First off b4 someone says dwars can't pvp..i have seen several dwarfs own others.

I am looking for a PVP setup for my Bounty Hunter lvl 70..What A grade armor/A grade weapon/Dyes etc. should he use?
Were the other players afk? XD

Just kidding, and no I have nothing useful to say about this, other than watching the olympiad some time back a WS was kicking *** with nm heavy.
at least a +12 SoulBow...

they were level 4 noobs.

dwarfs CANT pvp. theres just no two ways around it. either you run in and die, or run in and fake death.
Stun first ask questions later. If you land a couple of stuns in a row, you have a chance. Or if you are a few levels higher....that helps. I have -6 con +4 str +2 dex. when i had blue wolf, my awesome speed let me run up and stun peoples. I like nightmare. I hope perhaps the reflect damage on shield will let the squishes kill themselves.

Other than that, hang out with nukers and archers, and let them shoot peoples of yer face.
Well....let me think.

Tallum Heavy and a Health blunt. The Chrono Pole for use with your CP removing AOE skill..and some type of bow.
Hears the deal, an BH wont OWN ANYTHING ingame, who ever came up with that lies big TIME.

On other hand, can BH kill other classes? Hell yes we can, but no we wont OWN A SINGLE CLASS INGAME; yes not even ONE.

When we do good in PVP it's all becose of 1 thing, Chain Stun. Now how to make a dwarf good in PVP is to basicly 'MAXIMISE* the effectiveness of Stun.

Now how to do it is quite simple, stun bigest weakness is that it disepere usualy after 2-3 hits, and what can we do to increse the odds on that, yes by using an 2 handed blunt who increse the damage per hit but hit slower. 1 handed blunt vs 2 handed blunt got basicly the same DPS over time, thers really no difference, The difference however is that the 2 handed blunt hit harder each hit but slower, and if you combine that with stun only lasting 3 hits each time you maximise the stun chans.

Thats basicly all you can do more or less, you can ofcorse also do +5 STR or +5 CON, I don't really favoruise +5 DEX in PVP as it dosnt add much, it just take a way a lot of HP or P.atk and add a few tiny % damage. Myself Prefer +5 STR and Tallum Heavy, the highest damage bonus armor you can get ingame.

Another fact that make 2 handed blunts good to is basicly running targes, you still gonna need to run as much, but you hit harder each hit.

Other usefull things is:

* Get a Bow, this is not a weapon you should use for main damage or even use most of the time but it's really usefull on running targets again, specialy if you expect htem not having much damage yet, or on sieges if your able to stand on walls hiting targets below for some decent damage, tehrs ofcorse some other usefullness like you being rooted and the stuff like that.

* Wrath works very well on heavy armor users, beside that don't bother use it, it's waste of time to eg use it towards a mage. Dosnt mater what spear you use for it, teh damage will always be the same.

* BH's is excelent crest ennoyer, and I meen it downright, we are the smallest chars ingame ( specialy if your a girl even smaller then the guys ) and can EASELY run up on the ramps, most won't even target you here and you can distrubt a crester of a castle, have done this for 20 min in a row, with tons of enemies in teh room, nobody even hited me ... ( beside being sleept a few times ).

* Small scale PVP, ignore trying to kill peopels, the absolut best thing you can do is try to find one of hte hardest nuking targets, or healer, and stun them, ( DO NOT HIT ) after this as your party gonna get good 8 second of that chars being completly inusable, Stun got an fair high chans on robe users to, around 40-60% stun chans from my tests.

Thers a lot of more things to say but thats about it. I recomend have an BSOE handy thoght :P
Seriously? Dwarves have 3 racial attributes. Any set-up would maximize those.
They have #1 hitpoints. They have #3 strength (behind orc and de). They have #1 carrying capacity.

They have a servitor available to them.

Increasing their patk would seem a reasonable approach. using their servitor when possible. Carrying a million CP and GHP/QHP's would seem a fair plan.

Then they get to die.

Stun by itself is kinda shaky imo. Hammer crush if it landed would be better approach to dealing injury plus stun. If you can spam pots and worry the other guy till golem is dead--maybe you survive a moment. as a not very strong melee who is slow---pvp seems like a tough path to choose.

If you're really good with those pots the archer has to hit you 5 times? And all the while he is running out of range of your stun? I don't see that working so well...........

GL with that!
For A grade as a WS

+5 STR -5 CON for tats
Tallum Heavy
Destroyer Hammer with the Haste SA
Always go in with your mech golem and beast shots, and don't forget the greater swift attack pots. Spam CP pots and you will have a chance if your lucky and your enemy ignores you at first because your just a dwarf.
Our dwarves don't do bad at all, especially in siege-scale PvP. They can hit pretty insane HP/CP levels, they can stun quite well especially against mage-types, and they can do their AOE CP removal skill. Stun is their best offense, though -- every target that is stunned and then ignored is effectively out of the fight for eight seconds. Eight seconds of no damage output or eight seconds of no healing can both be pretty damaging.

