so what sorta stuff did you think would never happen in your L2 career?
i remember waaaay back in my ws days i had just gotten crystalize B grade as a skill
a person that i hardly knew but who was a regular SS customer asked me to crush some BO jewlery for her, abit worried since i had yet to gain her trust she asked if i was going to scam her
i replyed that as a WS my whole existance depends on trust and i really only get one chance to scam before my toon is basically useless
as a joke i said "when you hand me a S grade blunt then ill scam you :P"
last week she handed me her 7th S grade blunt to crystalize....
That i would find another class as fun to play as my dwarf (yes, shoot me if you like i love my dwarf, the WS is the most fun class i've played ever due to the challenge i have of being a WS, lol) and i have tried quite a few but gotten bored already before 40 lol, though today i'm actually playing on my glad more and still not bored with him even though he's rapidly catching up to my dwarf =)
Heh my bad I stated things that WILL never happen. Things that I didn't think WOULD happen but did were 76 on my cardinal, a subclass, SE's getting nerfed but good.
That's easy. I never thought I'd stay. I was only planning to see what the game was like for a week (and possibly less) since I had never tried an online game before and the photos and reviews intrigued me.
I never expected to be leading my clan, never expected to break B grade (I'm mid-way through A grade now), never anticipated being as plugged into the community as I am.
I remember a number of these points:
I never thought I'd get any toon to C-grade (40 seemed a long way off in NG at 25 w/300k in adena).
I never thought I'd get any toon to B-grade.
I never thought I'd do one of those raid-boss thingies way back when..........
I never thought I'd have 10 million adena in the game!!!!!
I never thought I'd try out another server.......
These "moments" occur again and again in L2--one of the things I like about the game is the ability to accomplish difficult things and then have another, new goal.
Good discussion question. Thank you for that--I needed to remember those once-upon-a-time-goals.

yeah i like this one
i never thought id get A grade
never thought id sub
never thought id be thrid class
the list just goes on and on, i think im the sorta person who hopes for the best but expects the worst
I remember joking with my clannies about how one day we'd own Aden. Took us a while... but we did get it :) Never thought that would ever happen.
Never thought Id subclass. I remember C grade being so painful to craft that I thought Id never craft again (made 2 different dorfs to farm all the mats for my SoWD! And then NC changed the recipe ingredients before I had a chance to craft it :p ).
I never thought Id get into a clan war... especially not two very large ones... was great fun!
And never thought Id ever get to kill antharas. I remember back in the days getting a group together to go down and port in just to look at him.. because we didnt think we'd ever get to raid him properly.
I never thought I'd play an MMO, because well, you're all nerds.
Fark.
For me... meh... I got a few.
- Dwarven Craft Shops
- No dropping on death
- Crying zerg ( 13 clans vs 3 )
- Leveling 3+ characters to 40+ in less than a month
- Making 20m by the end of the my second month on Franz
- Making 1m a day/ 250k an hour on a lvl 4x character
- DELEVELING a lvl 4x character just to farm
- Leveling seperate characters solely for festivals
- Helping my clan win a CH within the first month
- Letting myself get pked 50 times by the same person ( to level up Zariche )
- Pretty much everything I do on Franz. ( especially leveling another SH XD )
- Mana potions
[so what sorta stuff did you think would never happen in your L2 career?]
So how much do you get paid for your l2 career? I think its pretty sad if you consider your lineage 2 game playing a career but if you are getting paid big bucks then I say why not!

When I started back in Prelude I never thought I'd make it to the max level (60 then) or even have top gear of any sort. It was such a struggle in Prelude - I think I got to level 20 still using a Cedar Staff and almost never using even Spiritshots and the Devotion armor set didn't exist and there were no Acumen potions [Can anyone now imagine leveling a nuker with a 325 cast speed and no BSpS?]. I remember reading the Library section of the L2 website when I first started and looking at the best mage weapon (Branch of the World Tree is what it was called then) and thinking how cool it would be to get that. Now I've hit 75 and subbed and have a Sword of Miracle. So all of my original goals have been exceeded. But alas the target keeps moving.
I also never thought I'd say 'I only play 10-20 hours a week'.
Never thought I'd get A grade
Never thought I'd quit my tyrant, and actually enjoy playing a healer (was reluctant to roll an SE when asked)
Never thought I'd hit 75 - and should it be possible I'd still be wearing B grade for sure! :p
Never EVER thought I'd subclass
