Since no offical reponse is coming from you with me posting in that forum maybe you can explain to me how you going to do deal with thousands of people not being able to log on when the new patch comes out even after being warned for almost 2 weeks there are many people who get the same problem logging onto the PTS and its a server side issue.
Ive done full checks deleted my system and gameguard folders sent you my system specs and still no offical response from NCSoft.
Care to tell me why this is probably the worse support i ever experience so far in this game? I log in select my char and pop up in rune with a System box in the middle screen with no text in it just 2 dots and i cant move the camera cant type cant use any of the options and if i hit the ok in the box it D/Cs me.
I can see how not being able to play the game at all is a minor problem but maybe its time you think about fixing it before it goes to the live servers?
You ALWAYS have an IP, no matter if it's dial-up, ADSL, T1, cable, satalite or whatever.
the renew and release command is something you write from your windows command interface.
eg. load command interface in win-XP, write "cmd"
and then write "ipconfig /release" and then write "ipconfig /renew"
I can login fine to the PTS, but when i get to my toon who is ingame, i only see my toon and cannot do anything. There is a box with 2 dots on it, and an OK button. Only option is to press OK, then the game closes down. :p
trizie Dialup users dont have an IP it just resolves back to the host company with no destination. If you want to know who was using the dialup service at that time you have to call the company and they have to pull up their connection logs and see who was in that port at that time.
Because no 2 times you connect using dialup will you ever have the same number. Someone else will be using the port you were using last time you connected. Hope that makes more sense.
And why wouldnt i play the pts on dialup? I been playing l2 since 2004 on dialup 2,3 and one time 4 boxing.
Well, the patch is scheduled for tomorrow, so with any luck they fixed this issue by that time. NCSoft doesn't give any info though, so I wouldn't expect an answer until the "*(&% hits the fan", or things go smoothly. Whatever happens though, It will more-than-likely get fixed sooner or later. It could also just be a simple issue with the PTS. If I remember correctly the PTS server and the live servers have a lot of differences. I guess we will know tomorrow eh?
