What happened to all the recipes for A grade helmets? It seems like everyone is crafting these days and after the craft is successfull they sell the helmets for irrational amounts of money..
Does anyone know where i can find a Sealed Majestic Circlet recipe (and the designs if you know) for i've been searching in Giran for the past few days with no result...
p.s.If anyone has one and wants to sell it to me(do it as a favor^^) my ingame info is at the sign :D :D :D
Drop the prices on the recs, and helmet prices will drop to. Im not paying 50m for a 60% chance to get a helmet. Let alone the fact I need to register one of my dwarf, then attempt a craft....
Thankfully my clans BH is more than happy to go spoiling for days on end to get these recipes. When we get extras we hang on to them usually, especially of stuff we are sure someone is going to need.
Well, if you aren't willing to offer a price that's at least in the ballpark of the profit one can earn by crafting and selling the helm, there's no incentive to sell the recipe, especially as the full helm will sell much faster.
E.g. a sealed majestic circlet is 5 million in mats + 1 recipe. The full helmet sells for 160 mil.
160 mil (final item cost) * 0.6 (item success rate) = 96 mil (effective value of the pre-craft materials).
Essentially, crafting majestic circlets and selling them would earn, on average, about 91m in profit per recipe consumed. If you could sell the recipe for exactly 91 mil, you'd earn the same by selling the recipes as by selling the helmet.
If people won't pay more than 45 mil, for example, then you earn double the money by crafting instead of selling the recipe directly.
When I price my A grade helmet recipes, I initially start the recipes at what would be a 20% profit margin for the consumer. That is, if they buy 5 recs from me, craft them all at average success rates and sell the final helmets, they'll make a 20% profit on their investment. In the case of the tallum recipe it would be 75 mil by that system. They'd spend 80m for a 60% chance, which equates to an average crafting cost of 130 mil. And my lower limit is where the customer's profit margin is 50%. If I can't get at least that much, it's much better to craft the recipe myself and sell the product.
E.g. a sealed majestic circlet is 5 million in mats + 1 recipe. The full helmet sells for 160 mil.
Well trying having all this profit is quite immoral isn't it?
In that way no player that isn't in a clan or ebaying is able to by that kind of stuff.. That's rubbish..
Well if someone has a rec and wants to help can pm me thx in advance :)

It's possible to get that much solo; the manor system can generate that kind of cash relatively quickly at those levels. I've never ebayed and I could afford it pretty easily, and that was just me and one friend working together.
Further, not in a clan when they're in A grade? The whole of the high-end game is clan-centered; I can't even fathom how someone would be clanless except temporarily at those levels.
And, if you can't afford it, you can always do the TOI quest and get a recipe for yourself, or make a bounty hunter and spoil one.
As to buying a second recipe for your warsmith -- use a private craft shop. Otherwise, if you do buy the recipe, run a private craft shop to recoup the recipe cost.
As to deliberately underpricing an item to help someone else -- would you ever message someone running a sell shop and offer to pay more than what they were asking, because you'd like to help them? I sell stuff every day, not once has anyone offered to pay extra to be helpful to me (and yes, it would be very helpful).
I set fair prices on every recipe I sell, where the people who buy will on average make a decent profit. I don't deliberately underprice things I sell anymore than you would deliberately overpay for something you buy. I don't think it's immoral to ask for a deal that's fair to both parties; if anything I'd say that's a **** sight more honest than asking someone to sell you an item far below its market value.
So I can craft em for my clan too, helm recs are almost only A grade crafts Im currently missing
Still you earn way more, example many stores can take as low as 100k for 1 A grade craft.
eg recipes is at least 30m
30m/100k = 300 CRAFTS!!!!! Yes 300 CRAFTS!
if they want 500k who's more common thoght thats still 60 crafts here for the same as 1 recipe cost.
If you so wana go and register one recipe to a dwarf just to craft it once it's your loss in cash.
Also now if you so much wana work for the clan how about requit a BH?, Thoght don't expect teh BH to work his *** out for the clan just like that either.
