This is just the default theme from firefox 2.0 with some slight changes. You will see them if you look in the themes manager.
Right now i know this works in firefox 2.0 but i'm not sure of the older 1.5 versions. If any of you that have the older version of firefox...Let me know if you have any issues.
This is just a 0.1 release so i have along way to go to a offical release. Just download it and then drag the file into your theme manager.
This was just a 0.1 release... If you look in your addon manager you will see it geared towards lineage. I wanted to make sure people didn't have any issues installing it.
What version of firefox are you using?
It looks just like the default install of firefox 2.0.... I just changed up the icon and logo in the addon manager for the time being.
Once i get myself to version 0.5 the theme will be up on mozilla themes. It will make it easier for people to download and update when i get a new version made.
Hey, the dotted circle at the top right is BLACK ! cool
Something else I noticed in v0.1 & 0.2 when comparing
to FF 1.5 on another computer. Just below the dotted circle
is a rectangular Google box with a "G" in it. There is black
over the "G" in this box.
P.S. Running Lineage2 is as complicated as launching a Space
Shuttle. Then when you get it going it's like Wheel of Fortune,
you occasionally get the "Bankrupt".
The google search box is white background, what I type in is
black and readable. The size of this box has shrunk though so you
only see 3 characters, then as U type they scroll left which is
normal. Normally the G logo has a little downarrow by it. In v0.1
and 0.2 I don't see this arrow, and a squarish black covers the
G. The mouseover seems to work.
I put the theme on my laptop, FF v1.5. I'm comparing this to
my desktop which also has FF v1.5, but I did not change the
theme on the desktop.
The throbber is black background, the dotted circle dots are
light grey. I think you have a good idea here. I don't mind
upgrading to v2.0, but I thought it was still beta or something.
If you can upgrade one of the PC's to 2.0 and give me your impression between the two. As it stands currently does the theme look better on 2.0 then 1.5? And do you feel that the theme on 1.5 is causing some undesirable issues?
You talked me into it. I put FF v2.0 on my laptop and left the
theme in it, and it carried over fine to the new version without
having to uninstall/reinstall it. Looks great! The Google search
box is back to normal. Under FF 2.0 themes is called "Add-ons"
and within that box are Themes & Extensions tabs.
The only difference I notice is the throbber, I'll look again for
the color to the buttons. Thanks for your efforts Splatt!
I didn't really answer your questions. The theme looks much better
on FF 2.0 than 1.5, and yes on 1.5 it mangles the google search
box and that's undesirable.
Put FF 2.0 on my desktop too, it's probably more secure anyway.
How about red lettering in the Bookmarks Toolbar, and on the
tabs? I like the way the background color matches the forum
background. Could you make the border of the windows match
the border of the cells in the L2 website?
I would have to look and see how red text would look. I'm afraid it would be to dark as i'm concerned how the dark tones i now have will look against a whitish website. If i do anything alot of the text within the browser would be the light blue.
Hey Splatt, grats on lvl36. I know this is off topic but it seems
like a good opening. I would like to know if you've started the
2nd class change quests yet and what it's like? Also what armor
and weapon(s) do you use? How about a pic of your main!
0.3 is good and bad, its good that you got the basic blue painted over and the highlighted parts in the addons and downloads boxes are a good effect, and just tiny bits that are bad, like the grey address bar doesn't work well with the other colors and i think you should use the gold as you mentioned before for separators everywhere went you get the time to add it more around i guess.
I hate to use any gold or yellow color in the address bar... As thats used to show a secure https site and i don't want to give any false impressions.
I do plan on adding some golden bars and separators.
Is the gray background in the address bar to light or dark? What color do you feel would work well? Remember, i'm also trying to take into account how this theme looks on different websites just not lineage.
This is nice, I like v 0.3! The address bar is a tough one. When I
open a tab a "tab bar" appears. The tab bar gray is slightly darker
than the address bar gray. Maybe make the address bar color
match the tab bar. The "Lineage blue" lettering is perfect. When
I logged into the forum even the "do you want Firefox to
remember this password" popup had the effect. Great!
I like it. The tab bar looks good. The cyan color for a separator kind of stands out, though, and looks just a little off. I can't really place it. Maybe a darker cyan, or a ligher blue?
I'm thinking of changing the separator color to some thing more goldish, i don't want to overdue it with the light blue. And i'm not happy with the way the active tab turned out.... I feel it needs to be more pronounced.
If anyone else cares to post some input i'm all ears....
I don't know about on other computers, but on my computer, the tabs have the same color as teh background. It would be better to have them different colors, or different shades. (Caution, mob colors in L2 don't work right on my PC at all, so others might not have this problem.)
Not bad. The gold stands out rather differently, but does not scream "Active" to me. I often look for the active tab to be the lighter color of the background, rather than the one that stands out.
For some reason my right hand search bar, the one with Google etc...
It's far off to the right, I can only see the G for Google and about half the input box. There's also some distortion on the quick search Icons, they have black marks running through them.
The only lighter color i could have used was the light blue, but i feel that i would be over using that color. And the goldish color i got from an idea on the website. (http://www.lineage2.com/Knowledge/castle.html)
I think i found a fair sized bug with tabs i need to deal with :(
Now i'm at a loss... When i view this
image (http://webpages.charter.net/ju00/Necro1.JPG) that was posted by someone on these boards it messes up the tabs. But when i view any other image on the web it doesn't
***Update***
I found the mistake i made and corrected it.... I'll have a bug fix out in a few days.

Perhaps make your inactive tabs the same color as the tabs there?
Just put the latest version on my desktop at home and it's great!
The active tab is "filled" completely, that's better.
My homepage in Firefox is set to the University of Arizona home.
From there I can get my webmail, employee stuff, weather. I have
also used the default Firefox/Google page in the past.
I have some of that changed.... But most of whats in options has been hit and miss. I'm not able to use the normal method to see what i have to edit to change things.
I just got a popup from Mozilla saying I should upgrade my
Firefox to v2.0.0.1 and the L2 Theme v0.4.1 is not compatible.
I do have v0.4.3 of the theme installed though :(
