Trial accounts

Hello my friend has acquired himself a trial account from the mmorpg.com site, and we were wondering if he wants to keep playing, does he have to buy a Lineage 2 key or can he just renew with a monthly payment?

Since i am playing on a Guest pass given out 1,5-2 years ago and only thing i had to do was renew it with a montly payment, so i was just wondering about this: )

I believe the person has to buy a cd-key.

The guest pass your talking about, was it the buddy trial key that one time? Because if it was the buddy key thing, that one you didn't need a cd-key because I remember making an account with that and continuing with it since I came back to L2 on a new char.
