Shillien Knight Question

I'm looking into making a Shillien Knight after getting my a@@ handed to me by one around my same lvl. :P

My question is why would she be useing dual swords when a Shillien Knight gets so many Sword/Blunt masteries, and no dual masteries?

Can anyone fill me in on this information?

Plz and Thx ^^
Perhaps she was planning on going bladedancer?
Nope we are in our 50's so she was already a SK. Good try tho :P
The question is: What class are you to manage to get beaten by a SK who had abandoned their shield?

The only semi-good reason to use duals on an SK is acute poverty.
Ok...Ok... so im only a PR, but I gave it the best I could. Got through her CP and started in on her HP when all of a sudden my MP was gone, and I was running for my life. :P Few hits later I was eating dirt off the arena floor. :(
Do SK have any skills to drain MP?

So guess I need to see a SK in action with a Sword/Blunt and a shield to see what they can really do?

Does it make any difference that she had just got done killing a same lvl Blade dancer with no problem?
If your MP was suddenly gone, I'd assume someone else interfered in the fight - a healer, namely, using mana burn. SKs have no MP-b-gone skills that I'm aware.

She didn't possibly, like, lie about her level? :p
Well anything is possible in this game, so who knows if she lied. I dont think she did tho... Anyways still in debate if I want to make one or not. I kinda like the cubes they get.
An SK can use duals without the masteries, if the duals are sufficiently enchanted. However, the ideal set up is sword and shield, since many of an SK's defensive masteries and C5 skills require it.

An SK has many skills, but mana drains are not one of them. Either someone else was involved, or there is more to this than meets the eye. Did you use any drains or debuffs, or did you fight with only arrows? Even if the SK's Phantom Cubic and Power Break reduced your p.atk to 1, I doubt you would go through that many arrows and mana so quickly otherwise.

That said, SK's can be highly lethal to archers, if properly tweaked and played right. Take a look at their skills section and you'll see a host of nifty little abilities designed squarely at obviating what archers and daggers do well.

I wouldn't necessarily re-roll an SK, though, just because you lost one fight. SK's are no more uber in pvp than any other figher-type class. They just happen to be, in my opinion, the best fighter type class to play. At least until they give daggers Lightning Strike and cubics. :D
if the SK rooted you, or hated you, then the SK was at LEAST 6 levels higher than you.
OMG don't reroll anything because of arena, esp. a tank. SK are notorious for slow leveling, just read the other threads around here. PR is fine... the problem is, any tank is hard to kill, by anything; but leveling them is a whole other trick, and not nearly as easy as a PR.
