the movie is funny, but notice how the it features lineage2
lifestyle (dont sleep, level hard). they took 3 weeks to make 50
levels, in about 2 weeks playing relaxed you make the 60 level
cap in wow actually.
also, they never show horde, the pvp there is pretty much like
in lineage2, all vs. all. they used wow to make that south park
episode because it's the most widely known mmorpg in
english speaking countries (yeah nc does no marketing of
lineage2 anymore).
the movie is about the hardcore pvp mmo games actually, and
depicts how players live their life with it.

Though I've had a Wow character since the game came out and he is a mighty lvl 27.
Depends on how casual you mean. I have no doubt that it takes relatively little time to max out compared to L2 though.
I find it funny how WoW players are pointing out the inconstistencies, that they are alliance instead of horde (which is totally hilarious. Just because the kids are mischevous doesn't mean they see themselves that way! Also, I've heard a lot of younger players choose alliance but don't know if that is true) that Alliance killing Alliance must be consensual (some of them obviously missed the point).
And you are right. They picked it because it is the most popular mmo around. But mostly because there is a wider audience who plays it. Many people who have never played WoW have heard of it.
All my friends have heard of it. When they make mention of the game I really play (lineage 2) they turn to me and ask "what is that game you play? Lin... lan.. something?" :p

They were killing boars which only give 2 experience a peice. Did you like skip half of the movie?

No, actually the movie is about what happens when World of Warcraft comes to South Park.
I take it this is the first South Park episode you guys have ever seen...
They picked WoW because its more popular the Lineage 2.
Hell, if NC did a little advertising now and then people would know what it is.

Its South Park, not a documentary on MMORPG's.
Just igmaging the act of them killing boars for 2 Xp a piece is like you killing Eply to get to 78 Oo, and the sword of thousand truth is Pk sword lol
Are you familiar with the whole satire thing? They are absolutely making fun of obsessive gamers ie hardcore mmorpg playing. Hence the line about being outside when you could be at your computer doing something.
That sword actually exists in WoW. Its Called "Hungering Cold" and its uber sword for tanks. Drop from the last boss (KelThuzad) from Naxxramas floating necropolis.