I hope no-one is still wondering why buying adena is going on and getting more popular.
You do of course realise that people buying adena = more money for legit players, too?
People will buy adena for cash no matter how easy the game is made. Have you forgotten already that plenty of people got to 75 with B Grade? Or are you one of those people who thinks it's impossible to have D at 20 with your own work?

Hello ? (looks up) Oh that's quite a high horse you have there. Don't have a go at me for stating a fact in a sentence that didnt even have your name in it. I play the game, i can't afford the top item in each range, so i dont have them, i make do with what i have, and i level just fine.
Go troll on the "the young people don't know when they've got it good" forum.
Look, a high horse: Please read before you respond.
I'm saying that this situation has nothing to do with whether or not people ebay - they will do it regardless of whether it's necessary or not. It's just the way some people think.

well, im selling a few on kain, and if people are willing to pay 60m+, im not gonna sell em for less tbh...
They are easy enough to farm, can get 2-3 a day quite easy, so if someone is unwilling to farm, or not able to get a bh to help, go dorfs.....
THis is amusing me. Im getting told, I shouldnt mind paying 40m for a recipe, and not to register one cause soemone else can craft it. I hope not everyoen thinks like hat, or its really gonan suck for crafting helms.
For starters, I am an alliance leader, and my crafter I go tto 62 for sake of crafting people's A for them. So it owuldnt be a 1 craft sort of thing. Second, recipes are now gotten for free. Yes it take shours of spoiling, but beast farm, spoils a hella lotta mats, so BH's are making a fortune out there anyway. Im not paying 40+ mil for a frigging recipe. What would happen if lets, say, the rec sold for 15m. I as of yet, havenet seen bots on my server at teh beast farm, so a dwarf, who spoils 1 in lets say 10 hours there, still gets a 15m profit. Not even counting everything else they spoiled out there. That seems fine to me, no reaosn a rec that now drops and spoils should go for half the cost of a helmet. Its free frigging adena. ive sold Maj boot recs and glove recs for cheap, because I know people need em. Hell, if rec prices on helms were dropped to 15m, helmet prices woudl be cut in half, problem is greed. People dont want to help other people out if you arent in clan. It annoys me to see people get an item, thats basically free, and sell it for a fortune.
Yeah :/ I guess I was just expecting to see the market "flooded" with them and the usual dropping of price along with it. I have the mats to craft a maj and DC helm since mid C3 but no recs :/
The Items is FAAAAAAAAR from free, do you realise how hard it is to begin with to pull up a BH to 6x range? Most have no clue, most never manage to get thers over 40 even.
Not only that, it's a BH's own skill they use up there to farm the recipes, they aint ment to be FREE for everyone, as someone else said befor, if you want the recs and refuse to pay, Reroll a BH and hunt them yourself, or do the quests.
The recipes will NEVER fall in cost specialy not befor peopels refuse to buy the complete helmets for the cost they curently go at. I've tried sell em as low as possible I refuse to go lower to lose cash example.
And yet again sure your clan may have WS, but since the introduction of craft shop the entire WS class is ebyoind nerfed, thers no point having high lv's of them except for sieges ( who as well in C5 got 100% nerfed and there summons can be erased in a second ) The only purpos for WS nowdays is truthfully just crafting mats. No offence but thats how bad it is.
Registering an 40m recipe example and the other giran crafters want 100k for it, meens he need to sit there and get 400 CLICKS befor he earns it back. You complain about hte curnet price and you expect to get 2 for htis? You earn a LOT on just crafting both recipes pay the 200k it wuld cost to do the clicks and if your lucky you get 2 insted of 1.
The recipes will NEVER fall in cost specialy not befor peopels refuse to buy the complete helmets for the cost they curently go at. I've tried sell em as low as possible I refuse to go lower to lose cash example.
And thats exactly what has happened, look around in a few other threads, this one included, most people just bank there A grade helmets now because no one is buying them.
Give it another month or two, i bet they come down dramactically.

So if you got a draconic bow drop, you'd put it in Giran for 15 mil because you want to be nice to other people?
