Which one is better... List pros and cons please.
Completely different function?

Can't really say either is better.
How are they completely diff from what i cann tell fairly similer both have buffs wc slightly better buffs and party. ol ally slightly worse better aoe's
An Overlord is really meant for castle seiges and big-scale PvP. A WC seems to be more geared for party buffs.
Better at what?
Overlords left alone in a massive pvp can devastate the field..MP drains, silence, delay skills and many others...and those are AOEs!
They can also mass or singel target CP heals for around 900 to 300. Cant say this for sure but i think their Drain health is better than a WC's.

Now for the WC :P I have one at 73 that the clan help level...they're geared towards party buffers, hit one macro and the party can keep going without having to stop. But to get worth while buffs you have to level one high, where as a prophet at 55 can take care of it... they dont get vamp4 till 74.
Solo I used a blunt with mana up/duals if i have an SE...Their debuffs doesnt seem all that great compared to an OL, aoe root HARDLY lands, they can only heal party members. But with the wc, its ALL about CHANT OF VICTORY...granted its a 78 skill (long way to go :P) but its one amazing buff. In my lower levels I barely got groups, but watch..once i yell lvl 78 WC LFG or clan..PMs galore :D
You can't compaire them very well. Not only are the playing styles completely different, their responsibility in groups are completely different.

I am an OL person myself, but the WC I have met are awsome party people. The OL is a pain in the bums to level past 60. The WC is always wanted in party, and not just for the buff ability, but also for the pure damage output. The OL is now the best sleeper in the game but to outfit them right, you have to have multiple weapons and armors.

The only real advantage that the OL has is in sub-classing, they can become a WarCryer, but no one else can sub-class as an OL.
i think Zhanig covers most of it
OL=Allaince buff (siedges mass raids)
WC=small party masters more for the dayly gride
btw whats this chant of Victory doing anyway
no i never party with a WC 78

Chant of Victory - HP +20%, restores the HP added, Speed -20%, Accuracy +4, P.Def. +20%, P.Atk. +10%, Atk. Spd. +20%, Critical +20%, Critical Damage +20%, M.Def. +20%, Casting Spd. +20%, Debuff Resistance +20%
Just one thing to add :)
wc and ol gets same level of drain.

And overlords get soul guard (+p.def toggle) and soul cry (+p.atk) while warcryers only get soul cry. Will only be used in pvp or when they dont have to buff/heal.
Overlords can function as a healer better than warcryer as heart of paagrio now has instant heal followed by HoT + of course cp heal ^^ which is very nice!

I guess I had more than one thing to say :p

Tell me that isnt an awesome buff...to bad its quite short and cost a few soul ores.

Just one thing to add :)

Overlords get Berserk which Warcryers do not.

The extra Matk from this buff would be the only reason a OL's drain does more than a WC.

Regarding the two heals: Heart of Paagrio (OL) and Chant of Life. (WC) HoP casts significantly faster than CoL. The HoT effect is roughly the same on a level per level basis, althought HoP skips a few levels that CoL has skill updates for. HoP, was changed in C5 to be partially an instant heal. This 'half' of the skill IS boosted by shots. Their MP cost is currently the same when at equal levels. HoP is 900 range, all allies. CoL is Party only, and range is perhaps half of HoP for those within party.

In general though, the VR buff + Crit/Haste buffs means that the WC is significantly better for PvE. You would think this would make the OL better for PvP, but this isn't quite the case. The low regen and high MP costs limits the OL to either a one pvp killer or a buff/heal slave. (Although the WC isn't terribly better than that either.)

They are two entirely different classes... I mean question is what do you plan on doing in game? Do you have an alliance? and what not, you can't compare them against each other.
There is no "better" in this game. Each class has it's own pros and cons. Both characters are orc mages, so they share their physical attributes. They both deal the biggest damage you can take from a buffer type character. Their aggresive skills are what makes them different. While WC has single target attack spells (3 DoT's), the OL has many aggresive AoE spells (debuffs). These debuffs of course are usefull in a party where a tank and 1-2 DD can do the rest of the work. In general, a WC is easier to find parties and thus easier to level, since you don't rely only on your clan/ally to be ingame. OL on the other hand gets precious on higher levels, specially for mass PvP. Above 50 soloing gets harder anyway so you need duos or bigger parties. A WC goes solo/duo easier where an OL can be very effective in very organised groups/raids with clan/ally members. In any case, I believe they are both really fun to play ( I had a really hard time when I tried to decide which I would play). When you choose one, you just have to adopt to the specific playstyle.

I agree with that. Since c5 my OL has become a crowd control master, aoe roots, sleeps and stuns can really control the situation really well. My sleep is faster than most everyones now, and I'm not even using an acumen weapon. :)

So far I just finally got in to full a grade armor weapon and jewelry at lvl 72, can't have multiples yet, would love to have some heavy armor.

But an OL can be great in pvp situation. I don't like 1v1 pvp, its just drain drain drain pretty much, but when working with a large group, I am throwing the heals, throwing the cp recoveries while someone else is also healing, can make for a big difference in a flow of a battle :)
Im a WC lvl 6x and im really loving it. The point is the main purpose of the 2 characters. One is more like a defensive buffer (OL) and the other is more like an offensive buffer (WC). Both Drains have the same power at same lvls but self buffed OL has more m. attack considering the same weapon for both cause of Berserk buff. Its all like the other ppl said. Both have their own purposes and since WC is more offensive + Soul Cry it can deal quite a good amount of damage when geared properly but dont try to be a DD in mass pvp. :P In mass pvp just DoT enemies and buff the party, drain if u have mp.

Hope my post can be useful. HF all
OL gets WW and is the only class that can actually tank in robes (i knew an OL in robes who did most all the tanking a small parties in his clan from about 40 to 60) becasue of soul guard, and the AOE spells can draw a lot of aggro to you. other than that, as was said, its harder to find parties. a couple OLs i know had a hard time even getting parties in their own clans, becuase people didnt want to share their xp for "useless" buffs. the same people got angry at the same OLs becasue they died in seiges, and it was the OL's fault of course, since they were out of the range of CP heal or whatever. OL, like WS, make very good clan leaders, because they are classes that needs clans (not just parties) to support them in order to reach their potential. WC is a more laid-back class, if you commonly party with a BD friend, you will pretty much be assured a party within 8 seconds of logging in.
