by the end of the year, we have EQ2's new expasion being released this month, we have Conan, Vangaurd and Warhammers new title due to be released at the beginning of 2007, we have press release info about Lineage 3 and Aion in the first quarter of 2007.
What makes you think, someone is going to pick this game up and play it in its current state for the next 2 years to even become of a level to compete in these Territory Wars / Seiges / PvP in general, while all these other major titles are being released, that not only will some have even more content then L2 has, but better quest systems, better gameplay, better moevement in game, so many things that L2 has failed to implement over the 3 years it has been on the market and why have they failed to do so?
Because NA servers and the rest of the world that fills the NA servers is but a small fraction of the poplautaion that fills the Korean based servers.
In the end, it doesnt matter what we think otherwise half this [censored] would of been implemented a LONG time ago, some of the stuff getting implemented in the next patch has been suggested on a constant basis since C1......and of course the forums mods here and RustNC will come in and say our voice matters and servers are growing in a healthy manner blah blah, dont piss down my back and tell me its raining...... :)
How many new people have you seen join a olympiad in the last 3 months? How many new clans OR i should say different people join seiges in the last 3 months?
About 20 or so new people for the Olympiad (I don't care that much, the Olympiad is a joke on Teon), about 20-30 new people for sieges from my alliance alone.
We're a small and insignificant alliance. We could, and would, field up to 100 people for those territory wars if they started today. For the new chronicle (sorry, "Interlude"), I suppose we'll be at 150 people, maybe 200.
There are way bigger and higher-level alliances on Teon then us - and most of them are geared up for PvP.
So I don't see your problem, really. In the end, we'll surely get both a new race and large-scale (and "large-scale" means "a lot of people involved, at all grades" to me, like I mentioned in my first post here already) territory wars in L2 - the question is just which of them do we get fiirst.
You dont see my problem because Teon is a euro server which has been around the longest and was the only Euro server for quite awhile and is almost always Heavy traffic, so of course your not going to see the problem.
Like i said, these ideas will work on some servers while on others will be a total flop.
Adding a new race is a win / win for all servers, no matter how populated they are.
No, adding a new race is a lose/lose. Unless you powerlevel toons and sell accounts for a liveing. It would be interesting for about 2 weeks, then i wouldnt care anymore because nothing will make me abandon my current toons anyways.
You dont see my problem because Teon is a euro server which has been around the longest and was the only Euro server for quite awhile and is almost always Heavy traffic, so of course your not going to see the problem.
Like i said, these ideas will work on some servers while on others will be a total flop.
So (maybe) this territory wars idea will be a flop on your server, while a hit on others. But ... if it will be a hit on at least one server - why are you against it? On the server where on-one uses it, no-one gets hurt either. It's still a net win for the whole community.
I couldn't care less about the new race. No idea why you care about territory wars if you don't intend to participate anyway.
new race might not mean you can subclass it. Maybe the entire race can not be subclassed. Would you put that past NCsoft? Half of the dwarf race cant be subclassed (lol). If it is a flying race like so many have said, I would bet you cant subclass it.
Large scale pvp will bring people to this game over a new class. Why? This game is a pvp game. They little advertising they do, is about pvp, they make videos about fighting other players. They talk about caslte sieges. Like someone else said, if you are playing this game just to hunt mobs, this is the wrong game.
pvp has been worked on on every single chronicle cause that is their main point. They dont make a new race or class every chronicle. They have made it easier to lvl to get to high lvls. This may surpise you, but they didnt make it easy to lvl to go hunt more mobs even longer. They made it easier to lvl to get the lvls to compete in pvp.
The selling point to this game is pvp.
There is plenty of MMO's out there that is based around PvP, WoW is based around PvP, EQ2 has PvP servers while at the same time having PvE servers.
Your aboustely right though, if you play this game to just hunt mobs, your playing the wrong game, but you have to hunt mobs for at least the first year and a half to 2 years to become 75+ to be of any use on a Seige feild, High end raid and the same will happen in this Territory War. Thats the point people fail to see, yeah Territory Wars sound cool and all, and would be really cool with alot of people participating in them, but what new players is going to pick upa 3 year old game, play it for another 2 years before they even become useful on the Seige / Raid / Territory War feilds? Just because this is a PvP isnt enough, it has to measure up against not only games that exsist today, but also games that are going to be released in the next 6 months, which unfortunately, this game lacks hard core, maybe thats the hard core aspect NCsoft like to advertise, this game lacks.