And honestly, going to a place like beast farm and dealing with the bad XP (because of the stupid monsters training half the time instead of becoming 4x mobs) would NOT be worth it at all for a paltry 1.5 mil per hour -- a bounty hunter of those levels could spoil four times that elsewhere, with far less trouble and better XP to boot.
And again, you think I should sell things below market price to help others. How often do you volunteer to buy things above market price to help someone else? I do price my recs at 40 mil+, because in doing so both I *and* my customers will make a substantial profit -- a cost of 45 mil to craft a helmet worth 100 mil at a 60% chance is a good investment; your average craft cost is 75 mil so it's a 33% profit margin for you. You make an average profit of 25 mil on every recipe you buy.
In the end, though, I've already decided to stop selling recipes; they sell slow and I can make more profit crafting them and selling the helmets, which sell much faster. It also means I keep that 25 mil in profit per recipe.
Im aware of how hard it is to level BH's. I have a 50+ BH, and a 60+ WS. I almost always party the 70+ one in my clan. However, you need to be roughly, level 65 to get the right level to spoil them. It is not right, to have prices stay the same, just so you can make an extra 120m a day instead of making only 45m profit. Iv eben out ot beast farm, Ive seen everything that posils. You will make a frigging fortune anyway. This game's gear is hard enough to get, instead of jacking up the cost of recipes an insane amount. Basically, you spoil an averag eof 1 rec every 8 hours or so? Average about, the pries you are charing is on par with full drops. You are charing that price for a chance of getting an item. It annoys me. You STILL make a HUGE profit by selling them at 15m. Its simple greed, Im tired of the, my life is hard cause im a BH or a WS. Yes, both classes are hard to play and hard to level. They arent that frigging bad though. They both do well money wise, but with all teh A recs spoiling and stuff now, prices havent moved. Because BH decide that since its hard to level, they can fleece everyone else on server for recipe costs.
Im going to repsond before I get flamed, (for the levels anyway) for my dwarves levels, I used to have 2 high levle ones before I had quit long ago as wlel, and dwarves, until my BD had pretty much always been my mains
The money at beast farm isn't all that good except from the recs, and even if we sold at 50 mil each we wouldn't be earning much by being there, certainly not enough to justify the 50% reduction in XP speed. To get the recipe you need to spoil very specific forms of very specific monsters, and the other spoils of those monsters are garbage (crafted leather, asofe, b grade key items). When recipe farming we ignore everything else just to make it go faster.
Not sure where you think people are earning 120 mil per day unless you mean 120 mil for each 24 hours of grinding, in which case I'd say that's pretty mediocre profit.
And again, paying 45 mil for a 60% chance of a 100 mil item is a good investment; if you make that investment many times, you'll on average earn 33% profit. I don't think that price is unfair at all -- on average you're saving 25 mil on a 100 mil item by buying from me. In my book, that's a good deal for you, and the profit to me is only about 15% higher than we could get hunting in other areas, and we're taking a 50% XP drop to do it. The deal you want would make each craft earn a 200% profit margin (paying an average of 33 mil for a 100 mil item), and that's simply not gonna happen. Nobody's gonna sell that low when they could craft it and earn three times the money.
That's the main reason I've decided not to sell recipes anymore. The profit's too low to be worth the effort; there are places that spoil almost as much per hour and give double the XP of beast farm. We'll get recipes for our own use or clan use only; beyond that it's not worth the trouble, unless they ever change it so that if you already have a trained beast, none of the other beasts will train for you. If that change was made the recipe per hour rate and the XP per hour rate would both double.
As to helm prices crashing: I doubt that. There are simply far too few dwarves spoiling helmet recipes in comparison to the demand for helmets. The prices will fall, yes, but not by that much. I think in the end recipe prices will probably stabilize at about 30 mil for bottom A, 40 mil for top A.

120m in aday.... mediocre? ****. If you did spoil all the mobs, you also get alot of A grade mats. And regular stuff like asofe and CL sells decent as wlel overall. The exp loss up there, isnt that horrible.
