i think drac bow is the most bad *** looking weapon, and the Sgrade fists are the most stacy looking ones, as for staff, i'd say it the crystal staff...don't know why.
Ouch. Mine is only +3 but I have the SA on it so I'm not gonna try to OE on this one.
If I sell all my alt gear, sub gear, and go back to using Avadon armor I could buy a +7 ... But instead I am planning on waiting until EWA drop back down in price after another pumpkin/squash type event then I will craft / buy a bunch of SoM and try to make one.
Since I'm bored I ran a Monte Carlo sim to figure out how many SoM I should pool up to have a good shot at getting at least one to +7. Here are the results (wish boards supported tables of data...):
# = number of starting weapons
% = probability to get one or more at +7
So I'll try to pool up enough mats and adena for at least 5 SoM and give it a shot. Worst case I'll have plenty of crystals for crafting more SoM later. ;)
Just for kicks if I do start with 5 SoM I'll get from 0 to 5 weapons to +7. Here are the approximate probabilities:
Then for those dying to know... On Kain SoM runs about 60-70m right now and EWA run >15m. So the "cost" to make a +7 SoM is around 570m. If EWA drops back to about 7m (which they were at the squash event) then the "cost" drops to about 380m. Go Go NCSoft. More pumpkin events please!
I did the same thing a long while back. I had two Homunkulus that I got to +6 (the first two OE I tried). At the time I thought chance was 80%. So I clicked for a +7 and got crystals. Then I distinctly remember thinking 'what the hell, I'll get a +7 on the next one' (alcohol may have played a role in this poor judgement). I clicked again and got another pile of crystals. I promptly ran over to the lux shop, turned in my shiny new crystals for a new DS and exchanged for Homunkulus, plussed it up to +3 and put the SA on it. I had that weapon all the way to level 70 blowing up at least 4 more trying to get back to +6.
I think the SOM is the best looking weapon in the game. :p
As far as mage weapons go, it's the best looking.
But do you know what sucks about the SOM? The way it only glows on the main blade when it's overenchanted. Since it is technically a weapon with a front and aft blade, I had hoped that both blades would glow when overenchanted. Oh well, there go my Darth Maul dreams out the window.
The SLS is still my all time favorite weapon. It is so detailed and elegant that it makes all of the other B, A, and S grade swords look like cartoon cut-outs.
Spiritual Eye (new low a grade onehand blund ).It has the looks
It only looks good from the sides. When you see someone holding it straight on, it looks like mismatched LEGO pieces. And it's also another weapon that doesn't look so hot at +8, flames or not. Like you're carrying around a big blue matchstick.
That said, if the darn thing had cooperated and enchanted successfully to +10, I would have fallen in love with it. :(