Axjot, you ask me why im interested in Territory Wars when i wont be participating in them? Ill partcipate in them if there is enough people on the server to fill such a event.
20 people a night is not a large scale war, id hardly call that medium, thats like a watered down seige. 20 people isnt even enough to kill raid bosses anymore.
If this game was going to attract people because of PvP, it would of done so already, it was the reason i came to this game in Prelude, but now there is alot of better games out there when it comes to PvP and more to be released.
Not necessarily...
Lets say something like Dragon Valley becomes territory you can capture... I highly doubt the clans of almost all 75+ are going to care if a lower level clan captures it. If there are territories of each set of levels (sort of like necropoli/catacombs) a lot of content could be opened for lower level players that most dont get to experience until they are 70+. Whenever I get on my academy/alt/sub characters I am frustrated by the lack of PvP. There used to ALWAYS be lowbie PvP somewhere, but now people are focused solely on the end-game content. This could be a great addition for both high and low level characters. It would also be really fun to have academy vs academy fight over some place like the Ant's Nest, imo.
Id rather have the same amount of people playing right now doing the pvp system, then the half of them rerolling and not pvping for 6 months so they can lvl up.
you keep saying it takes 2 years+. So you want to start all over and click on mobs for another 2 years? I dont know what you are tying to say. You want a new class, but you keep bringing up it will take 2 years to do anything with it. Is that really what you want? To take the last 3 years of playing, through it away, start over and take another 2 years all cause the character will look different and have a slightly different play style?
No thats not all im saying, thats just one part of what im saying. I have also been saying that another way to introduce new players into this game is by increasing XP gain at lvl 55+, now to do this you dont even have to change the xp gain per mob so to speak, all they have to do is change the amount of XP needed to gain each level, pretty simple and more then likely one of the easiest changes they could possible do that alone will attract new people.
Look at it in the eyes of a new player, they wont get up around lvl 55 for a good 3 - 4 months all depends on how much they play, which to me is a decent pace for a new player, the point where it begins to kill it for these new players is as they move their way into A grade, i doubt most will even make it that far before they begin to start rolling alts, then they discover that its the same grind over and over again, with nothing new to be learned.
Koreans might find it hard core to sit down for months and months and months to get that next level, but i sure as hell dont, the other thing is, Korea and other Asian countries can simply do that because of the sheer amount of people that populate such small parts of the world.
Anyways, i dont think it really matters anymore, we will likely get both, and probally in the Chaotic Throne expasion, but im starting to lose my vision here on this game, which is a pity, ive enjoyed this game over the past 2 years.
Where have I said it takes two years? :P It takes a few months if you have the right support (which I don't, but that's my own problem).
If people want to PvP, they'll PvP (although I don't get why anyone would want to PvP in an MMORPG, where all it is is a flexing of PvE/ebay muscle). If people want to reroll, what the hell does it bother you? It's not like those who are busy rerolling or PvEing would be fighting you if they weren't doing so, they'd be rerolling to something less new and sparkly.
Why ppl leaved on your "empty" server?
Did you PKed them or harashed them unill they quit?
O yes u call this PvP.
So no newcomers low lvl to harash any more on your server?
And u wan to do the same thing on other full servers?
Sure land war can be only for lvl 80 ppl.
So NO to land war and NO to merge servers or any kind char transfer.
NO to new race too except if it will be single class (skills of all classes with possiblity to raise basic stats too) and we get clear promisses that they will not be nerfed in future.
New land seems better at least something new not seen jet.
No, no high level clan would ever hog the good levelling spots for their subs/alts/academy ...
Of course not. People don't bring their mains either, right?
Most high levels leveling their alts/subs/academy/whatever would find it more efficient to just move than bother bringing their main to kill a bunch of lowbies just to switch back to their alt and get greifed again. People who bring their mains are almost never working in collaboration, its usually one person. One person on their main would not be able to hold an area while still being able to get decent XP... unless the XP/whatever bonus is HUGE. However, i'd assume it would only be enough to make it worth while if you can hold an area for an extended amount of time (like controlling the lair in c1, or TOI in c2...but reinforced by the game). The only one who would be likely to care is another clan of somewhat equal level. With boxed buffers/rechargers/pots/etc. that almost all high-level users have access to to level lowbies with, they would miss out on more XP by spending time PvPing for the spot than if they just went to a catacomb or something with slightly lower rates amd XPed non-stop.
More options to personalize characters.
and way more weapons/armor that has the same dmg/SA's/bonuses as now but with other looks.
