Gladiator and Dragonslayer...

Hello everyone!
Thought I ask about an idea i have had.
So I was thinking about my upcoming Agrade weapon and i had a thought.
This is strictly PvE and nothing more.
What about using a Dragons slayer.

1: I hit harder each hit that means less *** use

2: My MP runs out so fast that i cant hunt long with my skills so perhaps only using Fatalstrike instead. Less MP use and more dmg then triple slash.

3: looks dame cool.

and btw i got masteries for sword weapons.
Why would you waste SP on Sword/Blunt masteries? Just stick to duals. Dualist Spirite = Win
a lot of players use dragonslayers just for the look. i say go for it! :)
Well im a gladi and i dont use skills in PvE. It's useless for the mp costs they have. The way to go in pve is tsu*sls +4 ( well A duals also work, but not as much ) and use warcry + DS ( when you get it ) + VS. With +4 STR tat only ( no AA for +4 dex yet >.< ) and a sws + bd on ToI 10 you can crit for around 1k per dual and have a crit around 250'ish. And your mana will be enough for around 10-15 minutes to use VS without stoping it ( abit more if you bother turning it on/off ). For comparsion TSS with 6 charges does around 1.9-2.5k dmg on ToI 10 angels, wich is not worth for the 147 mp it costs. And fatal strike is not as good as it sounds :)

My suggestion is to stick to duals :)
I guess its up to the SA but gladiators are meant to use duals so I say utilize it. But there are a few glads on my server who uses 2 handed swords in pve and it seems fine. But remember...sonic rage needs duals ^_^

Temporarily increases Two-Sword Weapon Atk. Spd. and ordinary/skill attack damage when in PVP. Effect 1.

This is the description for duelist spirit

When In PvP

its a PvP skill and OP said PvE strictly

Yea you get swordmasteries but do they affect 2hands? if they do, go for it! it would look hella cool anyway! :)

Well as the sonicrage is a lvl 78 skill i will put that out of calculation for now :D
And btw do not 2hWeapon has more crit rate then Duels?
Duals you only use one shot for 2 swings...

Just get +10 Kesh*Kesh and go kill stuff! :P

Ok but seriously...

Go with duals! You don't need to keep spamming your skills when you pve. Just use some self buffs, and Duliest Spirit. Try to kill mobs that you have detect weakness abilities for.

Gladiators were pretty much designed for duals.

Best PvE setup is +4 STR +4 DEX -8 CON for Tatoos.

Dragon Slayer is Skexy tho...but if you wanted that you should have went Destroyer, or hell even a Sword Singer.
sword blunt masteries only apply for one handed swords. Two handed swords have their own masteries. I am level 71bd and use +11 nightmares and never have to buy SS.

In PVP it does extra damge and all that good stuff. In PVE it only gives 4% atk speed and lvl 2 duelist spirit is 8%. So yah, why not utilize it in PVE.
Ah, i must have missread the description or/and it needs some changing. I stand corrected.

sword blunt masteries only apply for one handed swords.

Are you 100% sure; becuse i have heard that Destroyers is the only class that has 2 masteries for there weapon.
Sword/blunt and 2H swords - meaning they are stakeble...

WRONG

Sword/Blunt Masteries apply to all Swords and Blunts. Both the one handed and two handed versions.

Thus a Gladiators Masteries apply to the 2 Handed versions of those weapons as well as the 1 handed versions. So feel free to pull out a Dragon Slayer or Hammer of Destroyer and wack away if you like the look.

(Hell, Dwarves don't get anything but Blunt masteries and I still see plenty of them running around with Duals.)

Orc Destroyer's 2 Handed weapon masteries stack on top of the regular weapon masteries and add only a tiny bit of Patk and some accuracy. (Like most skills it adds the most w/the first level of the skill) The accuracy is what really makes 2H swords worthwhile for Destroyers. (High STR and CON. but Low DEX/Acc )

You may be thinking of DUAL swords. For those only DUAL sword masteries and General weapon masteries apply.

[2 Handed Swords] ARE NOT THE SAME AS [Dual Swords].
sword/blunt masteries work with two-handed swords too and the two handed sword masteries stack with them.

There is a new Ag two hander with focus (Infernal Master w/ stg 11 Blue gives +61 to crit. rate) if you are just going for PVE. I think it looks nice too but it is boring compared to the dragon slayer (it looks like a fairly normal sword).

Got a picy for me to see?
I am going to test this when I get home. Frankly I dont believe they would have two handed sword masteries if they just stacked with one handed masteries. Especially since they dont do that with any other weapon in the game. Not to mention dual masteries are swords and sword masteries dont stack with them.

Testing to commence in a few hours, I have all weapons needed.

Of course dwarves use duals, they should use two handed for max damage because blunts suck and their crit rate sucks so having 0 sword masteries is still better than 50 blunt masteries and blunt weapon.

This has been covered in depth before.

2H Masteries were added to the Orc Destroyer class in Chronicle 2. You can think of them as the Orc equivelant of a Bladedancer or Gladiator in weapon specializing. And being a seperate skill isn't that far out there, it's the DD equivelant of a Knight's Shield skills if you will. Adding accuracy and patk instead of shield blocks when a 2H weapon is used.

Dualsword masteries are NOT sword masteries. Ever since Prelude, Dualswords have been in a class all their own. Only general masteries and the specific Dualsword masteries work with them. Duals tend to make up for the lack of masteries by having a higher base patk. (And to make up for the lack of being able to use a shield with them in some cases.)
