The end game to l2 is pvp. And raids. you don't have to do it but it really is the end game. it will just take a bit of a commitment on your part to get to a competitive lvl.
L2 is what you make of it. There are always seiges to attend and bosses to kill, you just have to find other people who like to do the same things. There are a lot of people who just like to stick to themselves and level in peace until they get high level and then do nothing... But there are some clans that do take the time to organize raids/seiges etc. Find one of those clans and you should be happy 8)

QFT. Words of wisdom indeed.
I'm not at the end game. I stopped by to smell the flowers.

Have Fun !

HOLD ON HOLY CRAP !
The Devil noticed you... SO now you might as well quit and go play wow.
Or if you stay in L2, switch name, server and stop posting !
The main reason I left WOW and came back to l2 was the pvp. If you find predictable mobs to be challenging then stay with wow. If you prefer the challenge of fighting human controlled toons bent on casuing you loss of exp then go l2. the pvp in wow is absolutly pointless. Nothing at risk save a few golds worth of armor dmg. In l2 you die you lose 4% which at high lvls is painful. the pvp system in l2 is well thought out and the challenge is to survive in game and become strong enough to defend yourself against blood thirsty toons bent on casing you pain. I play on Erica and we have a large population of ill tempered gankers who find great enjoyment in hurting your toon. I feel like a rebel from star wars fighting the empire. survive, lvl, get stronger and try to over throw the evil empire.... The challenge for anyone new to l2 is getting to a competitve lvl so you can actually pvp without simply being owned by any toon 20 lvls higher. also prob everyone at newbie lvl has a high lvl alt so when you get them mad they prob logg the main and kill ya. so get to high lvl and have good fun . Pvp in l2 is best around, if more into trade skills etc, stay WOW.
just keep in mind the game is sold as a pve game in korea, and a pvp game here
you will most likely spend several months getting to 60, just grinding grinding grinding and think "why am i doing this?!" and then go "but theres a reward in the end, pvp !" then after a while realise that you will never get to this pvp, and if you do you still need to pve alot since you loose xp in pvp, and theres so many potions and stuff being spammed there the only way to win is to purchase money from the botters
cuz i swear i read in the newspaper that there was a guy who went to jail for stealing in game item.. and ppl getting stabbed to death cuz of scams in korea..
didnt know it was pve in korea hmmm can we verify this? who would play this if only pve? the grind will be hard and you need to get to 70 plus not 60 to pvp. many of the botted toons already close to 80. pvp is largely lvl dependent so you got to do your work to get your rewards, but pvp is good fun and l2 best pvp going
There are servers specifically PvE designed in Korea. But the game is a PvP game. It's obsurd to think otherwise. I'd like to see their PvP MMORPG's...

This is the truth of it.
And thought there are pve servers, you can still pvp. The pvp just takes place as sieges and arena type pvp.
well im staying. Id rather spend the time getting to a high lvl and actually playing some great PvP then just spending a short time getting to 60 in WoW and raiding until im bored. Now i just need a server to play on. I played on Bartz for the whlo trial but i didn't really meet anyone... i did get into a clan but the clan mambers where rarely on when i was. any suggestions?
Bartz has a high lvl population. And most are from the Us. So if you are fro europe try teon or franz instead. first as i started with l2 again,i went to bartz as it has a nice palyer base of high lvl's. Good for dwarfs. But i left to franz as they got more ppl on when i have time. You have to look for yourself. What server fits your playing time the best.
To become competitive in L2 I feel requires more time commitment. The grind can suck!
But if you get to 65+ and even better 70+ you will probably enjoy yourself. It just is a little slow especially the pre 40 levels, but then again that varies per player too.
Join a clan that likes and can do raids and PvP, seiges etc and you will enjoy yourself if that is what you are looking for.
