Another newbie question about grouping

How does grouping in this game work? How many levels do you have to be in relation to other group members to get optimal experience? What are the dos and the donts of grouping? Thanks in advance guys.

that is to say, know what your class is meant for.

if youre a buffer, try not to run in to the fire before the tank.

Very useful information, thank you. One more question though. What is the max level spread you can have between 2 group members before there is a penalty? In other words, if my friend just starts the game how many more levels can I be than my friend without creating a problem for grouping?

There is no penalty for grouping different levels. Just if your's party member is 20 (i think) lvls less or higher the party bonuce doesnt applyes.

party bonuses for exp dont apply after the difference in levels is greater than 20. right. thats what ledaa was trying to say i think.

if your group got along fine without you before, they will do so even with you in group.

There is no cap, but xp is divided based on levels of people in the party. So a level 10 will not get as much exp as lvl 50 in the same party.

depends how fast you kill compared to how fast he solo's.

if grouped gou gain more exp per hour, then its beneficial. otherwise, nope.
