Is there a less expensive place than Giran to buy soul ore and spirit ore?
Yes. But it does depend on your server. On Gustin, the tax rate in Heine is 2%. That makes it one of the cheapest places to purchase it (from the shop). The cheapest was always in Dwarven Village, but I haven't been there since C5 started.
I have heard on Seighart that Dwarf it is still 300a, not the old 287. In Giran the ore is 312. So it's not worth my time really to run there. I just buy from Giran.
Elf and Dark Elf are taxed by Oren I believe, Talking Island by Gludio, and Dwarf and Orc by Schuttgart. On top of that Aden taxes Gludio, Oren, and Giran to my understanding. So Most likly on any server, depending on taxes, Dwarf is still cheaper, because it is not taxed by Aden.
Talking Island Grocer i think would have the cheapest sole ore & spirit ore, not 100% though, but you can usually always find people sitting outside or beside the grocer selling it for cheaper than the grocer does. :)
