I decided to go fishing on my maestro, for the first time in months. I forgot to bring any shots for my Elysian, but I wasn't too worried about the mobs that might spawn (some sort of flava I think).
In the short time I fished, three mobs spawned. Each time they beat on me for over half my health, then evaporated before I could kill them. I came close on the third mob by spamming my two stun attacks.
If some mob is beating on me, I want the chance to kill it and get the XP. What is this crap about some time limit to kill a mob? Are we required to use shot now? Maybe only character with damage specials are suppose to fish. Does NCSoft check play balance on this stuff?
It's always been this way, I fish with silhouette so it's no problem for me to kill them but my WS friend can't kill them before they disappear no matter what she does.
We have asked that this would be revised, as bots obviously exploit this flaw.
Back in C4 when you could zerk out of party ppl, we use to have fun with thoes that --- while fishing. Just zerk the toon, and buff the mob up as soon as it spawns. HP pots won't keep them alive. But sadly this is hard to do now that we can't zerk the toon.

but we can still buff up the mobs however useless it may be.
I'm personally pleased that the mobs don't stick around till they are killed. I would need to invest in a DD weapon if I wanted to fish, as opposed to now where I can try to root it/run around till it disappears.
But they could make a compromise, and make it so the fish stays as long as someone is beating on it.
