How can i take out this "course"?

Go to any magic shop, you can buy the item here, if it's S grade I recall you need to go to Aden to buy it.

It cost from 2k up to 50k if I'm not way to mistaken, I have yet to die since the patch so don't fully know :)

After deleveling my farming toon 5 levels I was stuck to Death penalty 15 Oo. Either wait 2 days to have the penalty washed off by it self or buy 15 recovery scrolls. Lucky I went from 40 to 35 again so I good handle it with D grade recovery scrolls. Still it is another 100K adena sink. :|

It never fades due to time. The death penalty can only be removed via scrolls or visiting the black judge if you happen to have a red toon.

As he said...And make sure that the scorll is equal to your grade (D, C, B, A, S or None) or it won't work. Also if you don't get wrid of your first death penalty level the next one will stack with the first and become lvl 2 etc.

Is it only PVP related? What about PvE... just exp loss?

Upon its introduction it was believed that a death penalty couldn't be incurred during PvP - I'm not sure about that personally, as I've not taken the time to test it or listened too closely.

It can definitely happen in PvE.

I just haven't been able to see anything relating to a penalty when I die aside from some minor exp loss.

When the death penalty hits, you'll see a little debuff icon.

It doesn't happen every time.
