Frozen Labyrinth area - Pronghorn (57)

I have been hunting the Pronghorn (57) but when I attack it, it spawns into 6-8 mobs...

Is there a special way to stop it spawning into the Pronghorn Spirit (56)..

In the Frozen Labyrinth to stop the Frost Buffalo (61) from spawning, you shouldnt use skills on it.

What is the trick with the Pronghorn?

Don't use any of your skills on it. It will stay as one, but the moment you use a physical attack skill, it splits.

The only way to stop it from going into 6 to 8 is to never use a skill on it.

Nasty surprise isn't it? a HE on the pts (Pinky) kept saying it split but I was like get out I've never seen it (SH). Then on live I had someone use a dagger special on it and hello!! 8 mobs and we all fall down ><

Are all the mobs there like that? Or do you have to bring a whole party if you want to go there?

Most of them are either group or splitting. The place is good for a polearming BH with a healer. Pronghorn Spirits spoil EAB and lots of Varnish.

if you not planing to use phisikal skills you can solo there
or duo (~lvl 55)

the pronghorn as well as the frost buffalo split if you use special attacks on them. however, the mobs spawned when they split don't drop the spellbooks, so you'll need to keep them whole if you're attempting to farm them for those.

A sps or SH can solo any group mobs that don't split, easy, I've done it 55-60ish. I don't even think either class can make the ones that split do it anyway
