Hehe inspired by the post above ;)....... me and my ladyfriend started playing L2, and now we're coming towards level 20... I am a Dark Fighter, she's a Dark Mystic...
She wants to become a healer...
I am still unsure what path to take :|... As we're going to level together I think I should perhapse choose the best class to compliment it.. but I dont know which one ;)
Qu 1. What DE class, SK, BD, AW or PR would level fastest with a healer?
Qu 2. Which of these classes has highest DPS now and later on in game? ;)
Qu 3. Which of them are best for PvP later on?
I have been looking at all the skills and paths on the site really, but you know... the skills have the most basic descriptions haha, I really dont know whats good and whats not... :(

In all reality a Spell howler would have been the best...
But for fighter either a Blade Dancer or Abyss Walker would be the best since those are the classes that would take advantage of the Vampiric Rage Spell the best.
Who as better at PvP between the two...hard to say...it all depends on how you plan on PvPing. Blade Dancers are usually more for support and are highly underestimated. The dagger may be slightly better if you are looking forward to a lot of 1v1. But I would find a BD more useful, just for the very fact that with a Carnage Bow they do good ranged damage, plus their dances help GREATLY.
sooooo... is there a reason why the hunter option isnt so good? hrrm... i love the look of the bows but.. duno how well they'd be and what their strengths are :o
The Shillien Oracle/Elder get a spell that allows fighters to regenerate damage done with plain melee hits - it doesn't work with spells, skills or bows. The spell is fairly powerful in helping maintain HP, which is why daggers are simply nicer for it.
i think you should do dagger, because your ladyfriend will get some skills like focus and death whisper that will allow a dagger to do critical dammage like frenzy :), added the value of vampiric rage, i think dagger is a good choice
If you insist on staying with a DE fighter, going BD or AW will be the best duo combination with a SO/SE. Both will level very fast. The abyss walker does very good damage and benefits greaty from VR buff. The BD also does very decent damage and has his dances which increase damage even further (and if you ever want to group up with other people, the combination of buffer/healer and BD will cover all the bases for a good party).
For pure lvling speed, a SH would have been best, though. The SO/SE gets two skills, empower and recharge, which make that class perfect for duoing with a nuker. It does not get much better than SH+SE for a duo.
if you want to duo with a SE most dmg classes are good, but i got to aggre with BD or AW as the best DE fighter class to duo with. got a 59 Se as main and I love being in a BD and AW duo. SK just kill to slow, and PR is ok, they do good dmg, but they get to low con and def/eva so when vr doesnt work with them its hard to keep them alive unless you find mobs that you manage to kill before they touch you. and if you get duals to the SE also you both will do dmg to bring the mob down fast. my absolute fav is a BD if i got to choose, nice deff, nice atk and buff will be used to the ultimate with the dances the BD uses.