Currently on my server, recs are going for aobut 40m. Tal helmets are anywhere form 75-120m depending on who is selling them. On a helmt, if I fail 1 craft, it would have been cheaper ot buy helm outright. On a paif of gloves, I could fail 5 crafts before balancing out. That part of it seeems off to me. And Im not trying to craft helmets for my personal profit. Im crafting for clanmates, and since the bots had pwned our server, we dont have jack for BH except our 70+ ones and our -50 ones.
Well, in defence of the "greedy dorfs", if i spoila rec after 7-8 hrs hunting, and then i go to town, set up a shop at 50-60m a rec, and someone buys it, im gonna sell it for that until no one does anymore.
If no one buys em, then the price is too high, and i have to think about reducing it.
I dont see any reason to sell something cheap because someone needs it, however when people come farming recs with me they also get free recs, and so massive profit or cheap helms.
If u dont like the prices, like someone else said, party a spoiler or make one yourself, or failing that dont get a helmet.
No one forces you to buy the rec at that price.
And it is about time that there is something that a spoiler is wanted for afte so many chronicles of only getting invited to make up numbers.
120 mil for 24 hours grinding is mediocre; spoiling other A recipes (not helmet) and enchants can earn 6 mil or so per hour grinding.
If you did spoil all the mobs, you also get alot of A grade mats.
Not in all areas of beast farm; the area where you can get Tallum/DC helm recipes has only B grade key item spoils.
And regular stuff like asofe and CL sells decent as wlel overall.
I could get them far faster on manor than spoiling them. Heck Asofe is one of the FOD quest rewards, and I have like 6000 zombie liver by now.
The exp loss up there, isnt that horrible.
If you need the 4x forms, it is. Half the monsters you feed will give 0 XP. IF they made it so a beast will not become trained if you already have a trained beast, then the XP would be about the same as comparable level hunting grounds. As it is, I get about 1.2% per hour there instead of 2.5% elsewhere.
Currently on my server, recs are going for aobut 40m. Tal helmets are anywhere form 75-120m depending on who is selling them. On a helmt, if I fail 1 craft, it would have been cheaper ot buy helm outright.
40 m + 5m in items = 45 mil cost to craft
45 mil / 60% = 75 mil average craft cost.
So, if the helmet was worth 75m you'd exactly break even on average -- that is, if you made many of the helmets, you'd exactly break even by selling them.
If the actual cost is closer to 100 mil, then you're earning a 33% average profit by crafting. In fact if you consider 100 mil to be the average price, then even buying recipes at 40 mil, you earn money as long as you succeed in fewer than three tries -- which is an 84% chance. It's gambling, yes, but here the odds are in your favor not the casino's.
On a paif of gloves, I could fail 5 crafts before balancing out. That part of it seeems off to me.
Me, too, as obviously someone is selling the gloves way overpriced if you could earn a 400% profit by crafting them. I'd recommend crafting gloves and selling them if they're really that big of a margin.
And Im not trying to craft helmets for my personal profit. Im crafting for clanmates, and since the bots had pwned our server, we dont have jack for BH except our 70+ ones and our -50 ones.
It's still personal profit if you keep the item. If I spend 75m to craft a helm for myself that goes for 100m, I've earned a very real 25m -- I received a 100 mil asset for a 75 mil investment. I have 25 mil more adena than I would if I'd bought the item directly.
Well, in defence of the "greedy dorfs", if i spoila rec after 7-8 hrs hunting, and then i go to town, set up a shop at 50-60m a rec, and someone buys it, im gonna sell it for that until no one does anymore.

Have you noticed, that the spoilers are saying... not worth selling recs since they dont sell well. There's your price problem.
If u dont like the prices, like someone else said, party a spoiler or make one yourself, or failing that dont get a helmet.
And it' s this exact attitude that has driven everyone to roll a WS or a BH (some do both) as 2nd and 3rd tunes to support the main char financially..
Don' t you ever wonder why Giran is filled of dwarves? Of course they are not all mains..
Greed is all over the place..