In sieges, dwarves tend to die much less than the rest -- they're pretty low on the target priority list which keeps them alive and able to deal quite a lot of damage before they eventually get taken out. Their carry capacity for pots also means they can keep their HP/CP up pretty well solo. PleChan has won a siege defense before by continuously stunning the crester.

To expand on Ple's suggestions, there are basically 2 methods:

1. DD setup. Tallum armor, -5 CON +5 STR tattoos. Here you have less HP but are taking into consideration the enemy probably won't target you. Your damage isn't fantastic, but it's decent. Aim for robes users; stun targets whenever you can and switch to a nonstunned target to attack; don't attack things you stun.

2. Massive soak setup. Doom armor (preferably +6), +5 CON -5 STR tattoos. Pack your dwarf full of as many CPP/QHP as you can. Here you deal about 30% less damage than you did on the DD setup, but you end up with 15 more CON and can soak a huge amount of damage. If the enemy actually attacks you, they'll be beating on you for a very long time, long enough for the rest of your party (who aren't taking damage because things are on you) to do their magic. Again, stun as often as you can. We once took an enemy flag without a single group member dying because Ple charged in first, and the enemy focused on him. Between pots and our healer he didn't even come close to death, and we took the flag pretty easily.

For weapon, although Meteor Shower w/ focus is the best sustained DPS, I'd recommend Doom Crusher w/ Health for PvP. 2H blunts give the best DPS when hitting moving targets, as well they can deal the most damage before stun breaks. The health SA takes already high HP and puts it in the crazy range. For a bow, Carnage with critical bleed would be the best for A grade for a dwarf -- really the SA's main importance is to get the PvP damage boost though.

Of course every setup should include a minimum of +3 jewelry of the best grade you can wear, unsealed if that's A or S grade. Overenchanted is even better. But really, that's pretty much what you want for any class.

If you do PvP with a dwarf, though, you need to go in realizing you're not going to be owning things. Your best contributions on the field are to stun the enemy, CP removal in groups of melees, and add extra damage on targets who look like they're in bad shape anyway. Oh, and we usually have our dwarf do the targetting for our focus firing, firstly because he's good at it, secondly because he tends to live the longest on average.

Winning 1v1 with a dwarf is possible against many classes -- it's mostly a matter of luck and soak. If the dwarf gets on a good streak with stun and chainstuns, he can do quite a lot.
Ok heres the real deal, i have been a dwarf from OB, i have no tats and wear nm heavy. I have not died once yet in game in a pvp (except 9 nukers on 1 dwarf) 1 on one ( I kill you all (well when alchofueled that is)) now fear my name.... ;)

i have seen several dwarfs own others.

you happen to have a video of this? and no, taking an A grader Dwarf to noob towns to "Own" does not count. That's the only time a Dwarf will own anything or anyone.

Then again, you can always take that dwarf to 75, Subclass to anything OTHER than a Dwarf, and play on your sub and claim you OWN people on your Dwarf.
this post makes me sad in my pants :(
actualy i ownd archer and we bought are like somewhere 34. That attacking PK noob just didnt have full d gear. So no need to say that dorfs are useles. I dont like pvp with dorf but if ppl are attacking i attack them to. An about 80% ppl hu are trying PK dorf think thats it is bot and weakly armored. So they are about same lvl.
So in real gameplay with artisan skills you should be faster eguipt with full grade gear and should atleast try kill thous PK noobs. I have doing it and won till now, or atleast they are running like they never dide.
Lv 3x PVP is not counted, in fact not below 60 at all, the game is not even balanced at the lower lv's.

At later lv's an dwarf won't even reach an archer to hurt htem, yes not joking here.

I am looking for a PVP setup for my Bounty Hunter lvl 70..

Maj Heavy, strider, any blunt, Fake Death :D
i like the +con NM hvy any blunt hp. especially for ws. u dont want to die with hog up.
Yeah shine, but then seige PvP setup would be a bit differant than trying to just go out and kill others in PvP. A warsmith in a seige that is using hog cannon or seige golem needs to stay alive long enough to get the doors and walls down.

I did make an A grade Orc with a bow BSOE once. I think I ran him out of MP and his buffs wore out trying to kill me. Then when he tried a regular soe my golem broke that so he used a bsoe. That was with a +con build and Doom heavy.

Cause a Dwarf's stuns are Soooooo useless in PvP. Why are some people so ignorant? Dwarfs are very useful in PvP, but mass PvP. This 1v1 crap, obviously not, but this game isn't about 1v1's. Dwarfs are very dangerous in sieges, and mass PvP, cause they have so much HP, no one wants to waste the MP killing them, but kinda sucks when they stun the [censored] out of your healers and mages.

And lets not forget warsmiths usefullness in PvP. Get a clue.
A Healer can easely wipe out a siege golem, all it takes is a single skill and it's gone.

Hog cannon up... who the HELL attack the dwarf then? Hog cannon have like 3k HP and LOL not much M.def 2-3 nukers can kill it with 1 nuke each.

WS have no part in the summoning things anymore due the massive nerfs in C5. Thers rumors that hte comming patch taht they will fix the erase problems but well see.

i go LOOKING for dwarves in sieges cause i never find one. i can blast him dead in a handful of shots before any stuns can get used if there even IS a dwarf on the other side.

i rarely see them cause TBH nobody needs a hateless, rootless, skill-less meatshield.

