An Event for the Newbies then :p... i'll be spending 150K on this event and thats almost 10% of my funds. i should be in B grade but alas, SH one of the worst classes for money making.

I wrote a page long reply as to how you are wrong about SHs being a bad money making class.... a lot of which was flaming. I deleted it.
Just know that you are wrong, and other non dorf classes would murder you if they heard you make this complaint.
Seriously. SHs are the hardest... most consistant hitting class... as well as the cheapest soloers in the game. At 6x I spend 550a per mob getting adena drops of 2-3k... all the while staying up longer than any other class solo.... while my SH on Franz is two shotting 5x mobs ( while still being 4x ) with the lowest C weapon... something that is considered amazing to any other class.
Since Mistryl asked about the quest lore in the "Heavy Medal" poll thread ...
Omega, a skilled and experienced fighter, has been captured by the leader of an undead legion of warriors. The leader of the undead has demanded a ransom for the return of Omega, and Omegas faithful servant has traveled to the villages of Aden and Elmore to gain support for the return of her master.
1. How does purchasing coffers with random loot help gaining support for the return of this guy? More than would selling the items within directly to the characters, anyway?
2. Who is this Omega, anyway? In all my travels in Aden and Elmore, I've never seen him (or her, if that happens to be a woman) or heard of him.
3. Where is this undead legion? Why can't we just fight it directly (a "conquer the land" type of event with fortifications and control points to siege and hold)?
Omega epitomizes hardcore. He once punched a hole in a cow to see who was coming up the road. He drives an ice cream truck covered in human skulls. He'd video tape himself sleeping with your wife, show it to you, and it'd be the most beautiful thing you ever saw.
LEGENDS OF =OMEGA= !
Okay no but seriously. His NCSoft Team bio says he's a Development Liasion. I thought he was a GM, maybe he's got more than one gig going on at NC.
I agree on the lore... the quest lore isn't bad, but it seems competely unconnected to any of the Lineage lore as a whole.
There are tons of characters whose stories are, at best, only marginally fleshed out. Some of the C4 quests (such as the Forest of the Dead series) provide interesting backstory, but it's pretty far from complete. Take, for example, Beleth. We know that Beleth was a necromancer, and that he (she?) would wage war in Gludio, where every fallen enemy soldier would rise up and become one of his army, and that this war resulted in the creation of the wastelands. Apart from other brief mentions, that's really about all of the backstory that's known. It wouldn't be that difficult to tie an event to Beleth, or the Windawood family, or any of the many less-important characters ingame. You could even pick someone really obscure, like the dude who runs the orphanage outside of Gludio, and tie him into the story. Bonus props if you were allowed to change his dialog during the event to tie in. I know the "Dark Lord" event had some tie-ins to Baium, which was nice.
Also -- why is it always cats? You have a lot more models in the game than just that, and it's a little odd that cats are always the event managers.

Dude, are you on the Herb? a SH is one of the best money makers there is in this game. If you dont know how to make adean with that toon, did you get get it?
This gives me an idea... Tonight on the radio I will make the following announcement :
OFFICIAL ANNOUNCEMENT :
It has come to our attention that some players were smoking the buff herbs that outdoor mobs drop. Players are asked to refrain from smoking the herbs, as this could be hazardous to your life.
This message was brought to you by Allwine, sponsor of the L2danceswithwolves.com site.
Listen tonight ! 3-6 AM Saturday morning ! That's midnight for the folks on the west coast !
Woah :o
Now, with this mask and the white one form the Epic Collection, i wouldnt know which one to choose from !
I guess i'll just wear both of them, every other day !
This game is turning into a fashion show :p
I'm glad its not just me that thinks the mask looks -_-
At least I know this is one event I can sit out, shame there aren't normal accessories to win though.
hmm. yet another event for people that have too much bloody money on their hands :(
I believe thats acually the point to this event, to create a money sink so big, it deletes alot of the currency circulating around on the servers at the moment.
The mass bannings was one way, this is thier back up plan, 50k a pop to take a shot at the gamble, id expect to spend alot more then 2 million adean in a hope to snatch up a stage 12, ive acually put aside 10 million adena myself to waste on this event in hopes i can get the Horns and new red mask at least, and i doubt ill even see a Stage 11 SA.
if theres no money circulating in the game, adena prices skyrocket, and market values go down.
ill be selling every item i have in order to sink it into these coffers. ill only pull 100m out of Devianne's economy, but in the long run i think my contribution would be worth it.
