I just realized I have never seen one played. I can undertsand why. They dont do much. But seems like it would be fast to level one. Considering your only option is pole. Now I want to make one. But have to wait my 7 days to clear up some space. Anyone else ever seen one? or played one?
Yep I am friends with a lvl 75 Warlord, who is now subbed.
They do level pretty fast!
PvP they are not so good, but once we were defending a castle and we had 4 warlords behind the doors, and when the doors were broken down they kept enemies out by keeping them stunned.
well...I think you misunderstood...you do realize you get only pole masteries right? Which I pointed out that they probably level fast because of that. Thanks for your opinion on the class....I guess...

no way, really? ^_^
it might then be better phrased as we are "limited in our options for weaponry" as opposed to "don't do much". anyone who have ever played a warlord and/or been in a pole group would be quick to tell you we do a hell of a lot.
Dwarfs and Destroyers get pole masteries too, fyi.
From what ive seen, dwarves make better pullers beacuse of more HP. as for killing, the wl gets the best skills. but some aoe groups have tanks pull so that might not even be a factor for some people,

Thanks! I was thinking because Warlord only uses pole they would be the best at it over any other class. Seems like they would be fun to play.
provoke is also helpful in the catas where only some of the mobs are aggro (just so you know tho, you won't be able to hold aggro with it, it's mainly just for pulling). i don't think dwarves get thunderstorm either, which is a major help when youve pulled all the mobs on top of yourself.
Warlords, due to their skills with polearms (notably Thunderstorm) are better pole users than dwarves. While dwarves get more HP, we do suffer from lower dex, and the inability to have any type of self heal or hate effects. The exception to hate effect being Spoil Fest, but it doesn't have the range as Provoke does.
I have a friend who is a 65+ WL and he does more damage than I could ever do on my WS.
They get a self heal skill, which restores a ton of HP, they get a decent ranged hate-type spell, and they get four special attacks: Wild Sweep(D grade), Whirlwind (C Grade), Thunderstorm (C Grade) and Wrath (A Grade). Wild Sweep is not so good after level 40, being replaced by Whirlwind. Whirlwind doesn't require a target and affects any "enemies" within range, Thunderstorm adds stun effects quite often, and Wrath can take up to 30% of a player's CP in one shot, and also happens to be AOE.
While they do suffer a bit in 1v1, they are built more for mass PvP due to their skillset. Anyone who has sieged against a WL knows, that if they are played properly, they can be devastating. I have seen good WL's run into flags and drop dozens of people before they died, the flag included. Multiple WL's combined with multiple dwarves on any siege ground can wreak havoc to your opponents, be it offense or defense.
Any other questions, Nos, pm me in game sometime, I'll have a chat with ya.
wl dont have self heal. what we do have is battle roar which will raise total hp and restore some points when used and revival which is full hp recharge when activated - note this is not an automatic skill, and the user must be below 5% when cast. i haven't timed the recharge time for it as yet but it appears to be around 20minutes or so. wrath is extremely nice, but you wont reach 30% on that until your mid-70s.
We used to have a warlord in our clan. He could easily do a train with four rooms in a catacomb using provoke. With a good healer he could just do it all day and get a lot of XP.
In fact he even used to help us level if we could find a healer. But do to some issues he end up leaving the clan.
Warlords are good for pwrlvling everyone else in the clan. They make AoE work much more smoothly. If you have a group of AoE nukers and have a few healers and a warlord you can knockout some insane EXP/ hour.
Problem with warlords is this game is wayy too biased on Ranged classes vs Melee classes. If the seiges where held in underground enclosed areas, Id say warlords woudl be the best class ingame. 1 v 1 against warlords is pretty tough, but in the end most classes can kite warlords (warlords use thrill fight which raises atk speed, lwrs run speed) pretty easily in pvp.
I played a warlord to about lvl 48, only took me a week or so to get it that level since I had Warcryer buffs on.