In a good party with full HP gear a 7x dwarf will have over 15,000 HP and 4800 CP (that's not counting chant of victory which would boost that HP by an additional 3000 or so). They can also carry more pots than any other class. They're killable but certainly not MP effective to kill. Compared to other fighter classes of equal level, their mdef is less but the difference is less than 10%. If they're geared for PvP soaking they won't fall down easily at all.

And, of course, in a siege there's the other group members to deal with. When the bishop does a % heal onto 15,000 HP, that's a pretty large chunk of healing we're talking about.

when i am in siege, i am a rooter.

i run around partyless rooting every attacker i see. usually it doesnt fail, and the countless archers and nukers on the top of the walls always bring 'em down.

after all, as a 52 nuker i cant do much but nuke without my sleep in a siege. but as a 52 SE i can root like the wind.
Yeah the reason why a dwarf want to have a bow, is just becose of root, sure it won't hit targets far away, but if your party less your sure not cordinate a single time with ANY other party about what target to attack so it's kind of a tad bit pointless.

And should quote what you wrote in another thread :P

im a pve guy. i dont pvp. ever. youll go red before i fight back.

And good luck, an 52 SE won't have that high chans on landing root on me, sure it can hapen but not likly.
15k HP? o.O I'm barely above 4k in doomsuit at 60... then again i have a +4str -4 con (yes yes, i know destroying the purpose of the doom suit but i wanted that suit cause it looks so **** good on a dorf.. and i lag too much swiming into cats that without kiss of eva i usually die :( so i got it for the breath gauge too, lol).. and no other tats.. and no health SA weaps.. i use a pole /critstun
Well, he was talking about SwS/PP buffs, +5 CON and a health blunt I think - basically the full twinked out HP build.
Ah, you meant you can own dwarves with a 52 SH.

Yeah, if the dwarves aren't resisting your magic they're probably 55 or lower. And yeah, most dwarves at those levels won't be prepping their character for PvP, especially as it's both costly and it's a nonoptimal PvE setup.

You'd be surprised at how many of the more casual players will go to level 60+ in an elven jewelry set. Of course nukers are gonna rip you a new one if that's all your defense.

If you're looking at a level 52 BH/WS, CON tattoos, doom armor, +3 Black Ore, B grade blunt w/health, B grade bow, HP/CP pots, and buffs, they're not gonna fall fast. With realistic buffs they can have 9000 HP, 2700 CP, and 800 mdef at level 52. With CoV they can break 10k HP, even at level 52, though of course not every party can realistically have a Doomcryer.
I do believe that PoF features the same boost.

Of course, I'm not sure there are even more Hierophants than Doomcriers, so... >.>;;;
well, i cant afford another weapon with SA health on not even tatoo's other than the one i have, lol, so i guess i'll never see that ammount of HP :)

I was using the following to calculate:

Level 75 Bounty Hunter with +5 CON and doom heavy (total CON: 53)

Base HP: 3374.6
CON modifier: 2.12
BtB6 (or equivalent): 1.35
Song of Vitality: 1.3
Health SA: 1.25
Boost HP 10: +480
Doom Heavy set bonus: +320

Total HP: 16,494 (9742 unbuffed, 7954 unbuffed and without health SA).

The health SA is widely available on many blunts. It's not unrealistic to assume there is going to be a prophet on the siege field to do BtB6 (or a bishop for Body of Avatar 6), and a swordsinger in your party is a good thing in any group PvP.

For your setup, Darth, if you switched from +4 STR -4 CON into +5 CON -5 STR instead (which is a bad idea to do at your current level from a PvE perspective, we're talking hypotheticals here) you'd be at 5500 without anything else. With BtB6 you'd be at 7312 and with BtB6 & Song of Vitality you'd be at 9300. You'd be at 11,500 with a health SA on top of the rest.

In theory you could go to +4 CON every time you sieged, then switch back after, though it's 1.7 mil ancient adena + hunting that stupid merchant every 2 weeks.
an 78 BH with S grade armor easely beat quite nice records, with CON setup you easely hit 15k HP with an SWS + Prophet at 78.

You also beat 1800 P.def and over 1700 M.def. But ofcorse thats with an Prophet + SWS ^^ sadl SWS is a bit to rare. Not to mention the 15k HP. P.atk is sure gimp but I doubht many players have hte manga nor intrest to kill yeah :P

I have full plans to go full CON setup at 78, but I see no reason for befor due the reason of slower leveling :P

(Prophet + SWS, an +6 S grade armor set = 2200 P.def for tehos who care :P )
In fact a level 78 BH can break 20,000 HP, Ple, in fact very close to 21000 HP, with that setup + Chant of Victory or Prophecy of Fire. You can hit 17k with just the prophet/swordsinger.
hmmm thanks for the idea Arigato, when/if i decide to get him high enough i may just do that sounds quite cool and at 75+ i could always enchant my golem up to do the dmg for me if need be, lol. I could see that actually be fun, lol
