So i have a baby Hawkeye. But she misses alot. She will miss liek 5 shot in a row at times. I have even tried buffing up with guidence and even then she is missing alot. Didnt know if this was just my toon being a pain or if all archers miss alot. Anything i can do?
Like i said she is a baby.. Not thru her class change yet so not a complete archer but I didnt get my dagger masts. she has a Str. Long bow +3 ( i think got it from the shop in giran). All her major archer skills so i am at a loss. I was hunting in EG and there I was okay but when i started trying to find another place for her to hunt when she hit 30 i started noticing that she would hit once or twice then she would miss like 5 shots then hit a few times. It didnt matter mobs. I mainly hunt White mobs with her. I am really at a lost. This is my first real fighter toon ( i have dorfs but i dont think those count). Maybe i should get my dagger skills and a dagger and hunt that way? I rather not though i mean i want to play her as i will play her later.
:( Errr... Well what am i doing wrong? n I am to big for EG now i have to go to a different place but i dont know what to do every where i go I miss all the time.. Vina Level him to 30 and help me.... heehee
Can only think of either a death debuff which is not shown for some reason or a character that somehow is messed up. That is not impossible, I know of somebody back in C1/C2 who had to send a petition every time he lvld up because he would not "ding" at 100%. In the end they were not able to fix it and had to delete his toon and manually recreate it on the server. So I first would try using a death debuff removal scroll from the shop, and if that does not help, I guess it is petition time. All other things (weapon of the right grade, skills, 7 signs debuff and so on) have already been mentioned. And if you say "baby HE", I also guess it is not a mystic trying to use a bow...
Thanks everyone. I will try all of that and see what happens. I just hope that my toon isnt messed up Like Varaya says. :( I have to admit Vina i really like an Archer. I hate to delete her. Okay so i died in the arena. I had a debuff of some sort.. I dont know where it was but it was there But then i went and hunted a White mob. I hit it the first time and the missed 3 times and then critted. I am not in the full Manti set i only have top and bottom and then like no grade boots and glove and helm But i am using D grade bow and D grade shots. I dont think the fact i am not in full set gear would matter but maybe? should i petition and see whats up or maybe do i need to hunt with accuracy on? Maybe i am just deemed to only play mystic classes and this is Lineage's way of telling me that i am Fighter stupid. :( I feel so alone right now...
Hm if stats are fine by now, you can also check what mobs are you hunting: some of them have icon saying "Light armour type mobs" which means they have low pdef, but higher evasion. Also if there is not any icon saying "high evasion" itself. I remember hitting those Succubi in catacombs was pain even with blunts, and also some lizardmen were hard to hit with bow for my rogue.
Well, As far as mobs go i am trying really hard not to go to places that I leveled my nuker because i know those mobs wont help me. EG was really good not to many misses Its just at 30 i cant find a good spot to go. I am running around looking for "Bow weapon Weak" mobs. which at lvl 30 suck if you didnt know already. Anyone know a place that might be good right now? I was thinking Death pass but i was really wrong when i tried it, Hardens to hard right now, Orc Barricks is a pain because i miss alot, windy hill is okay but xp sucks. The only other places is going to be outside dion heading towards the castle. Ugh.. maybe i think to much and grind to little. And as far as hardest archer goes... that is jsut my luck i have every hard toon to level and i have all the money hogs.. UGH i am doomed i think..
On my SR alt I actually used a mithril dagger until lvl 40. Cruma Swamp, Breka Orcs north of Giran, later on a mix of Hardin's Academy (fettered souls are good with holy weapon buff) and Leto Lizardmen south of Oren. If you have access to VR, lvling your archer up to second class change using a dagger is far faster than using a D grade bow.
:) Well, I logged intoday and ask my archers in my clan if they had their d grade dagger still and my boyfriend went and bought me a mith dagger today. Isnt he just the sweetest? SO I have my bow and dagger and alot more options are opening up. I am not missing as much but still a little but i think that just goes along with being a melee toon. If you now find somebody (clannie?) to hook you up with VR and some other nice buffs (focus, death whisper, guidance, haste, etc.), you will just vroom through the mobs :)
