Assassin 20-40 weapon skill question

Heya been playign for a month or so now, found out how work most of the day to day basic of the game. But now i am faced with a dillemn. I dont know if i should only get those skills related to the weapon i use or for both weapon open to assassin.

I like the idea of being able to use both bow and dagger to lvl 40, since it would offer me an alternative against those protected from bow attack. Is it a good idea or not ?
i guess you could, but you will be running out of SP points quite a bit, unless you have a lot of adena to buy crap loads of greater sp scrolls
Can't you just keep making SP killing mob to make up for the gap ? or is it so underpowering to diversify ?

SP is infinite. Eventually you will catch up. You just won't happen to have enough to buy all your skills when they become available unless you die a bunch of times. (You do NOT lose SP when you die. Only XP.)

If your not up to killing yourself. (And possibly having to buy some 'death recovery' scrolls.) Just skimp on the 'useless' skills. If your going to be a dagger, there usually is no need to buy the archer skills and vice versa if you want to be an archer. Also, with the new potion drops, keeping the healing skills maxed out isn't all that necessary either.

Don't worry either about 'missing' any skills. They will always be available to buy later. Even if your L80 and still haven't gotten that last skill that first became available at level 5....
ok that make sence !!!! well anyway im prolly gona skip on dagger unless i decide to subclasse Abyss walker. going subclass into AW would that be any good or i should go with a plate subskill class like Temple Kinight .. im still trying to understand that class , sub-class thing lol

The problem is, unless you die a lot, you'll end up reaching skill tiers faster than you acquire the SP for those tiers -- so if you try to get every skill you'll end up further and further behind. You can die to keep your XP down, though, which some do.

I generally prioritize my skills:

High priority skills I get when I reach the tier
Medium priority skills I keep one tier behind the one I reached (e.g. at 74 I'll learn the 72 versions of these skills)
Low priority skills I get when I have leftover SP and I just reached a tier

Other skills I never get.
I personally think that if you are goign to become an archer at level 40 it is still faster and much cheaper to use a dagger from level 20-40, the only skills you learn for archers is long shot, rapid fire, and stun shot lvl 3 before level 40 so i would learn those and no upgrade my mortal blow
