Blacksmith of Mammon is broken :(

He will no longer allow you to trade for any of the new C5 weapons. (Yes, I know it is the equivalent of one, I had one and traded it for a polearm :( )

Stupid question but it didn't have an SA, did it?

D grade.

ALL the other options are listed. I just can't trade it for any weapon that came out in C5.

GM says that the new C5 weapons haven't been added to the mammon blacksmith yet.

I started out with 3 tarbars in the beginning of C5. Traded one to a Sword of Magic Fog and I traded the others to Titan's Hammer and Titan's sword.

So.. any clue?

It's a bug I think. Only certain weapon will allow you to change to the new C5 weapons. Change that pole to a tarbar first, close the trade window, reselect, and you should see the new weapons.

if she did it once, she should be able to replicate it cause she did it once already.

I was playing around with dark screamers at mammon and found that some some versions of equivalent weapons could be traded for c5 weapons while some others couldnt... you just have to keep trading until you find one that will give you the option 8)

Well, for those of you who casre to find out about mine and SilverWolfEcho's forays with Mammon's Blacksmith. Here we go.

I first petitioned the gm's using /gm.

First Petition:

Hi: I am trying to exchange weapons with the Blacksmith of Mammon. However, the new C5 weapons are no longer in the exchange window. Please help as I would like to exchange my weapons.

The response I got was highly automated, or at least it seemed that way. Here is the response:

Thank you for taking the time to write in with this report. New weapons introduced in C5(chronicle 5) are not yet available via "Blacksmith of Mammon". This is an intentional design feature in the interest of keeping these items rare. In future updates these weapons may start becoming available via "Blacksmith of Mammon". We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in this regard.

Now. I have been trading weapons for new C5 weapons since C5 came out with the Blacksmith. I have never had an issue before with it. In fact, one day I traded the +8 for EVERY SINGLE WEAPON, just to see which looked nicer with a nice blue glow.

So I already know that you can trade them with Blacksmith of Mammon.

It took them a while longer to reply, but here is the response I got.:

Thanks for contacting us. Regarding your issue, we would like to inform you that the weapon exchange from Blacksmith Mammon is a random event with low probability of success. It depends upon the luck of the player to get the items from the aforesaid NPC in exchange, as the success rate is very low.
Unfortunately, we can not assist you in this regard as it strictly follows a definite structure af the game design and therefore will be considered as a part of normal gameplay. However, if you wish to suggest then we do invite you to share your thoughts via the official forums, at http://boards.lineage2.com. Please re-petition if you have any other issue, we will be with you shortly.

Let's take a look at this, piece by piece:

Does this mean that there is a low probability that he will even trade weapons with you? Because it seems that I work my butt off to get seal stones into the coffers of my sign every week just for the ability to use the Blacksmith of Mammon.

Come again? The success rate of getting your item back from the Blacksmith of Mammon is VERY LOW. So this states that if you trade your weapon in with the Blacksmith of Mammon to get a different weapon, that you have a very low chance to actually get something back.

I realize that NC Soft does need to take adena out of the market due to the amount of farmed adena, but my god, take away legit player's weapons because they want to try a new one?!?!?!?!?!

Now correct me if I'm wrong on any of this. And please Mistryl, take a look and find out what is wrong. I have never had a problem trading for the new weapons with the Blacksmith of Mammon until this week. There was nothing in the patch notes saying it was changed. And there is nothing that says that these weapons should be rarr than others. A lot of them you can buy at the Giran Weapon shop. Oh wait, you can buy ALL of them at the Giran Weapon shop. At least for the D grade gear I am mostly talking about.

I think what the guy was trying to say was that the chance that the new C5 weapons would come up for trade was random .... rather unsuccessfully.

Before this last patch, I had tried at mammon to trade in a Titan Hammer +3, but got absolutely no options for the trade whatsoever. I was not pleased ... But today I took the Hammer again to mammon, and got all the trade options. I traded around, and with any of the new C5 weapons, I got all available weapons for trade, but only when I had a tarbar to trade did I get mammon to offer the new C5 weapons. (I didn't try all the weapons, but it seems that he is picky about what he will trade his C5 weapons for.)

Tarbar definately worked every time though, so much for random.

you forgot to unseal the recipe that's why it didn't work! :eek:
(no that isn't a real gm answer .... but it wouldn't surprise me if one of them would give it :))
