28. The Mage class is penalized in decreased Accuracy with increased casting time when using a bow or spear.

When they say mage class, are they including every class that starts out as a mystic? As in, all branches of magic users? Healers and Summoners in addition to Wizards?

It's not like nukers were using bows or spears - this is aimed specifically at summoners and support classes, yup. :/

Yes I had to let go of my Bow of Peril on my main...luckily I had a HE standing near 52 back then.

I've found that I can still use a bow with a fair degree of success. cast speed drops by about a third, maybe a little less. acumen or greater magic casting pots make hat up handily, I just don't really see the point in a bow, really.
