Hi all,
my friends SO (lvl37) has tried to recharge my BH (lvl52) but its recharging for 0MP.
I know there are limitations to the skill that include a certain level difference between the toons.
Anyone know exactly what the max lvl difference must be for a successful recharge?
Thanks for helping :)
Basically recharging works fine up to a level difference of five levels (i.e. recharger is up to five levels lower than the target) - you won't get a penalty up to then. Recharging becomes pretty useless when the difference reaches about ten levels. Then it is simply not worth it, because the loss on every recharge is simply too big. Nukers with higher mana gain will also get a pretty crappy recharge, but higher mana gain means that they will get a little bit more than non-nukers. Still, I'd say around ten levels difference is pretty much the limit of usefulness. Note, though, that not the level of the recharger himself is important, it's the level of the skill (i.e. the level at which you got the skillset). This does not really make that much of a difference at higher levels since you get skills every two levels, but for e.g. a lvl 39 oracle with lvl 35 skillset recharge it does make a difference when recharging, say, a level 44 nuker.
Actually, the level difference needs to be measured between the level you learned the recharge skill and the player you're trying to recharge.
E.g. a level 78 SE recharging a level 80 BH still has a 6 level penalty because the last level of recharge in the game is level 74.
Although, enchanting your skills (which you can do at 76+) increases their "learned level" so it lessens the penalty. Recharge +1 acts like you learned it at 76 so the level difference is now 4 levels.