More accessories (++Aviator Sunglasses D8)
And, personally, I think there are plenty of cool looking armors out there, however some have vastly better bonuses which leaves some armors almost unused. I'd like to see bonuses for Tallum Light/Robes and NM Robes slightly adjusted so we might see more of them 8D (they both look soooo nice on LE girls T.T)
on mtv2 online it has a game mod of evanscence bring me back to life i beleive.
well she was a faery, like a bad *** looking one. check it out for ideas.
That was nvidia's video mod. The characters' names were Dawn and Dusk, oddly enough. :p
That would be a great look for l2 if the idea of a faery like winged race where to be implemented....but alas...i dont think this is going to get noticed by the devs.
No new races, but new classes!!!!!!!!!!! the game really needs some new classes, also....i don't want to lineage 2 become one of thos lame games which bring out some obscure and stupid new race just for the sake of it.
Also however, i would like to see a racial war! I want the elves and dark elves to have one gut wrenching throat slashing gorey fight! If you ever played UO, their could be a special dimension or something you could go to for mass pvp like you could in UO.
This game also needs some more plot line or meening other than lvl, lvl, lvl get money, get ganked down to lvl 65, grind grind grind get back level, pvp, get revenge and repeat. A massive racial war dimension would definetly add some fun and meening :) I have tried a couple of times to do something like that just with clans, but its very dificult because i was able to get a fair number of people into my clan, but i could not find another clan who was able to get enough light elves to combat me (we wanted a light vs dark elf war).
I am still hoping for the Arteias :) Of the four elemental races they are the only one not in the game yet.
From the Myth of the Creation of Races:
Shilen instilled the spirit of water into the first form that was created. This is how the race of elves was created.
Paagrio instilled the spirit of fire into the second form that was created. This is how the race of orcs was created.
Maphr instilled the spirit of earth into the third form. This is how the race of dwarves was created.
Sayha instilled the spirit of wind into the fourth form. This is how the race of arteias was created.
[...]
Gran Kain shouted with great pride to all the world and instilled spirit into the creatures of his own image. However, the result was terrible. His creatures were weak, stupid, sly, and cowardly. All the other gods despised Gran Kain's creatures. Overcome by the shame of his failure, Gran Kain abandoned his creatures and went into hiding for a time. These creatures are called humans.
[...]
The winged race of arteias was freedom-loving and possessed undying curiosity. Giants wanted to capture and subjugate the free-flying creatures, but as soon as an arteia was locked up in a cage, it quickly lost its strength and died. Giants were left with no choice but to allow the arteias to fly free. The arteias visited the city of giants to give them news from other parts of the world.
From 'The Aftermath':
The elves decided to seek help from the race of the wind - the arteias. Their reconnaissance skills and aerial attacks would be sufficient aid for the elves to triumph over the orcs. An elven delegation traveled to the ends of the earth to seek the help of the arteias.
"Race of the wind, come to our aid! The barbarian orcs are oppressing us with their sheer might. Let us join together and teach them their foolishness!"
But, as always, the arteias were not interested in the politics or wars of the earth. They determined to take neither side and hid themselves deeper in the inlands. The elves despaired.
wow...
well...im for big scale warfare only because it opens up room for other sugestions to be considered.
When i hear the larger scale pvp i think of the increase of the seige field.
which would offer the suggestion of basecamps...
which would offer the suggestion to new seige equipment....
which would open the suggestion to a new class of dwarves...
which would...well you get the picture
it would open open a lot more doors then just adding a race, which wouldnt be bad either.
but honestly im all about improving the ownership of castles, and improving the gameplay of seige.
NcSoft is listening to suggestions, I see some of the smaller ones being done throughout C5. very cool of em.
and i think they are giving us a ride and putting the three highest wanted suggestions intop the new chronicle.
cause we know gracia is coming up, and we know gracia will have inhabitance. im wandering if they are going to do what they did with there other mmo, city of heroes/villians
where you'll have not only gracia added, and wars among aden elmore and gracia
where you wont just have one race but 5
ole malhums
arteias
lizardmen
etc.
but warfare amungst them as well
cause its possible they are doing that and are just seeing if we'd like all that or not....
cause if you dont and are just flaming eachother and putting your ideas into the fire....its possible NcSoft NA wont invest in it and move on to another market and let the game die, so try encouraging eachothers ideas instead of discouraging?
Make new Xpin areas u can pvp there too and its technically new land right? so thats three birds one stone. and perferably a castle on it to make [censored] interesting...
new exping areas = more places to look for enemies, less chance of finding them = less pvp
