What does CP stand for?
How do you add people to friends?
Are there town specific abilities? Do I have to go to the other towns to learn things I can't learn in my hometown?

Thanks! :p
1. Combat points
2. /friendinvite Playername
3. Not for sure what ya mean. No matter your class you can learn them in any major town. (starter towns can only teach the classs that comes form that town Example Orcs can learn skills from orc town or dion, grian but not Dark elf village.)

giran is the only town with a lux shop, and the only town with near top d grade for sale from NPCs.
The are some differances between cities. The supplies in the shops differ, and there are towns thas doesnt offer teachings to specific classes. The starter towns for example... and hunters village doesnt teach prophets - go figure :p. And of cause - u have the quests that gives special bonuses og equipment for different tasks.
What does combat points mean exactly? Just as I opened this and read "combat points" someone came up and ganked my husband and he screamed "All those cp points went away, wth" LOL. Further explanation would be much appreciated. The newbie guide told me to take my tokens and go to different towns where I can learn new abilities, but I asked my friend who played along time ago and he said he didnt remember. Thanks for the help :) New to Lineage but not new to MMO's they all have there own little names for things, hehe. :p
Combat points are like extra HP for use only in PVP.
Your CP points don't come into play when fighting mobs. However, when another player engages you in combat (PvP) they must first get through your CP before they start taking your hp points.

They act, as noted above, as an extra set of hp for pvp only. CP cannot be regained via Healing potions, but may be regained through the use of CP potions (or resting, of course).
If you are a human you can't get skills in Dark Elf land or vice versa.

Essentially if you are in the new player towns that are tied to race then you can only get the skills for that race there.

However, once you get to the larger towns and cities, there will be embassies for all the races.
To Add to what others have said, CP = Combat Points and is represented by the 'Yellow' bar above your HP (Red) and MP (Blue) bars.

Also, despite CP being used as 'extra' HP for PvP, there are some skills (Dagger Mostly) that can bypass CP or reduce it significantly unlike normal HP. (Polearm/Dagger skills)

And lastly, despite CP's added 'defense' your probably still going to die almost as fast to your normal nemesises as you would without. (Nukers/Archers/Daggers) The only ones who have significantly longer pvp due to it are those with the lowest damage anyway. And CP pots? I'll let some other pvp'er explain exactly who they benefit the most....
