Well ,it seems like the koreans and most of the us playerbase has voted for a new race. I still wonder if this poll result will be go to live servers. Or will there be a new feature in Interlude,with race wars. If the new race will be arteias. Then it must be something like that. If i am not mistaked, the giants and arteias have been almost extingt and weakened. Will they gain the old power again in the Chaotic Throne updates. I liked to see that happen, as i understand it is most likely not going to happen between elmore and aden - Dark elves vs elves and humans vs Orcs. It is way too quiet and boring currently as there is no exitement,adrenalin - what a race,large scale continent war can add. imagine of beeing afraid of the other nation while trying to get experience and helping out your friends. Well say goodbye to robots,because they will not survive a conflit like this :)

Think about it.. unless they already have the new race about 50% done or more.. it would taker them years to get that much new coding done if they started now.

That is the dumbest thing I've possibly ever heard. They've changed animations, textures, skill effects, added skills, created new lands, and you think it takes years? You think they really are tryin to pull one over on us?

Considering that they add what, maybe forty new monster models on average per chronicle, it won't be that hard to add another race. Most of the work is probably textures for each armor. The actual scripting of new skills and such is probably very quick; the biggest part would be the graphic design, and they've managed to add impressive amounts of models, animations, and textures in a single update before.

Acually, speaking from experience, id say there more or less a year ahead in schedule when it comes to releasing each expasion anyways, as in, when C5 was in beta, they probly were already working on Chaotic Throne: Interlude.
So yeah, by the time they code everything ie: New zones, Maps, Buildings, Monsters, Armor, Weps, Wep drops, Base mat drops etc etc, script all the new quests, add way points and the list could go on for days, i can see how it would take them close to a year between expasions.
I like to think that NCsoft take into consideration the economies when doing this too and make it more or less a average of servers combined, which sort of shows if you ran around spoiling the new C5 mobs and how A grade recs are now spoilable etc etc.
But this is how most game companies work anyways, by the time a new expasion is released, they are probly 3 months into working on a new one again, if not more in some cases.
