This is my attempt of coloring a Lineage 2 picture, she's wearing Dark Crystal but I changed the color of it. And she has long hair since none of the humans does..
Credit where credit is do - it wouldn't be bad to link the original post on the Korean forums.
You might want to try expanding your horizons a bit in terms of what you do with the colour, too - select more finer details, add a few shadows/highlights/smudging etc. maybe. ^_^
When I colored them I was going through my paint shop pro, program. So I wasn't all to sure on how they would turn out.. I'm glad that the second one came out right though I wasn't to sure on the first one.
hey if yer gonna be an artist yer gonna have to learn to take criticism good or bad, it can be hard at times, but ultimately the only opinion of your work that matters, or at least the only one that should matter is your own.
im a super self critical artist and i know if someone gave me that above advice, i'd ignore it :P but really you've done good work and you have to accept that with art you will NEVER please everyone.
so i say if you're confident in your skill, show us more, if not oh well. i think one of the beauties of art is in the sharing of it with others.
whichever you decide i hope you at least keep it up for yourself, thats how you get better. :)
i hope this helps you in some way, and i for one would love to see another of you works :)
I didn't know what armor or gear she was wearing cause apparently I couldn't find anything that matched it.. but any how I did the best I could with this one.. I keep most of everything in it's original color except for the trees, water and the girl.Colored # 3 (http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y98/Freedom_Girl_Reborn/Lineage%202/img_00115.jpg)
and this one is my second one of the same picture of my first post just a bit different..

Honestly I didn't think I did a good job.. but that's me, any how like I said with the 3rd one.. I didn't know what kind of armor she had on... and I looked at all the armor specs to match it and I couldn't so I just used my imagination
I've tried to find the link to the original but gave up on page 59 or so of the art listing - could you just repost it somewhere so people can see what you did?
In any case, try adding more detail into the colour, following along the shadows that the original already suggests.

Again, I have only paint shop pro 8.0 that means I can only do so much on the coloring area and shading, and since I don't know how to use it well even if I read the self taught instructions. I can still only do so much so please give me a break when it comes to a person that has only a limited amount of skills on a certain paint program
There's a free alternative (GIMP) which is capable of very respectable editing work, almost with the same power as photoshop - and if I'm not too mistaken about PSP, the same goes for that. The 'try adding' was meant as friendly advice, not as a flame - my own work with GIMP is far from flawless, or even up to the standard to which I like it.
I'd still like to see the original picture to get a chance to mess with it - you must have it flying around somewhere, since you've been using it. :p
The first two aren't the originals. ;) I guess you were cheated out of some wonderful pencil artwork to work with by someone rehosting. I'll have a look for it on the Korean site tomorrow, I guess.
Those are photoshop filtered pencil drawings - the reverse is difficult to achieve, but for this a little digging around the menus and experimenting would even yield which effect it is quickly.
The originals are detailed pencil drawings - larger in size, too, if I'm not mistaken.
Finally I have a picture I've been working on for a long time... it's hard to get the right shading and everything when you have limited knowledge on working on certain paint programs but here it is.. so no bad marks I put my soul into this one and I love it very much.. I think it's one of the most beautiful pictures I could possibly do..
