Supply and Demand. The 'invisible hand' of the market, per Wealth of Nations (Adam Smith).
I guess they are only "insane" if you want it and cannot afford it. The Bounty Hunters out there, longsuffering and patient, deserve the profits from grinding high enough to spoil this stuff.
Yesterday, looking for some books for my prophet, I headed up to Hunter's Village. I spotted a lone dwarf in C Grade and immediately hailed her down and asked her level - it was quite close to mine, so I asked her if she'd like to head into EV with me to help me look for my books.
She agreed, and we took off. When the group broke, to my surprise, she told me to include the spoils in the loot distribution next time.
I have to ask myself what's become of bounty hunters: Buffed, she keeps aggro and thus saves me money, she spent a fair amount of MP on stuns without ever running low enough to require a recharge, and of course, we had agreed that I would get to keep the most valueable possible drops around there (prophet books). Why does she think that adding some hitting heavier than a fly-swatter to my little duo somehow means she should have to split her cash?
I can only shake my head - but if she agrees, I'll be glad to request her help in putting together some items for me later on! :D
PS: All clans distribute their drops differently - some demand all drops, some demand a certain cash pay-in on a voluntary or compulsory basis, and some simply say: Give what you can. I am wearing the earring I got while getting whacked around the head for my clan's sake at the moment, and I don't have to put it into the CWH when I'm done with it. I will, though.
9-10M for EWA on Sieghardt, and I thought we were expensive Oo
yeah...cheapest store i found in Giran (Sieghardt) lastnight was 9.3mil...so i shouted"WTB EWA 9mil" "GOING FOR +10"
and i got a pm right away...
and hello +10 soul bow :)
The prices for the scrolls are very prohibitive to overenchanting. Seems like only a couple of months ago they were 9.5 - 11M on Devianne. This week I've seen them in the 13M - 15M range. Guess I'll wait to see if demand and prices decline before I attempt +9 on the DLE.
if you ask me they sud give Trader of mammon the EWA to bring back balance in EWA i never going to Enchent when a scroll cost more then 10Mil adena's witch means no brakeing weapons effects again Crafters and that effect the common people selling Mats to crafters
over the next months we will see if the community really does want all the bots gone. Prices are definately going to start going crazy also most of the people that used the manor were bots and almost every ewb on the market came from bots. So we will see how things turn out, those already highly geared it really isnt that big of a deal but noobs are going to be payin out their ears. We will see how things readjust!
using your analogy buffers would only buff themselves, healers would only heal themselves, etc
Not really. Buffers often give out buffs free of charge to random people. How often do you see a BH handing out mats free of charge to random people? Money is a completly different subject than mana >.>

I've never played a BH but spoiling costs money? I thought it was just mana as well...

...Sooo....a BH that uses all his MP to stun is just as acceptable in party as a Healer using all his MP to heal?

Would be in any of my groups. Why? Are you more particular about whom you allow to party with you?
Personally, stun would be a waste of time in my groups. Just not necessary. But, hey, I don't tell people how to play their toon.

No, useing spoil gives you mats which sell for money. My point was a buffer gives free buffs all the time. But a BH isn't going to be giving the mats he gets from spoil to random people. That's how it's a different subject