Oh and Arigato i wouldn' t pm someone with a shop to pay him more just because i want to help.. If he needed more money he would have charged more in the first place.

Why Giran is filled by dwarves is becose of one reason, most is lv 1 there to btw.
This is the reasons:
*Can Hold 100 items ( others have 80 )
*Can hold much more items aka weight
*Have biger WH space 120 insted of 100
*Can buy/sell more items at a time.
So why do you THINK most have dwarves sitting in giran ? LOL it's not becose most play em, it's just that they are excelent chars for buying/selling with and store items.
I also wuld like to have an explonation why real BH's should go around and give items away just for free so others can gear themself up just like that? As thats seems to be the atitude in this thread.
Dwarves need more cash then other classes, I may explain why, becose this is the only way we can compeitit in PVP, by having massively OE'd gear and so fort, sadly thers another problem who caused us to not have this adventage but it dosnt belong here. Thats also what our class is for.
Alright, then, better analogy. You are in Giran and see two shops, selling the same item, which you're gonna buy. One is selling for 20% more than the other. Would you even think about buying the more expensive one just to be helpful?
If you're like the rest of us, you'll buy from the cheapest price you can find a seller at. As would I. And I'll sell at the highest price I can find a buyer at. If I can't find a buyer at a price I'm willing to let go of the item for, I won't sell at all, just as you won't buy if you can't find a price you're happy at.
Have you noticed, that the spoilers are saying... not worth selling recs since they dont sell well. There's your price problem.
I think they're not worth selling recs because the price you need to set in order to move the recipes in a realistic time puts your profit per hour so low you're better off not selling. If I can craft the recipes and sell for 3 times as much as I could sell the recipes for, why on earth would I sell the recipes? And if I can earn four times as much cash spoiling enchant scrolls/other recipes in a different location, why should I hunt at beast farm?
IMO there are really only two reasons to sell recipes at all:
1. the recipes require a large value of items apart from the recipe (e.g. weapons)
-or-
2. I have a lot of recipes and the recipes will sell much, much faster than their crafted items (e.g. jewelry) so I can get rid of a large number of them without spending months in shop.
A grade armor recipes in general aren't all that good to sell. Most of the cost is in the recipe, not the additional items, they are generally not something you ever get a whole lot of, and the full pieces sell as fast or faster than the recipes.
So far I've either given my A grade helm recipes away (to clan), crafted them, or bartered them (traded two helm recipes for a very rare top A weapon).
Give away for free ?!
No
Charge an outrageous amount for a recipe? That's where my problem is. And you dont "have" to have OE weapons. You arent maded for pvp regardless. Oh, a WS can do alright pvp, but they aremt made for it. As far as damage goes, my 73 BH friend is geared for damage, and he does just fine with his elysian. If I didnt OE my duals tht much, his damage would overall be similar to mine. You have a monoply on teh helm rec market, and becaus eof ebay, you are still getting your prices. Personally, I wont pay them. It's ridiculous to charge that much for a recipe. Period. Especially when you are getting that many of them. An dno, Im not oging to reroll a BH, and lose my main so I can make a helmet rec without paying a fortune for it.. Thats a stupid thing to say.
There's no monopoly on the helm rec market. Go do the TOI quest like we all did before there were spoilable helm recipes.
Considering the alternative, and how much you'd be paying for the blueprints for a CHANCE at the recipe, I think 40m is a pretty good deal for not needing to do the quest.
Ahh, I see. I shoudl do a horrible quest, to get an item that now spoils. And prices are same as before when it wa sonly the quest. Shouldnt prices have dropped with teh new way sof getting the helms. Actually, ironically, I paid less for my Tal helm prior to the recs dropping as they are now.
Prices will drop when everyone refuses to buy stuff for high prices. Simple supply and demand. They price A helms over 100mil because people are paying that for them. The majestic helm I crafted for my clan's bishop cost us about 4-5mil but I got lucky and crafted it on the first attempt too.
