Your best bet would be to try and get into a clan academy. I think that you are too high now to get the free armour, but once you graduate from the academy you get an item that you can sell for 250K and will be a good investment for c grade items.
Most guilds are looking out for academy members, but if i was in your position i would personally not join any of the big clans quite yet. Although academy members are not ment to be involved in clan wars, you will find that if you join one of hte larger clans that you will get pk'ed by people that are alot more powerful than you. And it will probably happen alot.
If you go to gludio or dion you will probably find people shouting for academy members, or you could try doing a shout yourself in one of these two towns and see who responds.

So my question is how can I join a Academy and were do i have to go or look for?
you can't sell the crown thing that your char gets when it graduates from the academy, or give it to another player/character. and the D grade armour you get isn't free, it costs771 D crys for light/robe set and a bit more for heavy. Not a bad set bonus off them though and it is quite cheap but once you leave the academy if you unequip that armour you won't be able to re-equip it.
Think theres quite a lot of lvl 5 clans looking for academy members atm but most just want them for the rep points, so the chances of getting into the main clan once you graduate are slim
If you are not in an academy, you cannot get nor ever wear Clan armor
If you are in an academy, you can wear it.
IF you were in an academy but left BEFORE graduating, you can wear it until it is unequiped. If you left before requiping it, you cannot requup it.
IF you graducate from the academy, you can wear it even at lvl 80. You can continue to un-equip and re-equip it several times.
You can also crush/trade the armour, but unless you are in or have graduated from the Academy you cannot wear the armour.
I think you can only re-equip it if you get into the main clan, or maybe another clan. if you graduate and are clanless and unequip the armour you can't re-equip it.
Or you can always give it to another character in the academy and they can use it.
