Questions about Wit and Int Tattoos

I have done searches trying to get more specific information on the tattoos. But can't really reach a conclusion or find an answer.

My questions are as follow and skill specific:
Is Hold or Sleep considered an abnormal condition or a curse?

Does a higher INT allow for a better chance of hold/sleep landing? Or will a higher WIT allow for a higher chance of hold/sleep landing?

I am assuming that the higher the WIT the higher the chance of landing the skill since the higher the WIT the more resistance the character has to sleep/hold. Can anyone confirm?

WIT is casting speed, INT will make sleep/root land better, spells hit harder.

Resistance to abnormal statuses is MEN now.

So higher MEN gives higher defense against root/sleep and higher INT gives you a better landing rate of root/sleep. right?
