can clan lords leave clans?

i see the title heir all over the place..and what i wanted to know...how exactly or what exactly does that entail?
can clan lords leave clans? and if so does the clan stay intact?

I'm sure I read somewhere you can change clan leaders therefore I would think that the original leader can then leave if they want to, leaving the clan intact. It will only collapse if it is disbanded which I think was the only previous option in earlier Chronicles.

Correct me if I'm wrong everyone, I'm not a clan leader so not 100% on this.

It has nothing to do with the heir title, but yes a clan leader can leave clan, if he first makes another member the leader.

Clan lords can give the clan to another clan member. Then they could leave the clan. The title of heir means differant things depending on what level the clan is.

ok...so how exactly do i do this?
i dont see the option to where i can make someone leader.
its a great clan, i've lead my group through alot of years...but i dont see how i can hand the leader title over..
its a level 5 clan, and weve made a great alliance.
i think im done dealing with the stuff that comes with being a clan lord.
i just want to be a player for once

Visit the NPC you originally spoke to to create the clan, I think the option is there.

This is correct. It asks you the name of the person to transfer leadership to. The leadership transfer takes place the next time the server is restarted. There is no penalty (that I know of) in doing this. As a matter of fact, you can (and I have), transfer leadership to a level 1 toon. :o
