so, im getting ready to leave for work thismorning. and im looking at this old EAB in my wh. then i look at an old +3 doom helmet. It prolly wasnt wise, but i tapped it. So, now im wondering, if i should go for the +6? Are the bonuses pretty good, or just kinda blah...
You get about 20% to your's mp regen and i dont know how much is the pdef bonuce. For me from flat enchanting tallum boots/gloves to +6 gave pdef of +3 S glvoes/boots.
Now saving money to try the body and helm..
the pdef is equivalent to what IC heavy would have if it didnt have the Pdef bonus(fully buffed with OE bonus)....so its pretty much like a DD set of S grade armor (that you can use at 61).
the mpregen is extreamly helpful. I am an sws which is all based on mpregen. At frintezza raid I used to constantly loose mp (doing 4 songs+2 dances). Now that i have +6 set I have been full MP with 30+ seconds left on songs. :O its crazy
Heavy = MP regen and Pdef
Light = Mdef and evasion
Robe = Pdef and weight limit
Definitely not worth it to make a +6 set for a dwarf just to craft. Any EE within the dwarfs level range with acumen and a 77 swordsinger will still be like 100x more efficient
And 1 in 8 would be true if that theoretical 50% for any enchant held true. However, the same site that posted that statistic also posted the data from which they derived it. If you look at the data it shows examples that the higher the enchant goes, the higher the possibility is of failing. They determined what the enchant rate would be assuming that every level of enchant is the same. Since most of their data was composed of +3->+4 enchants, the average was much higher than it should be. Take a look at their Bronze Sheild stats, you'll see what I'm talking about.
I took my Doom light set up to +6. Got lucky with the main part and it right to +6. Went through 3 helms, 2 gloves, and 2 boots. Still after crafting all that and buying the BEA scrolls. It was way less than buying one A grade helm. And the added evasion and M.Def are always nice to have. ;)
it says 1 out of 3 blow up....i even see it every now and then with the helpful hint when you start up.. so if you start with 8...you should have 5-6 +4's 3-4 +5's around 2 +6's.
