when i first started the necro i pretty much knew where i was gonna be from 40-77
unfortunately C5 changed a few hunting grounds around and they will no longer be viable
if my maffs is correct i should prolly be at vos until 72 since some mobs will be light blue at 73 and the mob density prolly wont make it efficient to hunt there
mobs at vos give about 9k xp for a fairly solid 1.3 hit
back when i was lvling the crafter i noticed a fair few nukers cdling at hot springs and farmers love to plvl at shrine of the loyal
either of these places good to cdl at? or any other alternatives?
im pretty much invincible so mob skills dont really bother me
just want the highest xp per nuke possible with a reasonable spawn
forest of the dead? some group mobs, a lot of agro mobs, but they gives 8-13k xp or so. not sure how easy they are to kill with cdl. they have like 3800hp or so.
actually only the vampires are dark resist
some mobs are holy weak which makes them abit harder but not undoable
its imposible for a necro to hunt high vos at night
Hot Springs CDL is great. But I would not reccomend going there alone, since one failed nuke could very well = death, and the mobs there stun. I don't know how coordinated you are, maybe you can pull it off :)

any idea on the lvl range for hotsprings and how many nukes it takes?
high blazing swamp is possibly the worst spot in game for any class but i know a necro cant even 3 hit those mobs until lvl 70 at which point you get 8-12k xp
lower blazing swamp should be 2 hittable at 72 but the mobs there average 8-9k xp which again is a huge step down from vos (9k xp for 1 and 2 hits)
Im currently 72 leveling on the non-dark resist mobs at FoTD, problem is they turn blue in 1 level and there simply are no spots a necro can 2 shot at after 73.

well my idea was to kill the high fod bone guys while ignoreing the vampires
not sure when you can 2 hit those but its definately not possible at night (all mobs are dark resist)
also my ws lvled on the spiders at night till till 75 even though they were blue
im really stumped on where necros need to be at 70+
guess its the necro nerf everyone was hopeing for ^^
CDL at Hot Spring is very good. You have to go to the area near the NPCs that start the quests since the mobs in that area are not aggro (they are social but not aggro). To CDL in that area you will want (maybe even require) top buffs [emp3, zerk2, acumen3], top armor [DC set, +4/5 WIT, +4 INT], and top weapon [SoM+3 with acumen] and you'll have to have the 74 skills. Even then you may not be able to 3 shot the mobs but you'll be close. If you can't do it in 3 shots it's not worth doing since the mobs will be able to hit you.
It got a lot harder in C5 to use CDL in the Hot Springs due to the Sleep nerf, which used to be possible to use if the third shot failed to kill the mob. Now you'll have to use Vamp Claw then B2M back down.
You'll still probably get better XP / shot at VoS until 72 then in FoTD until 74.
A good option for Necro is to go hunt the Disciples of XXX in WoA area. They are 5X mobs, level 75 about, and weak to dark so you can gloom, anchor, then blast with death spike. This is probably what I would try. Plus you'll get loads of S grade jewelry parts doing the quest there.
Go to Wall of Argos and kill Antelopes and Antelope Slaves. Head towards the Shrine of Loyal area, and you'll also see bandersnatch slaves, buffaloes, eyeballs, etc. All are good solo XP for a Necro and any other mage nuker.
You can do a couple of the quests in that area to get S-grade jewelry parts, etc, too.
Alternative way:
Use ur cursed man and join fighters party.Do anchor/sleep/silence/small heals at time ur summon fights.
L-room is nice.
I did it in boss room a few days ago, I felt useless to the party (although cursed man is pretty hax with cov) and some people complained about targeting issues. Id love to get this kind of party more often, but I take 2 slots and dont add much to the party so I dont expect it. :p