Prices on Lionna went down considerably, by about 1/3rd since C5 released. Prices were low in late C3/early C4 because there was a large supply from raid boss drops and few people buying A at that time. Raid boss drops got nerfed, more people bought A grade, prices rose.
Helm recs spoiling did drop prices but not far. There are very few able to spoil them and still very high demand on helms.
And if a BH is just supposed to accept they're not made for PvP, maybe you're just not made for getting cheap gear ;)
Give away for free ?!

I just charge what the server is paying, it's not my falt peopels ebay, I haven othing to do with it, never had, and never will.
OE'd gear and any class can PVP beter then ever befor, did you knwo an 78 BH with Prophet + SWS and +6 S grade armor set got 2200 P.def 16k HP and over 2000 M.def, thats what cash can do.
I got no plans to charge less for items without a single reason. Only reason why I wuld lover price of any item is when it's over prised, have done that with items alredy, after all I own the entire Majestic Yelery recipe market on Lionna :P thx to me the prices have gone down with 40% and now about where the market pays for it.
Go do the TOI quest like we all did before there were spoilable helm recipes.

That's the part at which we agree, for i've started the quest and even buying the blueprints i'm missing is much much cheaper than buying the rec even at 30 mil..

A full set of blueprints only gives you approximately a one in six chance for the recipe, I believe.
Arigato & Duroon are right. Prices are not set by the sellers (Bounty Hunters, dwarfs or whoever). Prices are set by the market, by supply and demand.
Where the supply meets the demand curve, there is the price. If items are priced lower than that, they sell instantly and you never see them. If items are priced higher than that, they do not sell and they sit there.
If the supply increases then more items are offered for sale and prices go down as sellers try to sell them. If supply decreases then some buyers are willing to pay more and the prices go up.
If demand increases then the buyers 'bid up' the prices and they rise. If noone wants the item (demand decreases) then sellers lower the prices and prices fall.
The inflation (ebaying) gives the buyers more money so they bid up the prices and prices rise. Ebaying causes higher prices. Whether you believe it or not, it is true.
The increased supply of helm recs in C5 (from spoiling) has increased supply, but the higher number of players reaching A grade has also increased demand. When people purchase accounts with botted, high level toons then this increases the demand for helms and prices are again pushed up. This form of cheating (ebaying accounts) also causes higher prices...whether you believe it or not, it does.
Therefore, the market sets the prices, supply and demand. The cheating bids UP prices in several ways. While cheating is not the only cause of high prices, prices are higher because of cheating. If you know anyone who cheats, please try to convince them not to since They Cause Higher Prices.
I'd also say that inflation is built into the game, at a fundamental level that is accelerated (but not caused) by ebayers.
In the long run, materials are removed from the game -- when you craft an item, regardless of success, the materials go poof. Items themselves go poof on crystallization or overenchant failure; the crystals go to shots.
Adena is removed too but at a much, much lower rate than it is added (most of this is from soul/spirit ore and GK fees). Most of the adena that enters my characters comes from other players, and most of the adena that leaves my characters goes to other players. If you looked at the total amount of adena on the whole server, it pretty much has been rising continuously since the game started, while the mats will rise but at a much slower rate.
The fact the total monetary base keeps increasing, and increases faster than the materials it can buy, makes inflation inevitable. Ebay makes this happen at a much faster rate -- bots pump both adena and materials into the market at a faster rate than the normal players, but in the same ratio. Given a longer time the legit players would have had the same net effect.
Yup, the game doesn't have significant adena sinks - the farmers in so far don't really change anything about inflation that they always bring the same (or a better, thanks to their many spoilers) ratio of mats vs. adena into the economy.
The economy is also self-fixing though, thanks to high-demand items being craft/spoil/raid only and thus having floating prices - market values go up, so do profit margins for people playing the market, and thereby there is actually not more effort involved in this type of situation than if things weren't inflated.
On a positive isde note, inflation does wonders for people outfitting themselves in N, D and C Grades, who are dependant on store prices and can thus profit from the inflation without falling to its higher prices.
It'd be nice if there were permanent effective money sinks, but it wouldn't change much.
