Was doing some exploring and saw this structure in the distant. When I got close, I was surprised to see a huge turtle shell with building like development on top of it. Under the shell was a raid boss, and nothing else. Any idea as to what this is and how this is connected with the lore. It definetely is a very cool looking place to see.
There are two of these in the swamp. One to the North and one to the south-east. They used to be the only place you could find the red ants needed for several quests. Those ants are outside now, still near the structures tho.
There are actually two of those shells. One in the North West corner of Cruma Swamps and one in the South East. They are actually visible on the mini-map, as blobs. I think I remember one of the NPC's in the nearby towns or tower itself talking about giant turtles that used to be around Aden. From the structures I would guess they were probably used by the same Giants that built Cruma. I allways wished they would put some rooms to hunt in up there. Contested clan halls would be cool too. (Like Fortress of Resistance.)
There should be a quest or something (and if there is I wonder what it is called) that actually involves those shells. I remember that we used to meet under there for Gludio sieges.
I'm not clear on what the structures upstairs look like. But if they are sizable then perhaps a way to get up there?
You can't get up there without a wyvern, not that you can do anything once you're up there. I'm thinking about doing a movie about Cruma tower just because it's so cool, may include the turtle shells

Cruma is in the shape of a giant turtle and is one of the genesis creatures created at the beginning with the gods. There are various types of genesis creatures in addition to Cruma. In fact, the Worldtree in the Elven Forest is also one of the genesis creatures. And the other genesis creatures will also make their debuts one at a time with the progression of episodes in Lineage II.
The Giant Tower had a lot of strong power while being prepared for battle with the gods at the end of the Titan Era, but Cruma, which was in the shape a peaceful creature, was a laboratory used in an attempt to change it into a battle fortress. Core is a creature like a main computer that controls the entire laboratory. The titans were destroyed, but the ruins of the titans remain here, and they are performing some functions. What could Core be thinking about in the deep places of Cruma Tower?... That's something nobody can know.

on a sidenote though to the OP, yes there's a history to those two turtle shells, hidden around in the history of the giants, i used to remember exactly what parts it was but i dont anymore though, sorry, anyways do searches among the giants history and you'll find something i'm sure
