Nice to see.

Though some would argue with this statement:

However, Lineage II has retained the merciless PvP combat that has made it the game of choice for players who take their competitive death-dealing seriously.

Too bad they couldnt get a larger ad on their main page. Looks tiny compared to the others, I had a hard time finding it, and I was looking for it.

Ditto. That front page is incredibly busy, though...
Ya, well try hitting refresh, mine was right in middle, I think it is random.

NOTE: Trial not available in Europe, Japan, China or Korea.

hrmmm?
thank god they r finally advertising
Ya that one caught my eye as well, isn't Lineage 2 available to Europeans though? NcSoft should have something for Europeans too :/
They do Teon and Franz, =p lol jk,
your right they should.

L2 is so popular i bet 5 million free accounts would be taken on the first day :P
Is it like grab that free trial, rush through clan academy and graduate just before it expires? :p
LOL exactly as stated above
yup.. but:

Has anyone actualy tried the trial in Europe. Does this mean they have just taken away the Europe servers etc? Often MMO trials say not available in Europe when they still work :P D&D Stormreach for example. Its just - I'm from europe and i want to get my friends playing, so a trial is perfect, but not for US only ¬_¬

I'm sorry, what you are talking about?

As far as needing to activate the trial using the time card, I think a credit card is also usable. It seems that many trials require a credit card so this is not new.

Does it screw over someone without a credit card? yes I think so. Especially if the person needs to use Time Cards to play.

I'm not sure why they can't just allow a 14 day trial that doesn't require a Credit Card, but as I've said, most of these trials require it.

Ok, I get it. Apparently someone over at NC made a mistake and they gave a code that is tied into a closed beta. oops.
I think the NA playerbase is getting smaller and the european playerbase get higher.
Thats maybe teh reason why NC think that european player DONT need a Trail Key, but they want more US player i guess... or something like that.
They never limited who could actually play on NA servers. Asian countries should have been barred to begin with...

At least the trial is going down the right lines however I am concerned Europe can't get in on it.

Yeah well, i dont think they even know they have players in Europe...
We dont get to participate in the contests, we dont get the Epic Collection (well, i did get it but i had to search all over for it and it costed me much more in the end), and now we dont get the Trial... What next ? Oh yeah i know : " The Chaotic Throne - Interlude is not available in Europe, Japan or China "

This is usually attributed to your own lawmakers. That's why a lot of contests are not valid in certain states, even in the U.S.; stupid lawmakers in those states. Blame them.

There is a lot of truth to this.
There are some stupid laws in the EU that make people pay some money to a specific government department in order to make free contest, etc... it is the similar like the law that usual exclude Quebec and RI.

check it out here - http://www.howstuffworks.com/question541.htm

cost millions of money to hire lawyer and stuff to research law btw, and you're on a limited ads budget :(
