This is probably a bit of a noob question, but what does the skill 'aggression' do (aside from raising oponents desire to attack) and what can it be used for?
it's used for tanking. it draws mobs to attack you. it's good to protect your weaker party members when they're getting eaten alive by the big bad dragon
ahh.... Thanks. :D
mind you it doesnt work ALL the time and isnt as powerful as you think.
I do alot of soloing, so getting mobs to attack me isn't a problem, it's keeping too many of them from attacking thats the problem. :)

Sadly you're right.
I've always thought that when you get a skill at X level, it should effect mobs X and under 100% and to a lesser extent at higher levels.
I was reading on a wiki about agression and all it does it make the monster hate you more. You might need to use agression 2 or 3 times if a nuker is going full out.
Typically if you use agression and hit a lot and nukers in the party don't nuke spam you can keep it.

Healers can also draw agression off of you if they group heal spam.

Not sure if it is 100% accurate but 1 point of damage = 1 point of hate.
1 point of heal = 1 point of hate (Group heals bad if this is the case)
Agression = ~500 points of hate.
Group heals use to pull a tremendous amount of aggro; I could pull an entire Cruma room on myself by using it. It's not like that any more though, but I don't think any healer with sense would ever spam group heal ;)
Nobody know how much hate things give. Thers some guidelines thought.

a Crit give bonus hate, same for magic, no clue how much bonus hate but criting deals more bonus hate then not doing it, thats why you see archers and dagger users pull easily even thought they maybe didn't deal the most damage.

Healing I don't know either how much aggro it give.

First char who hit a mob get a sertan aggro points, skills also give aggro even skills who don't deal damage.

Aggro mobs give aggro to all peoples who are close to the one who get the initial aggro, all get the same aggro thats why it usually select a random target to attack.

Thats all I know about aggro anyhow.
aggressive mobs LOVE to attack pets when they get too close also. it's makes it kinda difficult and dangerous to lvl pets.
I used to pull insane amounts of aggro when I played my tyrant - a class that doesn't crit an awful lot. This was usually in party with a tank, a bunch of destroyers, a few daggers and occasionally a PR- who would of course pull aggro like no other. Not sure what to make of this, but I think it might have had something to do with my attack speed?
