Cheating scammers. All it needs is a simple change

I am so fed up of players trying to sell Soul Ore as A Crystals. All it needs is for NCSoft to simply change the colour of Soul Ore to black and job done. Also, just make the Blessed Scrolls of Escape have maybe a blue glow and Blessed Rez scrolls a blue glow too. With so many colours in the world, why on earth make Soul Ore the same colour as A Crystals? It's not even the same graphic icon, so it should be easy to change.

I think NCSoft have taken big steps to help stop scamming with the adena appearing in word form and the clan names appearing in trade windows, but could we just get these little graphical changes that would help so much and help stop people losing hard to get adena? I spoke to one scammer who simply laughed at me and told me he'd made over 100 mill selling Soul Ore as A Crystals. That's sick

I haven't been scammed myself, but I have used a BSOE instead of a regular SoE because they are so similiar. The feint glow hardly seperates them.

Sorry for ranting, but all the scammers about at the moment make my blood boil. And there's nothing we can do because they don't break any rules. Fraud is somehow allowed in L2
I think everyone wants this to be in the game, just hasnt been implemented yet.
hope noone falls prey to these stupid scams, as theyre quite annoying to see all around town.

And there's nothing we can do

1. Don't be in a rush to buy something.
2. Always double check the item and amount.
3. If something seems to good to be true, chances are it is.
You can read the label all items have.

They have changed the graphics on a lot of things though, so maybe they'll change that too. A doom dagger use to look exactly like a dark screamer, one of the ores use to look like crystals or something.. gosh I don't remember. But things had been changed.

Buyer beware !

I like to scam the scammers. Here is an example :

A pair of dwarves is selling varnish 1800 and other buying varnish 3000. It's an obvious scam setup, after you do a "test" sell at 3000, the dwarf quickly gets up and now buys food for wolves at 3000 (read 30 truly).

- Don'T buy varnish from the dwarf at 1800, that also triggers the trap.

- You can buy varnish cheaper (cause these prices are inflated of course) and then take a whole bunch, wich you can actually sell to the scammer 3000 each. It's a one shot deal, but sure feels nice to scam a scammer !

the hives please .....
Im all for players taking person resposibility for being aware of what they are buying/selling/trading etc. And I never think NC should return items or money lost to any shop scam, even in this case where the icons are very similar.

However thats not to say I don't think they should work to make things as clear as they can. Can't imagine doing a slight color variation is all that hard, or even designing a new icon.
