We completed Baium the other day in about 2 or so hours with maybe 100 people. Baium is way harder than ever especially when he hits 1/2 or less life, takes out 20+ people in some hits at the same time. Used to be able to do baium with 4 or so groups in an hour or less. Now the thing that I was sort of hoping for about 1/2 way thru killing him was an improved drop list. Baium has never been known for a good drop list, ring or maybe some random weapon. The drop list after the raid the other day included, a ring.. 1 freeking ring. Baium I would say is probably as hard or close to as the old C4 Antharus and I just dont understand why the drops were not adjusted to equal his new C5 strength. C4 he was pretty easily done and the drop list made sense.
Just curious if anyone else has done Baium in C5 and what you thought about his lack of a drop list vs how hard he is to complete compared to C4.
BTW his 6300 non crit 1 hits are a ton of fun, and I was on my 76 Sagittarius Sub top armor/jewelry.
ya, that would suck just for a ring, at least you got a ring. I do admit, C4 it was to easy for 700m or what ever the ring was selling for. Does seem like the drop rate needs to be ajusted a lot. Like an A weapon and a coulpe B, then some armors and other jewls thrown in. Also a chance for S weapon and armor would be nice. Needs more of a this will drop item if it is so hard and takes so long.
Farmers use to do Baium in 30 mins in C4. You'd think the drop list would be adjusted with all the bosses getting a boost but from what I've seen it's even worse. ie: a level 70 boss dropping avadon robe fabrics.

Dont forget you get to lvl crystals to 11 or 12 on him too.
Here is a replay of the event. It is broken into 3 different replays, max time is 30 minutes I believe on each. The 1st one is a tad boring to start cuz of the waiting around time. The 1st one also ended and I had not noticed so time is missing on that one.

unzip the file and put them into your "replay" folder inside your lineage2 directory.
I will admit there was a group or so of lower level people there but the majority are higher level players and thinking back it prolyl took 1.5 hours. When you see the large groups dying, mostly in the 2nd video, the dmg was 6-13k each on each of them.

2 groups ... so basically 1 of his lightning specials can take all of you guys out at the same time, i find it really hard to believe, maybe if everybody loses like half their level.
everyone at our raid is generally 76+ so maybe that's the difference I guess.
By your comments I can only assume more you havnt done him in C5. He is not kitable like he was in C4, most of the problems we had is because of that. He does not generally go after the archers like he used to. Why dont you watch some of my replays and you will see we had more than 2-3 groups of high levels and how easy it is to kite him around.
You used to be able to take Baium down in less than 40 minutes with a little more than two groups. Now it's a drawn out event with little in return. The ring drop seems gimped too. The last time people on our server did it, they didn't even get a ring.
Less rewards, longer raid time. Sounds like NCsoft.........

I could see 2 groups taking him.. besides his AoE attack his physical attacks don't hurt that much any destro in the group should be easily able to tank him or his angels.
might take a while.. assuming one group is out of range of the AoE when he does it (frenzying) and a mass wipe doesn't occur u should be fine.
