Ok i know im probably not the first one to post about it but whats the deal with high fall damage in the cata pools??

Im swing alone all nice and slow then BLAM !! half way down high fall damage ?? what did the water change to air at the last second .
High fall damage half way in a pool of water.

I thought they fixed this bug in C5, my characters mostly now just sink to bottom without taking the hp damage. Only my SE who has little hp to start with as ever had to heal after swimming. Just one of those odd things to deal with in this game, so many awesome stuff otherwise.

Don't get me wrong here, I'm far from a Fanboy, but couple of things I feel I need to point out here:

1) Work on your Spelling and Grammar

2) This is a video game. Talking about real world Physics and a video game two mutually exclusive, concepts.

One can try and "Emulate" the real world Physics in a video game as much as possible, but it would still fall quite short of the real thing.

PS: I do agree with you that the falling bug is annoying, however, you won't ever do that if you enter the water properly. :)

If you want to complain about physics, I would suggest starting at gravity and elven high heels.

Actually, I think the larger physics issue is that you swim down farther than you swim up. The waterline isn't the same.

Which, in reality, could only happen if the catacombs were both airtight and higher air pressure than atmospheric. Which means those bot trains should suffocate after all the oxygen is depleted.

Haha yea that always did make me wonder - but that's something that can be explained away easily enough with magic.

There is, of course, a magical explanation as to why elves can fight in high heels too - but not one why they should.

2-My post was more humorus and satirical observation on why a stupid bug like that hasn't been fixed since C3,I know its not a real world physic vs in game physic comparison,and know that video or often comprised wth bugs BUT my point is its a very old bug that sould of been fixed a long time ago

ah no when people use it as cheap burn to someone saying their spellings, is not corect they think the whole world speak english as prime languages how dump of me i understand only 5% of the world population is just read/write english
most of them think spelling equals IQ well fact is it's just a small part of the brain that controls this function
next time consider
1 it's not the players first or second languages
2 player might have dyslexia

You don't get damage when you fall in water in game.

You get damage when you fall between the wall and the water.
It takes thin ppl but few toons are fat anyway.

There's a 100% working workaround for this STUPID bug, so I had never fallen like that since middle of C3. And i wouldn't write STUPID, if developers had fixed it.

Anyways. Just before jumping off "the cliff" at the entrance, submerge underwater on its edge, wait a sec to let the STUPID game catch up with you and understand that you are actually in water. When you see the oxygen line, you can safely swim forth, you won't fall.

But, man, do i hate STUPID things like that...

I've found the best way to avoid this bug is to be careful picking your destination. Clicking the underwater walls that are sort of ahead of you & below a bit instead of more straight down has always worked for me.

Just for the Record, English ain't my primary language either. However, since I am on English Speaking forum boards, I try not to make an *** out of myself by screwing up every other word I write. ;)

Not that I'd flame someone for bad English, but the trouble with your English isn't that you haven't learned it. Substituting 'u' for 'you' is a case of general laziness, and blaming it on not being a native speaker is silly: Someone who is not comfortable with what they're writing usually writes it properly.

If you can blame anything on your not being a native speaker, then it is that your first post really didn't (for me at least, I am, after all, not a native speaker either) carry a humorous tone at all.

Ok ppl let it go this is a forum about L2 and the subject is high fall damage bug antyhing else is just spam ,why whine about someones bad english grammar on a L2 forum when u(or you) can't do nothing about it.Even if my writing was bad i think it was clear enuf to be understandable cauz ppl answered without complaining about it.

So what does your question matter if you ask the gen public about it when the Devs are the ones that should be fixing it, yet after 3 full chronicles, they still haven't fixed it?

Maybe you're trying to start a Riot or a revolution, you know, get enough people to sign your "well known bug" petition and send it to NCsoft? Even though NCsoft most likely knows very well about this bug for over a year or so....

I find the best way to drop to the bottom without swimming is to jump off the bit of a ledge right into the water, rather than running down.

This is a secret feature in the game. There is an invisible hydra that occasionally sucks random players to the bottom wherever there's a large body of water and consequently sucking out all of that player's hp. So do not be alarmed. This is a game feature.
